More Important
Few things can annoy me more than people who think their cause is more important than others who are in a similar situation.BLM comes to mind. It is not that I think that black lives don't matter. To me, when a white (or black) cop kills a black (or white) man in the USA, it is no different than when a black (or white) vagrant kills a white (or black) farmer in South Africa. The fact is that all lives matter.
Sometimes we are too fond of playing the race card when we cannot get our way otherwise. In my experience such a person either secretly resent who he is and really wish he was somebody else or otherwise he uses racism as a ruse to gain sympathy for his cause.
Using racism as a prop just takes the focus away from the real problem.

In 1994 US ratified the International Convention on the Elimination of All Forms of Racial Discrimination and UN later reviewed and reported: UN Review of US Record on Racial Justice Should Prompt White House Action
I know you dislike reading - here is a short extract:
Playing the 'race card'?
Surely you jest!
There will always be extremists who will use any chance to provoke.
Very recently a German Catholic abbot was harassed by a Israeli guard in Jerusalem for wearing a cross, which is part of his attire. No big deal for anyone as we didn't see a media outrage.
There are gays and trans in Muslim countries, nobody is killing them but there are rules they should comply with. It is called respectful behaviour in public places, something we don't see in our part of the world.
Lets not just talk nonsense for the sake of being dramatic.
Every life matters has been proven one of the most hypocritical statements as it usually comes from places that don't care in the least.
It is not that people are on the Palestine side...it is the way it seems to be praised..without condemning the atrocities...and some college students here..saying that it did not happen..
As a mother, when I see soldiers or citizens from any country laying in the streets injured or dead..it makes me sad for the families..
It is the Radical Extreme Muslim terrorists that I will never understand, as a human.
I know many white people in my country that have lived together for years with 2 or 3 children...collecting money from the government..because she is an unwed mother.

Yes. That happens here too. And young girls make babies which are passed on to grandparents to get children's grants. But these are poor people. Children are seen as revenue.
What I referred to are people who can afford to buy a house but simply won't. And yes, it is not limited to blacks, but it is predominantly black people. The whites make up more or less 10% of the population but you will find only one in a thousand whites living in informal settlements and they are really poor. They're not idling waiting for housing. They have nowhere else to go.
1) Statistics can be misused
2) we can't conclude it's racism just cos one group do less good than another,
has to be investigated more deeply.
Like someone said here Geramany is bad on racism
but I suspect Norway is even worse.
That's it for me on questions of racism for now,
as this issue is not fully understood just by a line or two.
I feel pretty confident that the USA is far from the worst, and one more thing:
Donald Trump made the divide smaller, not bigger.
He is good for the blacks and latino too, trust me on that one.
Blow in's come to mind
Anyways good seeing you catfood
Hope you stick around

Fox News is, at the best of times, a Republican mouthpiece and I believe only the hardcore Trump supporters believe what comes out there. Murdoch will print anything, true or false, just for the sake of sensation. I cannot believe that anybody outside the Republican rightwing will take them seriously.
As to the likes of BLM or other movements for other underprivileged, anything that can swing the scales more evenly is important. To right the balance even fractionally is a small victory.
Agreed. Politicians are likely to go with whatever is popular, the judicial system too because bills are prepared by politicians.
Take any example you like and you will find that priorities will shift to the popular causes resulting in other critical issues suffering financially because the focus has shifted.
