Update:The Truth About PM Erdogan and The Mavi Marmara

Steven,

If you were not antagonistic to Jews, you certainly would not have identified me by Jew and cursed me out. Truthfully... so what if people in Europe don't like Israel? There are people all over this world and yes...even on CS that don't like what is going on in your country or how your ethnic populations have been treated. So is your country ever going to stop it's assaults on the ethnic populations? As you say and this applies to your country also...One day, it couldn't be stopped. What than?

Thanx Veritaas. I'll just wait and see if Steve is man enough to come to his senses and apologize to me for his profanity. I have ZERO TOLERANCE for any man's profanity towards myself or any woman. Figuratively speaking only....his "bits" are on the chopping block. Now who was that woman who cut her husband's "thingy" off? grin rolling on the floor laughing

I want to see if Steve is really mature and manly enough to apologize for his name calling bout. I have even called him Sir on some of my postings and have never ever attacked his ethnic heritage.

Me thinks the gentleman needs to get laid to calm down a bit. No offense Steve if you are reading this right now. It's a bit of cheeky humor babe from the other side of the pond.teddybear

Update:The Truth About PM Erdogan and The Mavi Marmara

C'mon Ray.....all the other ships in the flotilla peacefully go along and allow the cargo to get inspected and there is no violence. Then you get a ship with 9 so called Turkish activists who board at a different port in Turkey than the rest of the group and keep only to themselves throughout the journey?
They refuse to stop after repeated warnings from Israel and attack the IDF soldiers immediately with knives and other weapons and speak of killing the Jews and pushing them into the sea?

For crying out loud Ray, don't give us this bunk about those 9 Turks being innocents of massacre. Where have you been? The IDF literally walked right into their own possible massacre trap.

Gee, if the Turks slaughtered the Israelis, they would be seen as victors but since they were killed by the IDF in self defense, Israel is now the bad guy.

Sorry Ray, there are other groups out there that perpetuate massacres and this was one such planned one on the IDF.

There is no doubt in my mind that if the IDF soldiers were killed or injured badly, the ship and the innocent peaceniks and remaining IDF soldiers on board would most certainly been held hostage by the Turks and be used as a bartering tool of sorts. You should be happy that it turned out the way it did and the innocents on board were sent home safely back to their own countries.

Only then would the peaceful activists truly understand what the Israelis have been up against. By then, it would be too late for them as they probably would be sent overboard into the sea to drown...one by one until the terrorist demands are met. Most likely that would have been the scenario and final curtain call for them. Achille Lauro all over again!!dunno

Update:The Truth About PM Erdogan and The Mavi Marmara

Hello u2kitty,

It is not considered appropriate to print things that you cannot back up as truth and sight a reputable source. Based on what you have just said as to whether they are facts or not, about 75% of what you posted is untrue then. I would suspect more than that is untrue. Your cut n paste is typical of propaganda rhetoric of a hate group rally.
So of course you should expect a biased opinion back. Surely you must realize that factual proof of the lies you posted should come as no surprise to you.

If you cannot prove what you write as authentic, then it is a lie. You can try to fluff and buff some of the forum readers but after a point, it becomes very obvious that you are playing on people's emotions. And that is where you will score a ZERO on credibility.

Follow the facts...not the propaganda hate rallies or hatemonger websites. You might just learn real stories of what occurred in history instead of a twisted version.professor

(instead of continually basing Conrad)

Correction, should read as continually bashing Conrad.

Update:The Truth About PM Erdogan and The Mavi Marmara

blah blah blah You're digging yourself deeper and deeper. Your ranting is ranting and is getting boring at this point. At least add something new to the forum for a change.

Gosh, the least you could do would be to comment on the 2 news articles just posted (instead of continually basing Conrad), even if you don't agree with them.

