Is Fear the Real Virus?

Since March 2020 the world has been subjected to the most draconian measures ever applied in peace-time. Although the extent of the restrictions has varied from country to country, it’s undeniable that for the vast majority of people, at least in the western world, there has been a massive erosion of basic human rights and freedom. All this for a virus that has a 99% plus survival rate for the majority of those infected.

It has completely mystified me that so many people have accepted measures such as lockdowns, mask mandates, social distancing, testing and quarantining of people who have no symptoms whatsoever. What has puzzled me the most is that so many people have complied with most of these dictates without taking the time to consider the inconsistencies in what they are being told. For example, if the so-called vaccines that have been promoted mercilessly are really effective, why are people still required to continue practising social distancing and wearing masks? This makes no sense. Yet, so many people comply mindlessly.

In the UK the COVID response has been driven by The Behavioural Insights Team. Recently the Telegraph newspaper reported that members of the Scientific Pandemic Influenza Group on Behaviour (SPI-B) have openly admitted that their work in using psychology to influence public COVID reactions is unethical and totalitarian. Was the real aim to create so much fear and anxiety in the general population that they would willingly comply with dictates they would otherwise have rebelled against? Was it also the intention to create such a degree of fear that the majority of people, many of whom were perfectly healthy, would willingly allow themselves to be injected with these mRNA experimental ‘vaccines’ that have no long-term safety data?

Only a year 'til Murkuns select/re-select a POTUS.

Swamie bumped my "LEAVE DONALD ALONE", blog posted just prior to Election Day '16 & it was interesting to see what was on the minds of folks as the Election From Hell devil was coming to an end - or so we naively thought at the time.
Such as -
"I will be glad when all this will be over."
- Angelpepper, a week before Election Day, '16
"...over" rolling on the floor laughing

Anyway.
That glimpse into the past inspired THIS humble effort -
A one year countdown to Election Day, '20 ... When it will all be over laugh & our elected office holders will calmly, deliberately & soberly undertake the business of governing Murka - You know, like they've done since the '16 Election From Hell devil
rolling on the floor laughing

America, the land of opportunity and freedom

Internationally, the USA is regarded as a land of so many things. Most of them are not so good. Depending upon where you live and how you live, it defines and influences how you perceive this great country.

I say great because from my own experience and how I have seen and lived in some places of the world, I as a citizen and have lived here more than anywhere else, the Philippines where I was born included, find this country the most diversified (earned the famous saying: the melting pot of the world) and most sought after from the rest of the world.

When I was in Australia, I learned that we the Americans are regarded as loud, arrogant and warriors, but at the same time, I also learned that we are the land of opportunity, kindness and generosity.

When I lived in Europe, albeit, a very short while, almost all the people I met had been dying to come and visit if not work and live in America. I still find this to be true, specially from the poor countries of the world.

Anyways, like I said, our perceptions and understanding of this country is as diversified and as polarized as our understanding or lack thereof depending on many things and reasons.

I do understand if there are some that might find our values and general attitudes, obnoxious and lacking humility. But just as any country in the world there is no way, one's perception and experience can truly represent the general identity of any place.

For me and the rest of those that migrated here, I find it still very responsive for those who seek to fulfill the not so elusive "American Dream."

This blog is not to change anyone's perception, it only represents my opinion and those that might find it as correct as I do.

I love this country and inspite of all the negative connotations we have earned as a nation, it is still the best for me, my children and my family.

Have a nice Sunday fellow bloggers, readers and contributors if any.

Your comments are all appreciated and feel free to say what you like or dislike in our country, including me of course, and I am sure so many of you don't like me and what I believe in. That is okay. Bring it on.

I am sure there are so many of us who's opinions are favorable and not so favorable. I understand. We are all different and therefore your opinion is for me, just yours and I respect it.hug

The most honest Muslim ever

Shockingly true. Finally someone in the Muslim world sees and expresses the truth.

Way to go Yousef Al-Husseini.

