U.S.A.....making it great again
I have heard it said that the U.S.A. was a great country and in the process of being great again. Maybe it is.
I don't like talking politics, and maybe I am just missing something here...which happens a lot with me.
But, we are suppose to have the best medical care in the world. Heck, that is what justifies why we pay a fortune for it. "You pay so much because you have the best healthcare system in the world"....I have often heard it said.
Then why are we leading the world with the most reported cases of Covid? The countries that are in second and third place behind us....I believe have already hit their apex. We...on the other hand...the professionals have no clue when we will hit our apex. In other words, the growth of this virus if far from finished here, and how many more future cases are unable to be predicted.
Why is this... with the "best healthcare system in and the world" Why?
Is it lies?
Is it incompetence?
Just something that baffles me I guess.
Something does not add up here.
Either other countries are under reporting.
Either we are over reporting.
Or....we were very ill prepared...and arrogant perhaps?
In any case, I have heard it said, that when the worse happens...it will bring out the true character of others. With political affiliation set aside for a second here....lets hope as a semi-intelligent group of people living in this great country...lets hope we can pinpoint, when we vote for putting leaders in place, that have control over our lives, we vote the right people (competent) in place. I don't care if they are Democrat or Republican....male or female.

The people I speak to around here all know that this is a serious issue, and Trump's projection of having things turning around by Easter is a very far stretch. But...it is some hope...in a time where it seems that is about all we have at the moment.
Who knows....this thing might be so powerful...that might be what it does no matter what.

They say that a human exists in 3 parts: mind, body, spirit.
The virus is playing its part on the body....for sure.
I am a believer that we do exist in more than one part (the body).
The proof for me was when I was studying for trying to become a better pool player. Some professional pool players say that playing pool is a large portion mental. So, when studying the mental aspect of the game....I discovered that the raised level of the heart rate would interfere with vision and feeling. Pool is also a game of sight and feel. So...without going into many details. There is more that exists to us than just the physical....from my personal exploration. The mind surely exists....separately from the body...I don't know if it can live outside of the body on its own (although I have scene movies allude to this when hooked up to machines), but I do know it can do things that I was not conscious of. (for example....breathing).
Anyway...this might be for another blog...
One final thing....so if we can prove humans existing as 2 things....perhaps the 3rd might be there as well and prayer does have some sort of validity to it.

That is an interesting concept.
But there is a belief that people can become power drunk. The powerful wealthy people have positioned themselves into very important position...hence they are powerful. If they are in love with their powerful self, and are drunk, surely with their important positions...they will try and preserve their sense of "power high"...as they have been successful for many years. With this virus...if it is 100% and not man made...the reality of just how important, powerful, and wealthy these people are...might come knocking on their door. If 100% natural, this virus will hold most..if not all accountable to being just a human.
one of my ole friends has been in lock down for 40 years. He's married.
I remember when in the army we were taught about a nuclear attack, when you are to near to be bothering yourself about living and how far in miles (it was then)
Rooms to be cordoned off and food that was best stock piled for you to isolate yourself until air was cleaner.
This situation brought those memories back
Let's hope that we are not too late to have learned that lesson.

Speaking of stockpiling equipment. I was just listen on the news...just now...to be honest, and they were talking about how South Korea is much better off than the US. They said the reason for that is that they did adequate testing. They said that the US was very slow in the beginning to do proper testing. What does that mean....
Stay safe there EX. It sounds like both our nations have mountains to climb yet. Hopefully humility with all in charge is front and center.
Of course....it is better that the world does not face this at all. But......the reality of the situation is, it is here, and we are indeed dealing with it. So....thinking it is better to not be dealing with this in the first place, obviously is not an option.
I have heard countless times throughout the years how because of our antibiotic medicines have been used to treat patients, germs and viruses are becoming more resistant to these drugs. It seems that as time progresses, the scientists and doctors that have been saying this seem to be correct. Well, from what I see and hear. There seems to be new strains for flues and illnesses that seem to show up at future periods in time as we experience them....that our current medicines have no effect on them....because of what has been described to us as mutations.
If that is true, then I have a curiosity that might be of interest to ponder...
Would it be better that this virus be naturally made...with the possibility of it mutating sometimes into the future into some sort of stronger drug resistant illness.
or
Would it be better it was man made? (I am not saying it is man made...but...hypothetically speaking)

I don't think we have seen the worst of the virus yet.
I just heard a story directly from a father who has a young daughter who was in school early in the year. She was sent home from her teacher because she had pink eyes. Shortly after she got home, the father had to call the rescue squad because she would not make it to the hospital without oxygen. She was treated and recovered quickly...she was diagnosed with pneumonia.
I wonder, even in the small community I live in, if I would never had heard this story unless just dumb luck I was around when the little girl's father decided to talk about it.
There is another story I can share too...but I would rather not at this moment.
Bottom line, even in this small community....covid-like symptoms persists. I would assume in larger communities the same would be true...is not even more prevailant.
Stay safe...I would suggest....take this virus very serious.
Because somebody somewhere said "I always wanted to play it down."
