I'm Sooooooooooooo Excited!!!

Yeah! Finally!! cheering cheering cheering

For the last few months, I had been trying to get a very good friend of mine to join CS but to no avail.

Registered her numerous times, got rejected and I felt dejected! Yup, you read correctly, it's ME, yours truly, who feel dejected and not her because I oh so want her to be with me here on this site.

We have been friends since I was 13 and she was 14. High-school friends, spent a lot of time together and partners-in-crime too! giggle giggle giggle

We always had each other's back throughout the years... comfort hug

Once, we were late for an important English exam in another school and she got both us there in no time. That would not be consider a feat at all if not for the fact that it only took her 15 mins to reach the school when a normal driving would have taken half an hour!! uh oh uh oh uh oh The best part was......she hadn't even got her valid driving license yet that time!! doh doh doh

Apart from being one of the best female drivers I've ever known, she's also one of the most generous people have I the fortune to call my very good friend. Always there for her friends, always willing to lend a helping hand, an excellent mom, daughter, grand-daughter, sister, sister-in-law, aunt...etc..etc...etc..

So, ladies and gentlemen....may I present to you my fellow Malaysian Chinese friend, Jenny or as she was known as during our high-school days, Hui Ling wine

P.S Can't wait for her to meet someone great here on this site. Want her to join us on the blogs too ( she'd have to wait for at least 7 days before she could ). Challenged her to beat my high scores in some of the games here! wink giggle giggle giggle

Isn't she a beauty?

To you my dear friend, Hui Ling, I wish you all the luck in this world in finding that special someone. Someone who will treat you like how you deserved to be treated, like a Princess.. Someone who would love you and your 3 kids as well. It will take a very very special guy to win your heart and he would be the luckiest guy in the world

What would you do?

I am on the most part a law abiding citizen. I am not ashamed to admit I am a Christian. As a matter of fact very proud to admit that with the highest of regards. I have seen post on here with point of view on different subject. So I ask what would you do?.... If you seen a homeless person who is digging through a dumpster looking for food? Would you run and get this person something to eat and bring it back to him/her as quickly as possible? Would you pick up your cell phone and call the police or run inside to turn the person in to the restaurant manager? If you clearly saw a disabled man/woman or child near starvation? What if the law tells you, you cant feed them? Would you feed them any way? Or would you turn a blind eye and go about your business? The reason I am asking this is because for the past few days My blood boils. In the United States there are over 30 townships who have passed ordinances that make it unlawful to feed the homeless in public! Fort Lauderdale for one. They arrested a elderly man who works with two priest to feed homeless as the see him. After the passing of this ordinance the three were warned not to feed the homeless as it encourages them to be homeless! The following day, they were back at it. They were told to drop the plates! When they did not comply, They arrested the old man (priest I do not know) and fined them $500.00. I am so angry over this! When I heard this I had to look it up myself in disbelief and most every newspaper covered this story, but the main stream media have not! Almost daily you hear about how the homeless are distracting the business districts with their presence in the area. These ordinances require a homeless to only eat from a shelter! Shelters can not sustain the amount of homeless and folks are turned away by the hundreds. So for Americans if it were a Vet? Would you deny him food in public? He fought for your freedom and rights? Regardless, we send food to countries who are starving for what ever reason, and it is call humanitarian aide. We do not require these other countries to be distributed in a control environment. Most are on the streets! How can a country/township be so heartless? I know I am rambling.. I have so much more to say.. Just need to share and get opinions. What would you do?

THE SNEEZE...

Another recent email received...passing it on for those who will enjoy the attitude and determination shown here.