Just please stop the hate mongering rantings already. You go from hate mongering to peace loving and all encompassing love and back to hate mongering again in your postings. Then you take one side, then the other and then try to play both sides of the issue at the same time. Got to admit SB, you really are an enigma.teddybear

Soooooo......are you still backing Peres or are you now going to switch to backing the other side again? I've seen you doing your bait and switch game so many times that it is hard to tell anymore what you think. But that's OK if that is really how you are. Afterall, you are an enigma. beer peace bouquet

RE: Can you ever be told/tell someone you love them too much?

Sir, you are definitely on the right track with your positive attitude on finding love from the right girl. When you find a gal who is healthy secure emotionally, you can better believe that she won't put up with a guy treating her like trash. Nice guys may finish last because they are the ones to find the nice girls who also finish last and I believe they both in turn have healthy longer lasting loving relationships with each other.

However, in some unhealthy relationships, people are fooled with the physical appearance of a person much of the time and don't spot very quickly the serious mental flaws that destroy relationships. It is true that people are attracted to a person's physical appearance and can be blindsided by that.

On a positive note, observe and talk to loving older couples who have been married for many years, still hold hands and have that twinkle in their eyes for each other. They will tell you it is not about treating each other trashy throughout life but about true love that they shared throughout life.kiss

Being a geriatric nurse in nursing homes, I very often get a chance to speak with couples and ask them what is their secret to building and maintaining a lifelong loving relationship with each other.
Some common answers were: Telling each other everyday that we love each other, never going to sleep mad at each other, kissing everyday, talking through our spats and resolving the problem, letting the other person have their way in a spat as it is not critical to win every argument--sometimes letting the other person have their way and try out what they argued so hard for is OK.

Yesterday, I was sitting in my vehicle in the grocery store parking lot and had the opportunity to watch a couple in their 80s stroll hand in hand and smiling, up to the outside flower displays and pick out flowers together. They were so sweet and gentle to each other you would be amazed. That is how we should be to our partner. hug

RE: Can you ever be told/tell someone you love them too much?

Good one Costa!! Is there really such a thing as TOO MUCH SCREAMING IN BED? THE MORE SCREAMING...THE MORE REASSURANCE YOUR PARTNER IS DOING IT RIGHT!!!!!thumbs up

Update:The Truth About PM Erdogan and The Mavi Marmara

Mavi Marmara Update from Haaretz News Service 20 Jun 2010:

The Israel Navy's internal probe into its deadly commando raid of a humanitarian aid flotilla bound for the Gaza Strip has found serious defects in the planning and intelligence aspects of the operation, Israel Radio reported on Sunday.

The internal Israel Navy probe concluded that the commando unit that embarked on the May 31 raid of the Turkish-flagged Mavi Marmara was inadequately prepared and lacked sufficient intelligence when approaching the activists.
The probe concluded that due to the fact that a mass offensive against Israel's commando officers was not taken into account, the officers acted accordingly under the circumstances. "The soldiers wanted to wear their ceremonial uniform, they expected to engage with the passengers in conversation, and that was a defect," a military official told Israel Radio. "In light of the situation that developed they acted accordingly."

The soldiers inquired during the investigation into the reason they lacked intelligence information of the fact that the passengers on board the Turkish-flagged aid ship were preparing an attack.
The investigation concluded that the raid on the ship should have only been conducted after hosing the attackers down with water hoses and smoke grenade.

"Operation Sky Winds 7," the Navy commandos operation to takeover the ship, was carried out according to standard operating procedures established during a 'mock exercise' with more than 50 soldiers.

The navy admitted that they were prepared for "resistance like we encounter in Bil'in, but there wasn't a sense that it would be a walk in the park," an officer said, adding that there was a general consensus of a need for greater mental preparation of the force before the operation's execution as not enough emphasis was placed on preparing for every possible contingency.

'The major defect in the preparations and gathering of intelligence was that we did not know that we would be coping with tens of rioters," the top military commander involved in the attack told Haaretz.

