Whilst I appreciate, enjoy, and often participate in, most of what this CS site offers, I’ve just recently realized that I haven’t been focussing on/getting involved in any ‘dating’. After all, this is a dating site, and most of us on here are ‘looking’ to date,… right?

How did I get so distracted? Or did I? Perhaps it’s a case of not finding the right candidate. Perhaps it’s a case of not being able to ‘meet’ those that seem ‘dateable’. Perhaps it’s a case of not having an ‘enticing’ profile…Wait a minute! That may be it. Perhaps my preference to ‘talk/email/pen pal’ is a distraction (lol!).

But really, though, maybe I’ve allowed myself to become distracted due to what I perceive as “slim pickings”, and would much rather focus on the forums, blogs, polls, etc for interesting conversation from/amongst the collective.

And, perhaps, I need to find another dating site with less distractions (no, I’m not leaving CS yet) so as to get back to the business of Dating. That’s it! Problem solved….I think?

It is funny how one can think that another person is gullible!

Why does one take time out to sign on and create a profile in sites like CS? So many reasons and each one will be valid for that person who created the profile. Some may put real and truthful information while others may not. And again - each one will have his/her own reason for doing so.

Alas! Some of the users think that they can click on someone - and voila! Love springs eternal!!!

It's not often I see a profile on CS with someone smoking/lighting up a joint. Today, there was an attractive woman with a clear shot of her lighting up!

A few years ago on POF there was a high percentage of members exhibiting their drug addiction. Usually, it was young guys. My opinion was "It's an advertisement of their lifestyle to attract women who share the same lifestyle." kinda like trouble breeds trouble.

They had a section where the members could review photos of other members and help management (sorry for lack of a better term) 'weed out' photos that weren't proper... or those photos that didn't comply with their rules.

It was a huge site that had thousands of members online at any point in time. That presented a problem for management as they didn't didn't have the ability to go through every photo, so they asked members to volunteer and notify them of photos that needed to be adjusted or removed.

Some of the choices were blurred or faceless photos, single photos of kids, photos of violent activity, weapons, drugs or drug paraphernalia. Probably the biggest reason to get your profile closed was nudity. CS doesn't attract the masses and appears to have fewer problems with non-compliant photos.

I wouldn't mind seeing a 'hot or not' section where members can anonymously vote on photos they like or like to see removed.
