why do people fight for whsts not there's?

Reding an article I can't help feeling nauseous .

Live and let's live .

We came here with nothing and nothing we shall take back with us.

Let'sstop arguing about rights black and White .

How can you take what's mine and then call it yours?

We have lose our identity because if hatred we are blinded by greed and power.

But just like how the river will one day take back its course and the sea its original dept and path so will all bnations find their original land.

Things that annoy me #42,065...

My cellphone is rarely more than a few feet from me and I try to catch every call. The exceptions are using the restroom, being on another call or in a meeting with a client.

If I miss a call, it's not more than a minute or two I'll listen/read the message. Sometimes I'll get one of these: "It's important, I need to speak to you, call me back right away."

I return the call.
No one answers.
It goes to voice mail.
I leave a message and... they never call me back.

Wait, I've got one better... Things that annoy me #42,066...
THE MAILBOX OF THE PERSON YOU ARE TRYING TO REACH IS FULL...

On returning my goods

I bought a light bulb last October. It was an LED bulb and guaranteed to last 15 years. Well it expired on Friday night. I took it back to the store where I bought it from on Saturday morning, and the woman on customer service was clearly disorientated when I not only produced the receipt, but the original packaging also. It was obvious to me that that isn’t the way it usually happens.

Nicknames given to us

When I was growing up, I had a few kids that I would hang with sometimes on my block call me "Thurman Munson" (former baseball catcher from the Yankees who was killed in a plane crash) because of how "Thurman" sounded almost like my last name.

I then nicknamed myself "Thor" (God of Thunder) because of the first four letters in my last name.

And then in 1983, some kids got wind of my middle name (Patrick) and for the hell of it started calling me "Patty". doh

Since then, I am now being called "Tease (for about the last 15 years), Trouble, Shawna and Shawnda, because I have decided to let my hair grow out at work. People are having way too much fun with this. rolling on the floor laughing

Feel free to share the nicknames people call you.

The bike rack...

I live in a large condo community, probably a few hundred units with golf, tennis 3 pools and some restaurants. I live on the 2nd floor and considering to buy a bike for some exercise but there aren't any bike racks near me. My choice is the drag the bike up the stairs or use the elevator. The problem with the elevator are signs restricting people only (they complain if you are carrying luggage) and a weight restriction.
I called the president of the HOA and asked if there would be a chance to install one rack by the courtyard entrance. She said no. They decided that no one living there is young enough to ride a bicycle. I thought WTF... no one is young enough?
So I brought up the subject of permission to take the bike into the elevator. She didn't have an answer and asked the weight of the bike... Less than 50 pounds was my response and she said she would place a call to the elevator company.

I assured her the woman in the electric wheelchair at the end of the building wouldn't be restricted access to the elevator! That's one of the reasons they were installed.

She said she would get back to me on that.
It's been 4 days and I've heard nothing.

No one living there young enough to ride a bike??

"One is the loneliest number you can ever do"

But, not when it's the number of days until the long awaited country-wide party. applause

Yes, as predicted, as anticipated, as about to be celebrated, tomorrow it's finally party time.
First the trash has to be taken out to make room for MUCH better stuff.
(Don't) pardon the current mess.

Conversations - chit chat -

Seems we have lost the art of conversation.... Have you sat down recently, coffee in hand at a little coffee house? What do you see? People bent on their phones, tapping away instead of enjoying the smell of freshly baked bread, or the smell of freshly brewed coffee? People do not even have a conversation with the person they are sharing the table with!

Gone are the days....
