Anniversary again of that dreadful day.............reliving it all over again............where were you? What were you doing? Do you still mourn? Do you pause for a moment of reflection of lifting up all who did suffer that day or all still suffering? Just thought it might be good to share a little of ourselves on this anniversary of so great a tragedy in this country..........God bless all

We all know them.....

Decent, hardworking, friendly, polite, pious, charitable, helpful, family/community oriented.... Muslim people. ... It's all I've ever met. But I don't live near the other types. Just what is it that sets the young hot heads off in the nutso terrorist directions? Just reading the Book in a different way? Religious leaders? Teachers and schools? Seething anger over the current state of Islam after centuries of world class culture? Youth influences? Poverty? Lack of jobs/hopes for the future? Corrupt governments/leaders? Or other things? Damned if I know. Aa.

The 3 Rs

In SA criminals use what is commonly known as the 3 Rs literally to get away with murder or to cut their sentence by more than half at times.

The Christmas walk

I got an email from my walking group today. The proposed Boxing Day walk has been changed to another route because of all the rain we've had lately. The planned walk is too muddy, apparently. I was intending to go on that walk, but I probably won't bother now. Now that the possibility of someone slipping into the canal has been removed, there doesn't seem much point. sigh

She said I was smug...

She said I was smug. Unlike the snug bug in the rug.
To be sure, I looked in a book to find this information I took...
Smug: contentedly confident of one's ability, superiority, or correctness.

Was she talking about me, did my struggle here make a rub, upset the bug in the rug?
Do I sense some disdain for her to mention my name, oh the woman in Spain? Does she live on the plain? I know it gets hot in Spain... she said chatty man and that's really not my name. Was it used in vain, did the cold run through her vein that would make her reference me without really mentioning my name?
My blogs are all too tame and many tell me about the same, reference to her blog, I decided to refrain and I'll live without comment, I know I will abstain.

Yeah, I married once before but a member called me a whore, I clicked the button and showed her the door. To the woman now in France, keep your distance, that's my stance. I'm not here to give you money, I'm here to blog and occasionally say things funny.

I'll respond to the suspicion from the South African guy, Jim N's my friend but he is really not like I, for he likes lemon cake and I like cherry pie.

Prolific bank robber brought to book

Prolific bank robber brought to book as inadvertent consequence of covid rules.

Career criminal, Lee Champion, was taken into custody earlier this week in connection with a series of unsolved bank robberies. He was captured on cctv during a raid at a branch of Barclay’s Bank in Cardiff, and was easily identified, being already well known to the police.

Lee has always worn a face covering on his previous jobs, making identification almost impossible, regardless of the fact that the police had a pretty good idea of who was behind the robberies.

He would have worn a mask on his last robbery, had it not been for government rules making the wearing of face masks mandatory in all enclosed public places, including banks. Lee simply could not bring himself to conform to government dictate.

Now it seems that Lee’s principles have cost him his liberty. As he was led into the courtroom for his plea hearing he was heard to shout out to gathered reporters, “I would rather go to prison than live like a sheep”. An onlooker outside the court made the comment, “It doesn’t make much difference, he’ll still be penned up”.

Bail was denied.
