Can you believe that, in this modern day and age, there are still people believing that the Earth is flat? Several cults and associations support this notion.

They have ‘very good’ refutations for any scientific proof that the earth is round. When shown some of the photos of Earth taken by NASA, their only comment was that it is easy to see how such photography can fool the untrained eye.

My grandfather went to his grave believing that the earth was flat and that it was stationary. This I can understand. He was an illiterate man and the only writing he was capable of, was to sign his name. But some of these people are well-schooled people.

When somebody tells me that the earth is flat, I cannot argue with him. How do I prove to him that the Earth is round while he choose to ignore the scientific evidence and has a ‘good’ argument to support his viewpoint? I was taught that the Earth is a slightly flattened sphere. I never saw it and I cannot authenticate the photos taken by NASA because I was not there. I have to believe it because everything else tells me the earth is round.

But I wonder if these people really believe that the Earth is flat. Or are they just trying to be difficult, awkward, radical, or different? I know a lot of people like that. Well, here is a cause for them to support.

I was brought up with a lot of misconceptions about many things. Some things that I was told are right, were not right and other things that was said to be wrong, turned out to be Ok. We are conditioned by our environment but as we grow up, we start thinking, we look around, and we learn. We weigh up the evidence and decide for ourselves. We cannot stare ourselves blind into what we think is true.

Oh, did I tell you that there is no such a thing as gravity?

A boat has come onto the market & I reckon it's a bargain, £350,000, sounds a lot but I have a cunning plan



Ever since I developed inward-growing hair (where hair instead of growing outward on your head grows inwardly & finally in the later stages of the illness starts coming out of your ears, nose or anywhere but on your head) I've had an idea in the back of my mind, why not sell up & travel around the world to visit all my CS friends,



Being afflicted with inward growing hair may be a problem but could also be the solution I got my abacus out of the cupboard & did some calculations, with hair cuts at say £20 a time I can save over £100 a year there, then there's shampoo & other related grooming products so around £200 in total, just £349,800 left to find

It's a disaster, just found out the boat is only available to rent, at £350,000 per week I won't get round the world in a week, any ideas

Meine Hobbys sind sehr zahlreich. Es gibt viele Dinge, daß mich interessiert. Natürlich ist die deutsche Sprache ein solches Hobby. Auch ist Russich. Jetzt studiere ich die russiche Sprache, um es zu lernen. Ich kann deutsch ein bißchen gut verwenden, aber ich muß es mehr üben. Die Philosophie und die Wissenschaft sind meine zwei tiefeste Leidenschaften. Jeden Tag denke ich über viele Sachen nach, einschließlich meiner Platz in der Welt, in dem Universum. Die Wissenschaft enthält alle die Antworten für meinen Fragen, über warum das Universum (die Erde auch, und mehr) ist wie es ist. Die Philosophie hilft ein bißchen auch damit (selsbtverständlich ist die Wissenschaft 'ne Philosophie!). Die Hauptstudienfächer für mich sind Astronomie, Kosmologie, Biologie, Quantenmechanik. Zurzeit habe ich viel Lust, die regionale Pflanze zu bezeichnen. Ich weiß fast nichts über die lokale Flora.

Ich bin eine Musiker und eine Liedermacher. Ich spiele und schreibe gern Instrumentalmusik, Heavymetalmusik, Rockmusik, sanfter Musik und klassiche Musik. Ich bin darin sehr eklektisch. Ich schreibe auch Liedtexte und singe, wie gut ich kann (ich bin kein Sammy Hagar).

In puncto Aktivitäten fahre ich mein Rad gern, schwimme (nur selten, aber ich mag es gern), spiele Racquetball, Tennis und Disc Golf gern (mehr selten).

Bislang falle mir nicht mehr ein.

caught up with the guy in the picture....he trapped the coconut crabs and keep feeding them with dry coconut meat till they grow big......i feel sorry for the poor creatures ....however what a delicious meal this coconut crab will be if well cooked.

I have been pondering this for a long time , I would like some advice from you all , my past bad relationships have left me with this problem, learning to trust again I know there are good guys out there but I haven't meet one yet, and thats the truth, I have either been ript off or just used, sorry to say, so that is one reason I stayed single for so long, any ideas
