Frozen Nights

It Holloween Night and its a Scare.

Hard to say goodbye to your love ones with a Prayer.

Business soon booming for what is not right.

Toys and Candies for Children happen at Night.

I have seem leaves fallen as Autumn Looms.

Violet Sunrise are good perfumes.

Funny or Crazy we all can be.

As these Frozen Nights inspire me.

Barking Dogs Howl Nowadays. As Autumn falls before Winter fades.

That’s true, but…

If it’s important to me,
If it’s my way of expressing my joy;
If I feel that it’s between me and HIM,
Then what’s the harm? What’s it to you?
I’ll do me, and you should do you.
Yes, I know that it's not HIS birthday;
And the day isn't as important as the event.
HE didn’t say that we should remember HIS birth.
He did say that we should remember HIS death, and resurrection.
That’s true, but isn’t HIS birth and life significant events as well?
Isn’t it true that His birth made the rest of it possible?
Do you think that HE would love me less if I celebrate all of it.
I don’t think so, so I’ll take my chances.
I’ll just share my joys and wishes with those who feel the same.

Garage Sale Drama

Covid has taken a huge bite out of the number of garage sales
I have a Chevy Cruze with remote start
If the battery gets low the car won't start
I came close to being stranded in front of St Mary's Gym
I thought they had a garage sale in the gym
They didn't
I was supposed to help my sister haul away garbage from Mom's home today
A day before Mother's Day
Not happening!
I didn't support her being taken from her home
I'm not going to be part of her loss of her freedom
Freedom to drive her car
Gone!
Freedom to live with her grandchildren
Gone!
Her mind
Going, Going, Gone!
At least I got some good chocolate chip cookies

About this poem:
I was lucky enough to be off work today so I could get a few garage sales in. I asked a woman I bought a joke book about Norwegians if she was, she laughed and said she was Swedish.

Night of the Meek

I have always enjoyed the Twilight Zone
One of my favorites for the holidays is called Night of the Meek
In it a drunken Santa Claus gets fired for being drunk as Santa
He is stumbling through an alley and finds a magic sack
This sack will give anyone whatever they ask for
He gives out presents to poor people and children
He gets arrested and shows the sack is really magical and gets released
The store manager who has him arrested believes too when he gets brandy
In the end he becomes Santa and rides off in a sleigh with a girl elf
My favorite part is when a guy tells him there was nothing for you
He says, I can't think of anything I want
What I really wanted was to be the biggest gift giver of all time
And tonight I think I had that
But if I had a wish it would be to do this every year
That would be a heck of a gift

Parade

Get there an hour and a half before the parade starts at 9:30
Gather my cell phone, digital recorder, Nintendo DS, book on Nam and crime
Pop and water, kettle popcorn, beef sticks, and candy cigarettes
Watch the soldiers, police, marching bands walk and ride by
See Travis Tranel (who is running unopposed) campaign for reelection
Watch the candy, cheese( Dairy Days Parade) and rainbow flags given out
See the kids scramble for all the candy
Post a pic of a smartee candy and another crushed under many tires
This is your candy
This is your candy on drugs
Any questions?

Carrie Retold

Carrie was a popular girl at her school
She was really good at playing volleyball
She had a loving mother and father who supported her
Carrie had a really nice boyfriend named Tommy Ross
They went to the prom together and were elected King and Queen
For the amusement of the patrons Carrie showed off her telekinesis
The ability to move objects with her mind
Everybody was entertained and had a great time
Carrie went on to marry Tommy Ross and supported him well
She became bigger than Michael Jackson with her special gift
She not only moved objects with her mind, but moved the world to peace
All lived happily ever after
The End

About this poem:
Stephen King just celebrated his 75th birthday on September 21. I enjoy his first novel of Carrie, which as you know, ends rather badly.

Thinner Retold

There once was a fat man who weighed 300 pounds
He accidentally hit an old woman with his car
Her father was a good man
So he gave the guy who hit his daughter a blessing
He touched his cheek and said "145"
Soon the guy was losing weight
In six months he was 145 pounds
He could eat anything he wanted to
He found the gypsy who gave him the blessing and helped out his family
With his millions he made it so the family had nice things and good food
They all shared many strawberry pies and lived happily ever after
The End

The Shining Retold

Jack had a wife and son who he loved very much
He got a job at the Overlook Hotel to maintain it from November thru April
He loved the hedge maze and learned how to escaped from it
He also always dressed for the weather as it got below zero quite often there
He was visited by mean and evil ghosts who wanted him to kill his family
He resisted temptation and invited d*ck over for some good home cooking
The evil spirits just gave up and went away
A good time was had by all
He still works this seasonal job to this day
The End

Needful Things

There is a movie called Needful Things
In it the devil comes to a small town of Castle Rock and set up a pawnshop
The items are extremely cheap
But you have to pull a mean prank on someone to fully pay for the item
A Mickey Mantle signed 1952 Topps basball card is worth 58,500 dollars
Brian Rusk paid only 90 cents and two pranks
Putting turkey crap on freshly laundered sheets drying on the clothesline
And throwing green apples through every window of the same house
The woman thought the woman at the diner did the prank, not Brian
Meanwhile, the woman who worked at the diner had her dog skinned
The guy who skinned the dog was paying for a letterman's jacket
Pranks being played on others to get people to hate each other
Hate each other enough to kill them
What would be our modern day needful things?
What price have we paid ?
Looking at our murders in this country, we have paid a huge price
The sad reality is there are Leeland Guants all over this country
Making money and making mahem for their own entertainment and profit
Time away from our friends, family, and rest
Time we will never get back

I have a friend who loves word search
I try to make at least one every week
The way I make them is I play the movie and pick out words in the dialogue
The last one I made was the movie Seven
As I am on my Halloween movie watching
That lasts from September 15 til October 31
I am going to Joker tonight
My favorite quote from the movie Seven is
"Ernest Hemingway once wrote, the world is a fine place and worth fighting for
I agree with the second part"
