Its a mans world?

Was having coffee with a woman the other day when the subject turned to dating sites and relationships.

The woman said to me it must be great being a man as everything is so much easier for guys than it is for women.

I thought about this for a while, reflecting on relationships I had had previously and my current situation on this dating site.

I concluded that a couple of decades ago men had greater control in the work place and in the home, however, today the balance of power certainly in the Western world has shifted considerably towards women in both arenas

In terms of relationships women have almost complete control, it is women that decide who they desire to meet and dictate what men need to do if they want to maintain the relationship.

I am talking “generally” here but more and more often I hear/read about men finding themselves having to walk on egg shells for days on end due to an unknown action or comment they have made that has upset the delicate balance of the relationship.

Women have now become demanding and dictatorial in many aspects of life, more so I suspect than men ever were.

Women rule..... OK!

I love them

They look wonderful, the scent and taste of utter perfection

They glisten like a Pink rose dripping with morning dew

They are warm to the touch as if they had been in the sun

They are responsive to the slightest breeze, the slightest touch

They will always amaze us no matter how old we get

Some are small and some are not, but they are the same wonder to our eyes

They bring forth our senses like nothing else, they can make us cry, and they definitely make us smile

I like to eat them, savour the wholesome taste, they make me feel alive.

No matter how cold it is, they will always feel warm

If you're talented you can fire ping-pong balls and blow bubbles with them

What am I talking about?

Narcissistic Supply

right off the presses from Wikipedia:

Narcissistic supply is a concept introduced into psychoanalytic theory by Otto Fenichel in 1938, to describe a type of admiration, interpersonal support or sustenance drawn by an individual from his or her environment and essential to their self-esteem.

The term is typically used in a negative sense, describing a pathological or excessive need for attention or admiration from codependents, or such a need in the orally fixated, that does not take into account the feelings, opinions or preferences of other people.

Hope this helps ya.........are you orally fixated today?? laugh

tattoo and body piercing

After all the years of raising my children very respectfully and conservatively I was deliriously shocked as to what my middle daughter have shown me on my last visit. At 25 years old, she got a tattoo. I couldn't even say a word.

Thank God, it's not body piercing which I abhor.

She held me so tight and hugged me and said "don't worry mom, that will be the only one".

A rose at the back of her shoulder. She said a reminder of my mother who was so loving, forgiving and the kindest person I've known in my life. Of course she helped me raised my four lovely children.

Anyways, I never like tattoo and I will never have one. What about you?

I know some reasons why people do. Do you like them? If not why?
What is the most gross or beautiful one have you seen?

Thank you all for your reads and comments.

Note: in the wake of the world's political heat, just want to write something different.bouquet cheers

A Day On The Blue Water.

I went fishing today. We slipped at first light on a wind still but heavy overcast morning. We even had a few drizzles but when the clouds lifted, the sun was merciless. Wearing a hat on the big water does not help much. The sun gets you off the water and it got hold of me properly.very mad

The water was a bit murky and we had no luck on the first reef we tried. After forty minutes of nothing, we moved off to another reef. I got my first bite before the sinker hit the bottom properly. Jimmy hooked one before I had my fish on the boat and we got all excited but then it went quiet again. Just as we were about move to another reef, Patrick hooked another red roman. Then I got a white stump nose and Jimmy landed another red roman.banana

By then three of us had two each but Basil, the owner of the boat, had nothing yet. We had just started mocking him when he hooked something big that put op a hell of a fight. While he was fighting with his fish, I landed another red roman. When he got his ‘fish’ close enough to see it, he discovered that it was a small shark; about a meter in length. He had to cut his line and the stream of words that followed, cannot be repeated here. Not the stuff that we learned in school.laugh

Then it went quiet again and just as we were about to haul in to move again, Basil opened his account with the biggest fish of the day. That is about how the day went. A little flurry followed my long periods of nothing. In the end, Patrick got six, Basil and I got five each, and Jimmy had to settle for four. I must add that we got about ten other fish but they were under size and went back into the drink.doh

All in all, a disappointing day but the consolation is that I won’t be gutting fish all evening. Three red romans and two stump nose are better than nothing. Maybe we will have better luck tomorrow. The plan is to go to sea again.hmmm
cats meow cats meow

Have a good day or what is left of it.wave

Murder or self defence -

There's a lot of play right now in the UK media because a couple of thugs were threatening a man of 78 in his kitchen and he got the screwdriver off one of them and stabbed him with it. Both guys fled, and the stabbed one collapsed and died in the street.

The 78 year old was arrested, and kept in jail overnight. He was threatened with being charged with murder, but the community rose in an uproar, even the touchy-feely media took his side, a fund was instantly started to help him with his legal fees, and he is home again.

The thug's family are saying loudly that he didn't deserve to die (he has a history of breaking and entering, intimidation, robbery, etc, and has done jail time) and floral tributes are now being left for him outside the OAP's home.

So far as I am concerned, if you can't take the heat, don't go into the kitchen. Live by violence, die by violence. If you ask for trouble, expect trouble, even from a nice soft target like an OAP who doesn't know the rules and didn't back down. Yes, yes, terribly unfair that he fought back, how DARE he. But you started it!!

It seems so far as the authorities are concerned, if you are being threatened by thugs 40 years younger than yourself waving a rudimentary weapon in your face, you should meekly play along, hope not to become a statistic, and let them have whatever they want. The authorities will sort justice out later ...

very mad

I may vanish without warning, I'm supposed to be teaching but my 1.30 class cancelled. I have to be on standby in case new pupils are suddenly slotted in but until then coffee smoking

Destiny

Doesn't life happens as we make it?

Or do we just accept what cards are dealt with us and then make do of what we can do? (or not do for that matter).

What about destiny. Do you believe in it? If so how much of it do you truly depend on it and or do you, like me, do everything to direct and control our lives?

Lately, I have been flummoxed as to how life is unfolding before my eyes and for the love of my life, I don't want to really fight anything that is happening anymore. In other words, I think it has become easier for me to say: Well, if it is meant to be, then let it be.

What about you? Do you have anything to share?

Quite honestly, even I myself is finally sick of this 90 percent of front page on our blog section to be dominated by the American politics ss though we have contracted CS to be nothing but an expose of the American political activities. I do have two of them and yes I am guilty but day in and day out, it is wall here, wall there, Pelosi here, Pelosi there, Trump here and everywhere and I am a bit tired of it.

So I hope some of you will join me on this discussion. After all we do all have lives, don't we?

PS. Is the word destiny more applicable to those who's afraid of going out there and dream to accomplish beyond their expectations? Then again, what are our expectations?

Scalped.... Again!

Some of you may remember how horrified I was the last time I went to the barbers and came away scalped (scapled even!laugh )

Well this time it was a deliberate request following the copious numbers of women telling me that I was gorgeous eye candy with short hair.

Have to say its not my preferred choice, but then looking on the bright side, I'm saving myself shed loads of money not having to buy shampoo!grin