The TRUTH hurts but for humanity's sake we must face it and do something about it.

I hope peace will reign for the whole of humanity.wave

The specific goal of Hirshi, is to remove any excuse that causes these terrorism.

Explain why the millions of non terrorist who stood in support if the killing of Hebdo

Explain the caliphation movement, history indicates it's continuum. There wasn't a single Muslim in the middle East in 600 AD.

Explain the above link that promotes killing of infidels by a preacher. Don't tell me the audience were only terrorists in the making.

Again, there are goid people in every religion, they are not the ones that are persecuted.

Then again, the San Bernardino incident, killed 14 innocent Americans.

Born and raised in the US, he wasn't showing any terrorism inclinations, two years before the incident, he went to Pakistan abd married a terrorist.

The point I'm making, we can't be sure who is good and a terrorist one.

Trump for that reason wants to stop Muslim coming to the US. I can't agree more.

The Significance of Ladybugs.....

Almost all countries consider ladybugs good luck. But are they? My experience so far confirms this theory. I don’t think my Mom would agree, because one summer she had a ladybug infestation.

My first significant encounter with a ladybug was one of the days I almost died. I used to ride motorcycles with a group of very reckless people. Every time we hit the bridge in town we would all take off at ungodly speeds. Sometimes I joined in, other times I stayed in the back. This particular day two of the guys were riding really aggressively.

The first guy took off, and the second followed closely behind carrying a 16 year old on the back. They were going much faster than me, perhaps 120. I was going about 90 when something told me to get in the other lane. They were playing far too much for my liking.

Suddenly, a ladybug landed directly on my visor. I was perplexed that the ladybug did not get smashed into oblivion like every other bug does at these speeds. Before that thought was even finished I looked up to witness one of the most horrific things I have ever seen. The second rider and the passenger slammed into the other rider at over 100mph on the peak of the bridge. My heart sank. Time stopped. I couldn’t breathe. I watched three people get slung into the air like ragdolls, heard the awful noise of the impact, and watched in horror as bike parts exploded into an atomic mushroom cloud. They were tumbling along the road like tumbleweeds. Not one had a helmet.

As the shrapnel rained down, half of a bike and one rider began to slide into my lane. I had to make the most important split second decision of my life - try to pass the piece of bike and the rider without crashing, or attempt an extremely quick stop and potentially lose control, crash, or run someone over. I slammed on the brakes and struggled to not crash. The bike began to wobble and lose its balance. I came to a screeching halt within inches of the drifting piece of bike and my friend. I went from 90 to 0 in about 4 seconds. That was a new one for me.

The ladybug didn’t move an inch. I took a moment to compose myself and figure out how to breathe again, and then I went into autopilot. I checked on everyone to make sure they were alive. Two of the three were not in good shape. The girl’s hair got stuck in the bike tire during the airborne collision. She was missing half a head of hair, her shoe flew over into the ocean, and she would easily require major skin reconstruction for the rest of her life. The entire left side of her body had literally been peeled off. The other rider went as white as a ghost and started to pass out. He wanted me to call his mom. The bike that split in half was still blocking the bridge. Gasoline was spilling everywhere. The second rider walked away with not one scratch on his body. He even came and singlehandedly hoisted the 600lb bike out of traffic. They say men can lift entire cars with a high dose of adrenaline, but I never saw such a thing in my life.

As we waited for the paramedics to take our friends to the hospital, one of the other guys walked back with me to get my bike. He quit smoking for almost a year until that day. I proposed we get away from the gasoline first. As he smoked, I showed him the unrelenting ladybug. He was already beside himself, but this really bewildered him. He insisted someone had been watching over me today. As the paramedics loaded up our friends and drove away, the ladybug slowly fluttered off my bike. It is indeed life's little irony how nothing can really make you feel more alive than being so close to death.

That was my first significant encounter with a ladybug……..

