Many people are looking for love

Many people are looking for love
You do not even know what they are looking
because everybody loves defined differently
for me love is not just a word

Lately, I've heard it often enough
the magic three words
but it is true hot air nothing behind
It was someone who was always close to me
without pushing, but always be there

someone who always listened to me without putting himself in the foreground
someone who laughed with me and cried
and has always been a place in her heart

I think love is when you miss someone although you face
looks into her eyes and immediately feels safe
with every hug you feel and desire, the time may freeze
while I was running after words true love all the time to me
I'm glad it's finally noticed

better late than never
with this sweet lady, I spend a good time today
nice that you were always there for me

I will gift my sun
.. That always seems just for you,
Can you feel the heat bliss
.. Even if the sky is crying.

I will gift my star
.. The joy excited in you,
and the like from today
.. Now bears your name.

I will gift my moment
.. Of you weighs in peace,
he always gives you the power back
.. Your fear the defeated.

I will gift my faith
.. Of you keeps alive,
Symbol of white doves
.. And peace in the world.

I will gift my melody
.. A word that speaks to you,
Thoughts of my imagination
I will give you my poem ...

schön das es dich gibt danimaus

Biff moving out of the van

*****breaking news ********

*****read all about it! ******

applause banana cheering

My offer has been accepted, the deposit has been paid, and soon, hopefully really very soon, I shall be quitting the van and moving into a house with no furniture, plaster falling off the walls, at least one sagging ceiling, and a loo / shower the size of a telephone box (quite a lot bigger than the camper one, in other words)

Guess this is a bit late to be having second thoughts and panic attacks.

Life begins after 55

There was a time when being in one’s fifties meant you were old, unemployable, stuck in a rut and just waiting to be one of life’s dearly departed.

These days, however, many people enjoy a good thirty or more years of youthful activity, with at least twenty of these without the need to work.

For many that now find themselves single after raising children, got divorced or separated the world is your oyster. You have the love of family yet are free to finally find the type of love you dreamed of as a teenager.

Just look at the benefits... You can spend all your time sharing an unparalleled togetherness with your partner, doing what pleases you both without distraction, ties or commitments.
You have the opportunity to profit from the joy of grandchildren, your ambitions, in the main have been achieved. You have the financial means to indulge in hobbies or travel and with maturity comes the knowledge of comfort within ourselves.

Now is the time to profit from the adventures that life has to offer.

privilege

Is it right that smart people should get more privilege than dumb people?

This is of course just looking at a whole in general.

smarter people are usually richer..

"a fool and his money will soon depart"

money allows you comforts

smarter people usually get better jobs

they are bosses

they are owners

they usually are good at golflaugh

smarter people can manipulate the system better

they understand more

they live in communities with other rich...aka smarter people

they build greater networks among people of influence

smart people have power

"knowledge is power"

they can hire you

they can fire you

Okay, I can go on...and one argument would be, yeah but...everyone has the option to become intelligent.

That might be true...

but, not everyone can afford a college education

not everyone has the biological make up that accompanies intelligence

not everyone has the time

not everyone has been encourage to pursue education

....bottom line, intelligence is not for everyone.

How far should this whole fight over privilege go?

We do not live in a utopia....things are flawed...perhaps some things have no solutions.

dunno

But, I am all for humanity as a whole.

Trump's Trial

"In former president Donald Trump's third criminal indictment - the one recently issued by a District of Columbia grand jury for Trump's attempt to overturn the results of the 2020 presidential election - he's charged with a conspiracy to deprive the American voters of their voting rights. Accordingly, the American people are the victims of that particular crime.

The federal law - specifically, the Crime Victims' Rights Act, 18 US Code section 3771 - provides that crime victims have a right "not to be excluded" from the trial. If the trial is not televised, the victims of Trump's crimes WILL BE EXCLUDED FREOM THE TRIAL in violation of federal law."

I think there will be consequences of the trial being televised, or not being televised.

Greatest (consumer) inventions in the last 20-25 years

Today my garage opener decided to stay closed. So, investigating the problem resulted in opening it up tp see the main (plastic) drive was broken in half. Off with the model number to Google we went, and within 5 minutes I had the new part on order and scheduled for delivery on Tuesday.

Last year my gas heater broke on the coldest day of the year. fortunately I have 3 heaters and took the part needed from the one heater to the other heater. But, found the part number, went to Google and had the part within 2 days.

The internet in my eyes is the best innovation mankind could have developed for the consumer. After that comes the Cell Phone. But, the cell phone would not be that great without the assistance of the internet..... beer

I'm baaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaack

and I missed you sooo much! Two months today since I packed my computer and although I got it back a week ago it took until today to get connected to the real world.

What have I missed? Who is in love with who? Who's flirting, who's spitting bullets, anyone do something exciting or something really stupid which is still making them blush a little?

I have learned that extreme housework - chipping at plaster, and painting, and hard physical labour rather than cleaning and polishing, although there's that too - doesn't suit me. Every fingernail is broken or chipped, I am lightly spattered with paint freckles, my hair stands out from my head like a loo brush, I say a grateful oooof when I sit down and arggghhhh when I have to stand up, and I walk like John Wayne in his last films. I look about 50 years older than my profile pic. All temporary. (I hope)

Found a bit of newspaper stuffed into a crack in an old wall (interesting ways people repaired walls here but hey, it was dry and the story legible, that was awesome) which talks about el presidento Jimmy Carter, I'm a little hazy on which president happened when, hope an American buddy can date that for me.

So that's me all up to date. Your turn. popcorn
