3 More Weeks

It's hard to believe that in 3 weeks I'll be leaving Saudi Arabia never to return. 23 years of my life distilled into 21 days.

Am I being sentimental?
No.
I'm being driven out of my mind.

When I was in bed last Thursday night I had a panic attack. I never have panic attacks, but there it was. I got about 1 hour sleep that night, then put in 2 straight 15 hour days trying to make the lingering feeling of unease disappear.
Everything is under control, but I still have this feeling that something horrible is going to...

No it's not.
Everything is going to be fine. cheering

But I've been more extra scatterbrained than usual.
I'm getting better at meditation. I'm able to empty my mind for up to 30 seconds.

what is the point?

Of pointing someone(s) activity on the blogs? We are all human beings with our own individual perspectives.

Are we trying to stop them from what they deem is fitting for them?
In other words, we are trying to control them?

or

Are we trying to mend some sort of internal shortcoming by convincing others that another person is acting in such an unorthodox way?
In other words, there is some sort of lack of self confidence....self worth...or insecurity??

Whatever the case, it does not really matter to me. I only write this blog because I believe people are allowed to be people...in all their own unique ways.

Not to mention...

We are all entitled, as the blog rules confirmed...to write what we feel is right.

If not...

The moderators surely would have removed the blog(s) by now.

Blog on everyone.

Take no offense if I decide not to check out one of your blogs....

That is also a choice afforded to me.

This blog is not intended to condemn anyone here...either the blog writers....or the writers who write about blog writers.

The world is full of all types. It takes all types to make the world. But, I think it would be disappointing if some types felt that they could not freely express themselves for whatever reason.

portugal

I,ve written a poem or maybe a lyric for a song.

Portugal.

Portugal my lady you have given me your Algarve.
With her sunshine that brightens my day.

You have given me your people .
Who smile at me each day.

You have given me your trees and flowers
That bloom in your walm winter.

You have gaven me your houses.
Painted blue and white.

Your have given me your beutiful calming blue sea.
With sailing boats, thier white sails dance in your yellow light.

But most of portugal my darling
You have given me this man.
In his autumn years,

Happiness.

Written now 22.05 with no editing 10 september 2016.

I dedicate this to the people of portugal who I,m proad to say many are my friends.

Isn’t it ironic?

Isn’t it ironic? We ignore those who adore us, adore those who ignore us, hurt those who love us and love those who hurt us.laugh wave

Caucasians, tanning and the broader issues for all

I have been living in Europe for a few years now and have noticed how Europeans and indeed Westerners eagerly await the coming of the Summer. As a black person, I also look forward to the summer as well, especially having endured the very cold Winter months. However in this blog, I don't intend to focus on the very high temperatures that was experienced across Europe today. My focus is on the urge to have a tanned body, which majority of Caucasians crave for.

From my research, I discovered that Caucasians view tanning as a status symbol, an indication that the tanned individual is wealthy, wealthy enough to either afford a holiday to soak up the God-given gift of sunlight in places like Spain, or go to Tanning Saloon or just wait at home and hope for a really hot summer. The craving for tanning is so huge that a lot of Caucasians ignore the negative health effects of too much sun, resulting in skin burns and even cancer of the skin.

In other climes, the story is differently similar (excuse my grammar, if incorrect). The Asians (Chinese, Indians, Japanese) consider a dark skin as a symbol of living a hard and difficult life. That explains why most Asians carry an Umbrella in the summer months in order to avoid getting a darker or tanned skin. On a lighter side, black guys find it difficult to date Asian women because of the skin colour (Yours sincerely has a personal experience of this lol). The recent winner of the Most beautiful Girl in Japan is biracial- has an African-American father and a Japanese mother and some Japanese don't recognise her as being Japanese enough. In India, darker skinned-Indians are discriminated against for their skin colour.

In the black community, being light complexioned is also viewed as a sign of affluence as more often than not, this comes at a cost, cost of purchasing skin-lightening creams, skin-lightening surgery, etc

The broader issues from this is that there are people in every race that appear not be satisfied with their skin colour. They make every effort to either make it darker or lighter as the case may be. They want to look like people from other races.

If we can all agree on this issue, then I would expect that there should be less discrimination and racism in our world today. Peace

did I see the future?

Upon waking up today, I had to swear to myself shortly afterwards..."what the hell."

In my dream, just before I woke up, I was looking at the clock and the time was 7:59 with seconds later it turning to 8:00

I woke up right after that with my face turned to the clock.

Wouldn't you know it, it was 7:59 with seconds later it turned to 8:00.

Weird.

Let's respect each other!

I am very sorry that such a horror is happening in our country now.
You should know that ordinary people are not to blame for this! I can't influence it.
And my profile here is not an attempt to find a sponsor.
It's a shame when people post stuff like this.