About Jeanne Calment: The Oldest Person in the World

Jeanne Louise Calment (February 21, 1875 - 4 August 1997) is confirmed as the oldest person to ever live in history. She lived for 122 years and 164 days which is an astonishing total of 44,724 days. She lived her entire life in France at the time of her death,

Jeanne is a great example of graceful aging. She has proved that healthy living is not always the answer to a long life. She smoked for almost her entire life and ate one kilo of chocolate weekly in addition to a port wine diet. In 1994, her weight was said to be 45kg. She had remarkable health and lived on her own till a surprising age of 110. She took up hobbies like fencing at the age of 85 and cycled till she was about 100 years of age. In 1995, on 17 November, a documentary was released based on her life and was named Beyond 120 Years with Jeanne Calment. She was moved into a nursing home only after she had a cooking accident which led to a small fire in her apartment. This accident is said to be an outcome of improper vision. After another accident, where she fractured her femur, she had to always use a wheelchair. She was then aged 114.

War, why is it a part of humanity?

Who started it and why it doesn't go away?

I am sure so many of us would not want war at all, and yet history says, it has been a part of man's life from the beginning until now.

When and how will it end? Any ideas?

Personally I wish there would be no war at all. With all its destruction and causes of suffering and deaths, I wish it never ever happen at all. But it does. Why?

What To Expect When One Is "Menopausing" ?

Been There, Done That ?

According to Wikipedia:

Menopause, also known as the climacteric, is the time in most women's lives when menstrual periods stop permanently, and they are no longer able to have children , a natural change that typically occurs between 45 and 55 years of age. It can occur earlier in those who smoke tobacco. Other causes include surgery that removes both ovaries, or some types of chemotherapy. At the physiological level, menopause happens because of a decrease in the ovaries' production of the hormones estrogen and progesterone.

Symptoms:

* Dyspareunia is painful s*xual intercourse due to medical or psychological causes. The pain can primarily be on the external surface of the genitalia, or deeper in the pelvis upon deep pressure against the cervix. It can affect a small portion of the vulva or va*ina or be felt all over the surface

* Vaginal dryness

* Atrophic vaginitis (also known as vaginal atrophy, vulvovaginal atrophy, or urogenital atrophy) is an inflammation of thevagina (and the outer urinary tract) due to the thinning and shrinking of the tissues, as well as decreased lubrication. These symptoms are due to a lack of the reproductive hormone estrogen.

Other physical symptoms of menopause include: lack of energy, joint soreness, stiffness, back pain, breast enlargement, breast pain, heart palpitations, headache, dizziness, dry, itchy skin, thinning, tingling skin, weight gain, urinary incontinence, urinary urgency, interrupted sleeping patterns, heavy night sweats, hot flashes.

Psychological symptoms include: anxiety, poor memory, inability to concentrate, depressive mood, irritability, mood swings, less interest in s*xual activity.

Yes, Yes, we all know about menopause...doh laugh

This blog is not to educate others about menopause...as I haven't experienced it yet...not looking forward to it tho! 'Was sitting with friends yesterday and this topic came up. Most of my friends here in Jordan are either going through menopause or were already there. Symptoms they are going/went through are exactly what I read about on the internet and books but in most "s*xual" topics here on blogs and forum, many women who are past the menopausal age claimed to be "hotter" after menopause...this is contradicting science and what I've heard from those who went through it ...makes me wonder if they're simply BSing and "wet dreaming" here ?doh Many here claimed to be very sexually active after menopause...more than ever and looking for a nicely packaged hot tall, dark and handsome man who has all the right qualities...won't settle for less than great sex...seriously?dunno laugh

Here is a great place to read and learn from the experiences of others but it seems many here are in denial of their decline and failures in life...who are we kidding ?dunno

Most of my friends who are going through menopause or been there said that they're no longer interested in dating...menopause makes them feel sexually unattractive and "old". This doesn't make me look forward to my menopausal days at alldoh

For the men:

Would you date a woman who's going through menopause and experiencing those symptoms above ?