"This was not disorderly conduct that deteriorated," he said, "This was a planned terrorist attack."

Another commander involved in the attack said that "I still awake at three A.M. every morning and ask myself: Damn it, how did we not know more?"

Update:The Truth About PM Erdogan and The Mavi Marmara

Well said Costa. You hit the nail on the head to be exact. What you stated is a fact...all Israelis(with some exceptions)can be called up to defend their country at any time. Even long after they've done their mandatory military duty time. Even the immigrants are mandated to do military duty. You summed up exactly what I've felt in different forum postings. But you said it much more precise. Thank you and much appreciated!!thumbs up

Hi Kid,

You would have to be following Birchie's postings on the middleast forums for a long time to understand why I made that comment. He is being totally out of character to have written a posting such as he did here. He takes great joy in taunting several of us CSers.
P.S.: I hope he doesn't feel that I am at war with him even though he gets on my last nerve at times.teddybear

Update:The Truth About PM Erdogan and The Mavi Marmara

Hi OneKitty,

Thread is long as many people have diffent views. As Veritass has accurately said in this forum somewhere is that these threads kinda move around and go different ways at times. All in all, if you keep reading, you will also gain some knowledge from many different posters. Just don't jump in and judge one person as all good or all bad from just a few postings of theirs. It is best to read many of their postings to get a feel for where they are coming from.handshake

Update:The Truth About PM Erdogan and The Mavi Marmara

Hi Sweetheart,

I try to be civil on these forums but some people go ballistic on me cuz I don't agree with what they have to say against Israel. OK, I have big shoulders and I can handle it. I follow my heart all the way as some of posters here also follow theirs even though we are at odds with each other'e beliefs. However, some of the newer posters attack me as they do not follow all the forum or other forums to get to know me or the lot of us in general. Some just bud in to instigate a bit and then drop out and are never heard from again.

Although many of us don't agree with each other, at least the regulars of all of us continue to post, even if it is the same stuff but different forum topic. It still boils down to the same ideology that each of us will continue to follow in our hearts.

And so to everyone who reads my posting to you Costa, I thank you all for the courage you have to continue posting and doing battle in these forums. You make these forums come alive so to speak and they are not boring to read...at least not for me.

teddybear cheers

Update:The Truth About PM Erdogan and The Mavi Marmara

Sorry Chris, on the other forum, I had thought it was Ray that asked me the question about all the Jewish massacres. I was not ignoring you Chris. For a start, I am aware of the list. But please do look up the website and you will see a partial list in history of Jewish massacres. On one of the other forums, it was posted a very long list of Jewish massacres that was much longer than the listed cases that Ray even posted. That list I believe was posted by another member. I do not wish to take up many many forum pages to copy and paste the listings of those Jewish murders and massacres such as Ray has done here with Palestinian massacres. Out of courtesy to fellow posters here who want to write, I wish to give them their chance to write .

I see no purpose to put up such a long laundry list of Israeli civilian and soldier massacres(and not only of Jews)and international targets done by terrorists, as Israel and other countries are covered with the graves of these citizens. In a short list here, you may recall Mumbai, Daniel Pearl, the Achille Lauro boat, 911, Munich Olympics, Coastal Road bombing, Lod Airport, the Israeli discoteques, restaurants, Jerusalem marketplace, the kibbutze murders of children, the highways and checkpoints just to name a few here. Need I say much more when it comes to these Palestinian terrorists sir and to what extent and where they will go to make their point against Israel?

I am not posting all the Jewish slaughters perpetrated against the Israeli and Jewish citizens since 1948 as it would be much longer than what I just posted here, unless you really want the long laundry list. But I hope that you can get the idea that the Palestinians are not squeaky clean as you may be led to believe. Hamas Palestinians have it written in their charter to destroy Israel and the Jews and the Koran even mandates killing of the Jews. Hamas is very devout on obedience of the Koran. Watch the PMW Hamas training videos and you will see that sir.

