RE: Breaking News

Thought Trump said no lock down while he was president lol

RE: Do you think Biden will be a good prresident

rolling on the floor laughing one as not even raised a smile, you profess to know about the politics in the UK and EU, yet your posts show an unfailing degree of ignorance usually shown in a 4th year maths class, are you sure you are old enough to post on CS? I have my doubts lol

RE: Do you think Biden will be a good prresident

Hi, yes life is fine, settled down in the UK for now, hate the climate but as I can't do anything about that just have to acclimatise loll.
The Trump trolls are entertaining, and good for a laugh when needed.
Stay safe

RE: What is your view...on those...who use too much profanity?

Poor little diddums, did the big cruel woman make you cry, again?

If you want to appear to be a man then a bit of advice, "pity me" posts are totally the opposite.

RE: What is your view...on those...who use too much profanity?

Only in the minds of those with less than 5 brain cells lol, anyone with intelligence knows that Breitbart s a full right wing comic that is famous for misleading stories.

Overall, we rate Breitbart Questionable based on extreme right-wing bias, the publication of conspiracy theories and propaganda as well as numerous false claims.

RE: Fish and chips

Tell that to the damn French as they keep stealing our fish.
How traditional fish and chips should be served.

Should there be an age limit for a countries political leader?

Half agree, but think for a senior government position it should be lower than 70, I intend to keep working until I feel it is too tiring for me. But what about builders? Those who have manual jobs? How can they work after say 65? It would be too dangerous and life threatening for many.
I believe the retirement age for collecting a pension should be 65 but those who wish to continue working past 65 can do so, thereby adding to their pension and taking pressure off the government to find enough money.

RE: What caused the covid 19 in your opinion ...?

Maybe because the virus originated in the worlds leading medical countrydunno
Suggesting that China has the technology and ability to make such a virulent incurable virus is fanciful and illogical when in the same breath the accusers say China has no ability to be innovative.
The USA has a lot of labs making and experimenting on viruses. They are the prime suspects for any inadvertent release, but with the LIAR in Chief's corruption, it will never never be investigated.

RE: What caused the covid 19 in your opinion ...?

If you lived in the UK you would be aware that hospitals in the North of England are at breaking point due to the hospitalisation increase from COVD.
COVID is very real and very dangerous to those susceptible to it, But you carry on being a wimp, too proud to wear a mask or take any precautions, when you are infected don't expect any sympathy from those nearby.

Should there be an age limit for a countries political leader?

I think 50 with a max term of 8 years, for the most senior position, other government positions should have a max age of 70. Especially in the UK's House of Lords and in the US's Supreme Court.
The retirement age in the UK is 67 now and due to rise to 69.

Should there be an age limit for a countries political leader?

Was reading an article recently that puts forward the idea that no one above the age of 65 should be eligible for presidency or Prime minister.
Makes sense to me, but what top age would you suggest?

RE: Face nappies, muzzles, submission and an end to job security

Interesting to know that a 2nd world developing country can magically create and disperse a viral epidemic that the worlds most powerful country and the medical world leader, is not only unable to cure but has the highest death rate in the world.
Maybe some need to rethink as their imagination is running wild lol

RE: Tech Review

I bought the LG OLED77GX6LA 77" when in HK, it has amazing picture quality but really hate ThinQ AI, find it cumbersome and not user friendly. The TV works best with a separate sound system, I use a Marantz amp with KEF surround sound. Have an old Epson projector that we use outside for entertainment, Epson has never let me down.

RE: Tired of people being crammed in my face.

You could try wearing a maskdunno

RE: Has the forum become a haven for over - sensitive people

No still the same, if you're looking for humour, g and read some of the pro-Trump blogs, they are hilarious, never fail to make me laugh out loud lol.

RE: steak breakfast

What a crass remark, typical trump supporting, narrow minded thinking.
Some people who think ahead, unlike yourself, are not dependent on a state pension and hand outs, you should be thankful our taxes are supporting you.barf

RE: Women, what would you think of your girlfriend if she posted this on FB or other social media

I would think the man is a lazy slob who can't even tidy away the hosepipe.
Is that a pic of you Galrads?

RE: Quid Pro Joe wtf?

Why not? The scum Trump had his chance and blew it, time for someone else!teddybear

RE: Alien Life

I think we can guess that Brian Cox is not a member of CS, as the proof is already here lol

RE: US, SETS HIGHEST CORONA RATE INCREASE YET (And Deaths) Just overnight..

