Sounds like you are ready now to volunteer and go over to one of the arab countries and amass on Israel's border or go into Israeli territory and lob a few rockets? Do you have your bags packed yet? Will you run and hide amongst the civilian Palestinians when the rockets and mortar are lobbed at you and let the poor innocent civilians die in your place? Or will you heroicly stand there and keep fighting until you are shot or killed. Now that would be more honorable. You can volunteer almost anywhere in the world where there is a strong cause for a foreign fighter against the Israelis for that matter, not just Cairo or Amman. Would these people fight for you to protect your life or your country from other terrorist organizations? I sincerely doubt it!! They have their own agenda to fulfill and will do anything to get what they want and at whatever cost!! So go over there if you believe that strongly in what they have to offer you. It could be a one way door for your return to your current home other than in a coffin. You are a very talented man and your loss for someone else's cause would be mourned by many who love and care for you.

Yes, I'm having problems too. Thought it was a virus in my computer. It keeps popping up error, internet connection problem. However, when I retype the website address a couple more times, the site finally comes up. Sometimes, even with the website up, I go to the forums and instead of a picture, I get that pesky red x. Then hit the back arrow and then the forward arrow and voila, everything is normal.

Everyone is right in their own belief system. Obviously, each person's belief system works for them. Why can't everyone just accept that and leave the next guy alone? Whatever works to bring peace into each person's life is right, be it God, Christ, Budda, the Force, a spirit, Allah, or whatever we personally believe.

According to Venusuranus in his opening post, he believes he is sane because there is no proof of the existence of God. The moment he believes, then that is the moment he is no longer sane.(He should use the word "I" instead of "We" since he is talking about his belief system in the opening post)
According to others who believe in a God or Christ, they are sane because they do have proof of the existence of God or Christ based on their experiences in life. To no longer believe that way, then they would perhaps question their sanity.

Everyone, please google in "God Gene." In 2004, Time Magazine did an article stating that belief in God may actually be "hardwired" into most people's brains, but not everyone's. I found there are various articles on this subject and can apply to a variety of religions and may hold true for non-believers as well.

Mine is a deceased aunt who raised me when I was orphaned as a teenager. She leaves me pennies to find when she is around and wants me to follow up on something medically urgent. She extends that same penny find to friends of mine who need to follow up on something medical. The more urgent a medical condition is, more pennies keep showing up and with increased frequency. Only once, she actually showed herself to my neighbor and gave him a verbal consoling message to give me just before I had a surgery. My poor neighbor was absolutely terrified.

Our bodies all eventually turn to dust no matter what, unless we happen to get frozen or somehow wind up in a bog or permafrost in Siberia somewhere. In Genesis, God's name is listed as Elohim, El Shaddai, YHWH or Adonai Elohim. I do not see anywhere in Genesis where God lists an alternate name of Jesus for himself.

Sir, there are no pictures in the Old Testament at all. Please do visit a synagogue and ask a Rabbi to show you a Torah scroll or one of the bibles. You will see no pictures there because pictures such as what you are describing did not exist in an Egyptian culture that they lived in. Perhaps you may wish to consult an art historian to find out when pictures such as this were painted. They were painted much later for sure.
No disrespect FreedomLover, but Jews are not descendants of Abraham and Hagar. Their son was Ishmael. Their descendants would be the Islamic peoples. Also you mentioned that Jews are awaiting Jesus. Thanks Epi. I will share some other wonderful moments of my childhood and 20 something years that stand out and give me pause to think of again with such wonderment:
1) The first kiss I ever received at age 12 while playing "Spin the Bottle" at my girlfriends birthday party. Wow, I almost passed out in shock!! The boy probably did too!! It was a truth or dare type of spin the bottle game. It was a quick peck type of a kiss but I saw stars.
2) Capturing lightning bugs and putting them in a jar and walking at night as if with a night light.
3)Catching gorgeous butterfliles with a butterfly net in the bright sun.
4)Walking my 2 dogs at night in a park on a path that millions of lightning bugs were fluttering on. I thought I was walking through millions of little Tinkerbells in a Peter Pan scenario in another dimension or time. They landed on clothing, in my hair on my dogs, on other people walking, on tree and bush leaves all around me and lit up everything around. It was magical and I have never seen that happen again with future walks at that time of year. (must have been a banner year for those fireflies)
The season is autumn. I can fondly remember many years tight rope type walking across the white fence in our front yard over to the big maple tree, and grabbing the thick rope I had put up. I would take a running leap off the fence and swing wide around the tree and let go just in time to slide right into the giagantic wide pile of mutlicolored red, orange and rust colored cool leaves that I stacked so high. I must have done this over a 1000x throughout my childhood every year. I'd do it all over again even now at my age if the right stack of leaves were there and the rope setting was right. Such freedom of flight and fantasy for a kid!

I began treatment by applying over the counter antibiotic cream and an antifungal cream immediately after seeing it. Thought some bug had bit me. But after a week and noticing that it slowly started spreading, I went for medical care. It didn't appear like typical poison ivy yet. So I was given a prescription of cortizone cream to apply for another week to combat dermatitis. Well, it then spread fast then but still was questionable as to looking like poison ivy. Kept questioning me about eczema dermatitis from maybe changing detergents. But when the rashes got big pink and also large white blistered pimples and the large burn areas and the fever, aches and confusion, then it was thought to be possible poison ivy now infected. I never had typical white clear fluids in pimples. I was 3/4 covered in the rash and looked like something out of an X-File series. Quite frightening to say the least. I
I hope never to get this again but know that if a rash starts to spread, I need to start on prednisone immediately or the consequences can be devastating. I was scared to take prednisone because of fear of side effects. Better I should have had side effects than the agony and complications that severe poison ivy havoc causes. I have no side effects from the prednisone thank goodness!!
Thank you everyone for all your advice on trying to cure the poison ivy. The rash spread, deep burning, itching and stinging was unabled to be halted as it was already in my bloodstream. Fever, aches, confusion went along with this. Was nearly hospitalized. Blood pressure went up and body temperature dropped. I was placed on an antibiotic, antifungal and antiviral meds, prednisone, creams along with rhus tox homeopathic pills. What I have learned is one heck of a lesson in dermatology and the urishiol oil.. Poison ivy mimicks other rashes and there is no one typical ivy rash lookalike for every person. Poison ivy also can become infected on the skin as well as go systemic and other complications can set in.. Hence, the multiple barrage of medications. I had never had poison ivy and do not even know where I came into contact with it. It is not in my daylilly flowerbeds that I could see.
Possible ways to transmit that one might not think of: computers in a public place, flying insects, brushing up against someone's clothing, inanimate objects...? It is now 5-6 weeks with it and it is healing. Some scarring will be visible from the large burn areas.