In conclusion, when Israel pulled out of Gaza with heavy pressure from the UN and a treaty was signed with Hamas after Operation Cast Lead, who broke the treaty by firing rockets into Israel within 2 hrs after the signing and has not stopped since? And who still shoots into Israel after Israel pulled back out of Lebanon recently? In spite of the UN patroling!!

And Israel is suppossed to cower down and allow the rockets to continue being fired at them, remove the blockades and checkpoints and keep open all the border crossings too because the UN is imposing this on them while ignoring the Israeli citizens lives from Palestinian violence?

Thanks for your patience Chris with awaiting my reply.

Respectfully,

Lilly

Update:The Truth About PM Erdogan and The Mavi Marmara

'Conrad, you have found the right article that sums up below what I also believe to be true. Way to go!! Thank You!!thumbs up

'rocket attacks surged after Israel pulled its settlers and soldiers out of the coastal strip five years ago. "The narrative is, 'We left Gaza and got a rain of Qassam rockets. We gave them everything they wanted and we got a rain of Qassam rockets and a Hamas takeover. And Thursday's decision by Israel's government to loosen its grip on the flow of goods into the territory - vague on specifics and heavy on conspicuous intent - was aimed squarely at a world watching from beyond missile range.

That's right, the world watches what Israel does from beyond missle range. It is not the world that on a daily basis gets kassam rockets blasted over at their citizens. For years, Israel did not even have up a protection wall and took a heavy barrage of rockets and attacks on their citizens throughout the country.
I don't believe there is any country in the world who would put up with a daily barrage of rockets, suicide bombings and attacks on it's citizens and not take some aggressive action to stop it. Israel is no different but has used a bit more restraint before taking major incursions into the hotbed Gaza or Lebanon areas.
The US took action in Iraq and Afghanistan quicker after 911 than Israel has taken in 8 yrs of attacks. And the US is still in Iraq and Afghanistan and pounding the enemy hard. But this is another topic that I won't go too much into on this forum.
I feel that if Gaza wants humanitarian aide via boat, then Israel and Egypt with UN approval should shut down permanently all land crossings and bomb shut the smuggling tunnels and take the heat off of Egypt and Israel when Hamas breaks their agreements with the UN. And a UN inspection should be in force that inspects all vessels going to Gaza to ensure that it is only humanitarian aide that is being shipped in. Somehow I don't feel Hamas would go along with the UN decision there. That way, Israel should not be blamed.
OK, nuff said here. Most won't agree with me and that's OK. You can have your say too as long as you are polite about it. Perhaps you can come up with a better solution that all sides can agree on?wave

RE: Let us not forget the USS Liberty.

Read the rest of the forum Galaxy before you jump to conclusions here sir.

G'ite everyone. I'm shutting down for the night. Nice chatting with everyone here.

RE: Let us not forget the USS Liberty.

It's a pleasure to meet you also here Svelte. You may want to go back and read some of the old Gaza/Israel/Palestine threads of the past. You will see the same type of postings that you have seen here tonight.
Like I said, no one changes their mind very easily. It is truly the life experiences that mould our thoughts, actions and what we feel at any particular moment in time.
Some people call me arrogant but it is my reaction to the inciteful forums that several people will deliberately post to get under my skin a bit. Then other people come in and don't really have a good grasp on the forum and hon in on my comments and have a go at me so to speak. I try to be polite back and stand my ground.
I most certainly agree with Veritass that a forum will meander in several different ways. Thank goodness that we are all so unique and different in life and our thoughts. It makes life rather interesting~~wave

RE: Let us not forget the USS Liberty.

Not sure if you were talking to me or Veritass with that statement but I'll assume it was me for a moment. Several of the posters on this site do deliberately post inciteful things knowing that they will get under my skin and on my last nerve. Sometimes you may even see them calling my name and asking me to come out to write believe it or not.rolling on the floor laughing
I won't mention his name as I'm surprised he isn't on this forum yet. He loves to take jabs at Conrad and myself and we wind up jabbing him back a bit.