There is far more COVID-19 in the US than in China, would you like to review your nuke target?
As for "where are the dead?" Try booking a funeral and see what the waiting time is, weeks/months? I certainly is not days, due to the unprecedented number of dead.

RE: US, SETS HIGHEST CORONA RATE INCREASE YET (And Deaths) Just overnight..

Sorry if it seemed I was pointing fingers, not intended. I agree with you, this pandemic is out of control and rather than depend on governments, we the people, need to take responsibility, we don't need to get nails painted or go to pubs every day. We don't need to pack like sardines on beaches and in parks.
We do need to get back to work, start the economy rolling again. All we need to do is act responsibly, wash hands regularly, wear a mask in places where others cannot carry out social distancing. Just take sensible precautions.
Relying on a government and acting irresponsibly won't end this pandemic.

RE: US, SETS HIGHEST CORONA RATE INCREASE YET (And Deaths) Just overnight..

Why are you lying?
Daily number of COVID-19 associated UK deaths
155
Number of additional deaths on Tuesday 7 July 2020

I never said the UK was doing better than the US, the UK government made many mistakes and continues to make mistakes.
However, the UK is not as rich as the USA, it will go bankrupt if the lockdowns continue into Autumn. So the Government has to do a very tricky balance between opening up to encourage businesses against the risk of increased infections.
The USA can afford to have tighter but shorter lockdowns.
Personally I think a phased opening is wrong, either have a full lockdown or a full reopen, it is obvious that a phased opening doesn't work and just extends the hardship being endured by most of the country (UK).

RE: US, SETS HIGHEST CORONA RATE INCREASE YET (And Deaths) Just overnight..

over 900 deaths in US yesterday, increasing number and rate, only to be expected when so many have disregarded sensible rules.

RE: US, SETS HIGHEST CORONA RATE INCREASE YET (And Deaths) Just overnight..

People do not die the day they are infected or the day they enter a hospital, skewing the facts to fit an agenda is a disservice and misleading.

Elon Musk thinks the surge in coronavirus cases is due to testing errors, but a virologist is debunking that 'dangerous misinformation'

Elon Musk took to Twitter on Thursday to claim that testing errors, rather than increasing transmission, are driving the recent surge in coronavirus cases across the US.

"There are a ridiculous number of false positive tests," Musk wrote. "This is a big part of why C19 positive tests are going up while hospitalizations & mortality are declining."

But Columbia University virologist Angela Rasmussen called that "false and dangerous misinformation," and the two got into an online spat as she debunked Musk's claims.

Diagnostic COVID-19 tests don't give false positives often enough to account for the recent spike of cases, she said. Since June 15, the seven-day rolling average for daily new cases has more than doubled, and the country's total case count has jumped from 2.1 million to more than 2.7 million.

Contrary to Musk's claim, hospitalizations are rising in places with new outbreaks. In Texas, for example, daily COVID-19 hospitalizations have more than doubled in the last two weeks.

RE: US, SETS HIGHEST CORONA RATE INCREASE YET (And Deaths) Just overnight..

There are no mass burials, these are real people, mothers, fathers, sisters and brothers, they are being kept in makeshift Mortuaries until they can be cremated at a family funeral.
Making light of those who died is insensitive and IMO disgusting, and those doing so should be ashamed.

RE: US plan trip for Mars - unanswered questions remain

A Mars a day helps you work rest and play, but a Bounty can be more fun.grin

RE: Donald Trump cancels golf weekend.

Hilarious, as if the police didn't have enough to cope with now they will be asked to protect the oaf when he does another ego boosting photoshoot.

RE: Name the one thing you miss from the past...?

A sovereign nation (sometimes called an independent nation) has the following qualities:

Space or territory that has internationally recognized boundaries
People who live there on an ongoing basis
Regulations governing foreign and domestic trade
The ability to issue legal tender that is recognized across boundaries
An internationally recognized government that provides public services and police power and has the right to make treaties, wage war, and take other actions on behalf of its people
Sovereignty, meaning that no other state should have power over the country's territory
Many geographic entities have some but not all the qualities that make up a sovereign nation.
As of 2020 there are 195 sovereign states in the world1? (197 by some counts); 193 are members of the United Nations (the United Nations excludes Palestine and the Holy See). Two other entities, Taiwan and Kosovo, are recognized by some but not all members of the United Nations.

RE: Moving from one country to another - How Traumatic?

But I did just that, moved lock stock and barrel to a country in Asia, my permanent home now. Would be there now if I hadn't got diverted when flying home from Sri Lanka.
