About 500 years ago horses came to North America and changed the life of the Indians. Spanish horses came first and the word "mustang" goes back to spanish "mestengo", something like a vagabond. An old early mustang breed is the "Sulphur", which still may be found under the 30.000 wild horses in the west today.
American races with english and other blood emerged later like the American quarter horse and the Appaloosa of the Nez Perce Indians.
In Oregon nowadays an annual meeting is held, called the Indian Princess Pendleton Round-up. See picture. No wonder the US cavalry slaughtered these horses and Indians, because they were jealous about their beauty.
April fool day is only for singles
The married have their anniversary...
I filmed this at a house in Hagerstown, MD last night. The music is coming from a private radio broadcast from the house on 102.3 FM and the lights are synchronized to the music. This is a reduction of a 45 minute show (which repeats in a loop from 5:30PM till 10PM) They also have a resident dressed as Santa giving candy to all the cars that stop and of course the helpers you see who are wearing their own lights and carrying the candy and small toys for children. I am wondering what their electric bill will be like.
I especially liked the Nativity display at about minute 3.
It has always amazed me, with all the great movie directors and writers in the world who constantly strive to create a great story or great movie, especially those based on the truth, why there has never been a movie made about the 'Great Famine' in Ireland of 1845 to 1852.
I have my own ideas as to why not, but would be very interested in the views of others.
This thing had just happened 17 hours ago and now the profile has been changed to 'Westerber' and 'Master Degree'!! Unbelievable!!
So, I just would like to share for genuine ladies, becareful and do not waste time with this.
Wish us all playing safe and take care!
It's the weekend when most people have their days planned and their activities to dash to. If you are one of the unfortunate ones, your day is not anything to raise hopes about.
Do you have anxiety as you wait for the good news that what you need more than a miracle will happen today?
Did you have to hold your breath until someone left the house so that you could take a shower in privacy without hearing s*xual innuendos and being touched without your permission?
Was the air clear of bomb smoke and the land free of imminent threat where you live? Or do you stay in the shadows until safety is announced?
Did you have your positive thoughts ruined by someone with their verbal abuse and negativity and threats? What's the use?
Where did you have to go to find the nearest restroom without feeling indecent about it? Maybe you couldn't hold it long enough and now have to hide from prying eyes to get somewhere to change clothes.
Was your depression so bad that your thoughts lingered all day about committing suicide? You had to stay busy and find ways to take your mind to another place. It was extremely hard and you struggled to figure out what you had to live for.
Did your friends beg you to come to a party that you weren't invited to and secretly wished they would leave you alone? How can I smile and pretend to feel something I don't?
Is there food in your cabinets and refrigerator or did you have to steal it to keep from starving and try not to get caught and killed?
Did you wake up so cold and hurting that you would give anything to throw yourself into a fire just to feel warm again? Or did you have to settle for a few rays of sunlight?
Stop. Be more than grateful. Try to make a difference in someone's life today.
I DARE YOU!
I have many wishes and I'm working hard to make as much of them coming truth as possible!
One of my BIGGEST wish is to be lived in a countryside not so far from city and not center city to be far away from crowded, crazy traffic and polluted, where I can have a garden to grown some vegetable, raising some dogs, some chickens, some cows and birds.... where I can completely relax and feeling peaceful and sometime playing my too old piano without being complaining by anyone!! And that place I will stay with someone who I love!
Do you think I dream too much? :)
And what about you? Do you mind to share the biggest dream of your life? :)

The Month Before Xmas
'Twas a month before Xmas, Thanksgiving itself,
when Black Friday started ahead of itself.
Despite a recession and ominous rumors,
the debtors reverted to frenzied consumers,
stampeding each other like hogs in the wallers,
as if in a contest to throw away dollars.
Then back for the next day, and on into Sunday,
with something left over to spend Cyber Monday,
and ad infinitum, while making believe
some Santa will pay for it all Xmas Eve!
Their greed how it sparkles, their gifting how merry.
Such fun to appear a benevolent fairy.
But reckoning comes when the creditors call,
then dash away, cash away, stash away all!
For those who hold out until yard-selling times,
I'll be there to help turn their dollars to dimes.
