I agree. He made the right call on that. AIG going down would have been a HUGE disaster...the others are small in comparison, and we'll recover from them.

Right at the moment, I've had to stop again for a bit. However, I was just studying Kung Fu (praying mantis form) and Tai Chi...both from the same Sifu.

Over the years I've studied Shaolin, Tai Kwan Do, T'ang Su Do, Aikido, Judo, and a form of Kung Fu that was full contact...which this other school was also. I prefer that instead of belt systems training for exhibition since mine is for defense purposes.

Some of us have been paying attention. But then, a lot of politicians started out as lawyers...funny, but come to think of it, most of them are Democrats.

Honestly, around here it's gotten many of them out of a job, since the unions are the main reason the steel mills shut down and all of our steel is now processed overseas. Many blame Reagan instead of their precious unions.

Do I believe in unions? Yes. But, I think that they've been corrupted and allowed to have too much power. Again, JMO.

The words below tho, well, yes, I do believe are relevant. People come into your life for a reason , a season , or a lifetime . When you figure out which it is, you know exactly what to do.

When someone is in your life for a REASON, it is usually to meet a need you have expressed outwardly or inwardly. They have come to assist you through a difficulty, to provide you with guidance and support, to aid you physically, emotionally, or spiritually. They may seem like a godsend, and they are. They are there for the reason you need them to be. Then, without any wrong doing on your part or at an inconvenient time, this person will say or do something to bring the relationship to an end. Sometimes they die. Sometimes they walk away. Sometimes they act up or out and force you to take a stand. What we must realize is that our need has been met, our desire fulfilled; their work is done.

Ah, but these people can be soul mates, too. This is what my late husband was...my soul mate, but only here for a REASON. He was the catalyst to getting me the rest of the way onto my life path, and we had unfinished business from the last lifetime together. He says we'll meet again next time (contact through a medium I trust...I'm not insane).

I don't know that there's another "soul mate" left to come into my life, but I'd sure love to find that kind of love again.

Actually, most Democrats are members of labor unions. Where I live, the Democrats are the laborers who only have a High School education, whereas the Republicans are the white collar workers who have attended college.

However, I agree that it's usually right-wing conservatives who are Rep and left-wing liberals who are Dem. JMO.

I like the place in AZ (I believe that's the right state) where the criminals have to live out in tents, use outhouses, etc. No TV, no luxury...if we had more jails like that then maybe fewer criminals would want to return.

Deterrents like the old blockade shouldn't be overlooked either...you know, that thing where your head and hands were through the holes and you were publicly shamed for a day? What happened to punishments like that?
