While my teaching is very much during the day, the nights are the time for me, the kids need that time that they would normally have with parents and they have resident staff that are alien to them. My new role will be concentrating on the resident and recreational side of the boarding students and that is one that I will relish, even though I have taken on some relief teaching... My new role as head of resident care and as director brings a whole different side to my being than that as a teacher...

You know Imma? I am often here, but when I am at work, I never log on... I simply cannot. Because my work would suffer, so I do not, so although it looks like I am here alot, I am not when it comes to me working... Now I am not at work so I am here alot, however, I am intrigued that people think it means we do not have a life. I can be logged in and post in a thread, have the window closed and be doing a whole load of other things...
Report cards? Oh the days, I spent the whole month pf May doing those, (my school finishes in May) and I know what you are going through. I try to do mine each day, although I only had 122 students so maybe you have more?
So basically, what is being said here, is that once one has met the one, one disappears from the EU forums and we never hear from them again? I'm almost devastated. All of those behind the scenes emails about how much people care for one are lost and never meant anything? Or do we all swop emails and wish each other the best?
Come on guys! Isn't that what we are all about here, in the EU forums, friends and comrades, otherwise why would we be wishing Radders the best, why would we be wanting flower to post more? Okay, in the internationals, I can understand it, but here we have a close community and this is what keeps the EU forums going? Or am I being obtuse? Who else is going to to tell Marki when she is in a tricky situation? Who else is going to help others to give up smoking? Who else is going to tell us when we are out of order?
And who the hell is going to keep this forum going? Who else is going to keep the tradition here, a forum that has got me through some tough times, a place where we all congregate like a coffee shop and have our coffee and have our happy times?
Our forum is the quietest one, but still the old stoics come back and back and should we not uphold the EU forum? Isn't that what friends are about? Internet friends at least**! Or am I being completely off centre here?

I don't think your desire, motivation would evaporate, because of the people you have become used to. Like with me, I have close contacts here and it is a way of being in contact. For me, also, my integration with PPV was here, with alot of love and support from people here. Some don't like it, but on the whole, we are pretty much independent from each other... He sleeps, while I am awake, I sleep when he is awake... Does not mean that we don't want to be with each other. Just life and eight months down the line, we are like an old married couple with the internet...
Well, passing time, when you are together it is not always 'let's spend as much time together as we can'
Of course, CS would dwindle if everybody hooked up and ran off into the sunset.
Sometimes, there is a good debate that we discuss over dinner and often disagree and we post our views, but that does not mean that we lead our lives for this place. We both enjoy it, we are both independent of this place and we have a balance. Spending time here does not mean that we are looking for something else. Depends on why one is here, if you are looking for the one and one finds it here, and one finds that you both should leave then fine. If one likes to be here and chat then fine.
Then of course, there are those times that is not for CS, you know, those times..... Then no person sees us for dust!
They indeed do Tulefel. Like any relationship we have, that of friendship comes not so lightly to me. I take them very seriously, hence why I have so few internet friends. Only a handful, I don't open easily to many here but I when I connect then I connect. Am a bit of cold ICE PRINCESS when it comes down to it...

Oh marki, only you will know what you can put up with and how much you can cope with. I could not deal with it, I know we all have our times when we need reassurance, I certainly do but on a daily basis, all the time, it would be something where my patience would wear very thin...