But in reality, if I met him in person, he is probably one of the nicest guys to know also. But has the devious side to him that enjoys getting under people's skin so to speak just to sit back and watch the fighting and bickering that will start soon after. Seems to be his "cup of tea" so to speak.

So welcome in to the party and enjoy some of the fun bantering that goes on too. Don't take politics here so overly personal as only life experiences can really formulate and change a person's views anywhere in this world. wave

RE: Let us not forget the USS Liberty.

G'night to you sweet Costa.yawn May you have the sweetest of dreams this night. lips teddybear happy place crazy

RE: Let us not forget the USS Liberty.

That is one of the truest statements about these threads Veritass. You summed it up so very well. beer

RE: Let us not forget the USS Liberty.

You have my respect 1svelte for respectfully apologizing to Veritass. She is truly the most gracious elegant lady you can ever want to know in the political forums here. A gem of CS for sure. handshake

RE: Let us not forget the USS Liberty.

Welllllll....I'm going to be polite to you even though you are being mighty antagonistic here. I've followed your forums long enough to get a good handle on how you operate. I would think alot better of you if you would so kindly read this forum and realize that I was speaking with Costa.
Is there some type of crime I committed while I was answering Costapacket for your information? Quit your arrogant dictating to me whom I can speak to sir. It's quite inappropriate.

I may post as I please just as you may post as you please. But please respect my right to post to someone directly even if it doesn't agree with what you believe. We are all different and all have different experiences and views on life. Criticize me...Yes...but please keep it civil and polite.

Keep your cool and an open mind. If you don't like what I write, it is appropriate for you to leave the forum as the forum rules state.

Just because I don't support the other political view and strongly stand up for my beliefs and views does not give you the right to dictate to me who I can speak to. Please do keep this in mind before you speak to me again sir. This is an open political forum for an exchange of views. Surely you wouldn't want this to be a one sided forum only. I doubt you'd stay tuned in very long and surely fall asleep reading the same old lines over and over.

In conclusion, I am not posting to change anyone's views whatsoever as I am not debating. But rather point out that there are other sides to the issues that some of the posters write and choose not to open themselves too and that is their right also.

Regardless of how you perceive the middleast situation throughout history and who says what on these forums, I believe the following statement sums up my beliefs and others here also. Not everyone of course feels this way and that's fine with me.

"If the Arabs put down their weapons today, there would be no more violence. If the Jews put down their weapons today, there would be no more Israel." And that is the foundation of my postings.teddybear

RE: Let us not forget the USS Liberty.

Excuse me ma'am. It is so very obvious that I don't have the wrong post. You are very inciteful to several of the CSers here as I have followed your writings. very mad blah boxing violin popcorn crazy

RE: Let us not forget the USS Liberty.

If you are really new to this site, you most certainly would not be calling Veritas an ignorant fool. You have obviously been on this site before under another profile name. Hmmm, let me give this some thought and try to figure out your writing style and who you were before. You don't fool all of us Missy.

Miss Veritas lived in Israel and has been alot closer to the middleastern situation over there than you are. You should be giving her the ultimate respect and realize that she doesn't ever speak from ignorance on any topic she converses. She has lived what she speaks and from direct experience...something that may elude you in life. Until you can walk in her shoes and have her experience, it is best to be a bit politer to her. Who knows, you might just learn something if you slow down and really think for a moment.

My apology if I've said anything to offend you as that is not my intention. To call such an elegant lady an ignorant fool was completely and totally out of line.

RE: Let us not forget the USS Liberty.

Hi Costa,

Yea, what a waste of forum space and a waste of a debate. Just another Israel Jew bashing thread for them and their comrades. Probably the OP is someone who carries several profiles on this site. Not uncommon when it comes to the different faces to use for instigation threads they so joyously love to do.