> They walked in tandem, each of the ninety-two students filing into the already crowded auditorium. With their rich maroon gowns flowing and the traditional caps, they looked almost as grown up as they felt.
>
> Dads swallowed hard behind broad smiles, and Moms freely brushed away tears.
>
> This class would NOT pray during the commencements, not by choice, but because of a recent court ruling prohibiting it.
>
> The principal and several students were careful to stay within the guidelines allowed by the ruling. They gave inspirational and challenging speeches, but no one mentioned divine guidance and no one asked for blessings on the graduates or their families.
>
> The speeches were nice, but they were routine until the final speech received a standing ovation.
>
> A solitary student walked proudly to the microphone. He stood still and silent for just a moment, and then, it happened.
>
> All 92 students, every single one of them, suddenly SNEEZED !!!!
>
> The student on stage simply looked at the audience and said,
>
> 'GOD BLESS YOU' And he walked off the stageā€¦
>
> The audience exploded into applause. This graduating class had found a unique way to invoke God's blessing on their future with or without the court's approval.
>
> This is a true story; it happened at Eastern Shore District High School in Musquodoboit Harbour, Nova Scotia.

And for those who don't understand the story...many people use this custom of saying "God Bless You" when a person sneezes.

WHERE THERE IS A WILL.....THERE IS A WAY!

Variety!

The blogging on this site is made up of people of many different personalities, some liked more than others. What one person likes, the next one hates. In my opinion, it's a good thing, as who wants to hang out in a bland, vanilla environment? We have angry men, angry women, happy men, happy women, bullies, attention whores, know-it-alls, dumba*, drinkers, teatotallers, and more. If we didn't have this variety, it would be rather dull, and then people would complain about that! Although I don't really consider myself a blogger, I like the occasional conflict, as it makes for better entertainment. Enjoy a round on me! beer

Marriage

My middle daughter got married last summer after 7 years and two kids together and I want to share my elation on the progress of their beautiful union.

I dedicated this letter for them and my daughter read it with tears in her eyes after they were well settled. Although they lived very happily after deciding to fulfill one of the sacrament, I just want to share this piece of my mind for whatever it's worth..

Marriage is the uniting force between two souls, heart, body and mind to be one. It solidifies togetherness. A complete union and synchronicity of love for two persons who has become one. It is the culmination of a very long thought and perceived responsibility to conduct everything in life for the benefit and glory of two people. A seal that promotes sacred respect, love and happiness for both. While it is not going to guarantee any non commission of wrongs on either side, it does foster a deeper way to understand situation that might be so challenging and difficult. It breeds so much strength for the protection of the union that just by wearing the symbol of itself which is the ring, it creates a formidable impression about the sacredness of the unity in itself.

Anyone who witnesses the worn seal and symbol would otherwise position themselves to not encroach and therefore respect that unity by not undermining in anyway shape and form of that marriage.

Marriage, like any relationship requires a great deal of labor specially for its protection on all harmful forces around. Whether we like it or not, there will always be dark storms that will be weathered. There is always going to be dark forces that will undermine it. There will always be negative froces that will surround it. Specially jealousy and ego. My daughter Karen, in her speech, during the wedding touched my heart so deeply. and said: "Don't invite ego into the marriage ." What a profound advise. What a very strong and deep meaning it creates. More often than not, it is indeed, this calculating feeling of being so egotistic that ruins everything. Be on guard always, that all you do for the both of you and for your happiness is to stay humble and be respectful. Learning always also make it easier to position yourselves on things that you both will love. Be always a student in life. Be always considerate to the both of you and most of all, don't cease being a student of life. It will sustain you on knowing what is best and it will guide you to create a better union and better everyday performance of your relationship to one another. This is a song and dance you will do to each other. Make it sweet and joyful. Most of all be humble. There is nothing better than to recognize all our flaws and imperfections and be thankful that you have the ability to learn.

Marriage is a light that guides to achieve a very loving and very peaceful togetherness. A shield of great possession of being one. Always, you are now one. One body, one heart, one beat, one being and most of all, one soul. n the alert to learn and to understand so that the longer you are together, the easier it will be for anything that you will do.

A vessel of exuberance. Of gratification and pleasure. Of permanence. Of a very long if not forever unity. It is an act of goodness, to make this world a better p[lace. While each and everyone of us can do it, even in the absence of marriage, yet its force and effect is far greater by two people doing it together in a very structured and determined ways.
