A Precious Gift

As we approach Christmas

and exchange gifts with others

there is one gift that we do not need to purchase

Its not in bright wrapping and tied with a bow

but we will still find it below

all we need to do is take it into our hearts

It will not be judgmental, jealous or cold

So share it with all the young and old

The gift of Love is not new but vary old

sky dipped ocean

Blue sky beautiful transparent sun the wind blows through the life as the seagulls dance in the sky dipped ocean.the water as pure as rain.the kids swimming about and having fun.as the smell of fires come our way.then from day into night. Sleeping under beautiful stars kids counting sheep as parents sneak off into there own sky dipped ocean.then as the morning comes everyone stands in the shallow staring into the water so deep.its time to say goodbye to the sky dipped ocean.as tears fall and it starts to rain. Everyone runs till next year we had so much fun.

Snow Flakes Playing!

Snow Flakes Playing!

Snowflakes swirling merrily, happily in the snow filled air

Circling tiny dots of wonder covering up the undressed spots,

The drabness of Winter’s earthen bare

Whirling in a circle, landing not knowing where

Creating wondrous dance lands for the Fairy Queen

over which she doth realm

Her beautiful snow land, which she now calls home

Magic transformation for both you and I

Snowflakes falling happily, from the awesome snow filled sky

Dance with the snowman way unto the night

Imagine such a delightful fantasy land, such a happy sight

You with sparkling shinning icicled tiara

and he with his majestic simple broom

Such a handsome picture with you as an ice maiden snow Princess and he your snowman groom

Dance with the snowflakes before they go away

Flitter like a snowflake and have a wondrous day!

Santa's Present

He flew though the sky with his eight tiny reindeer
From the bells on his sleigh I knew he was near
He came down the chimney with a groan
Then I heard a woman say
"Honey, I'm Home!"
She stood 5 feet tall
She had a figure like that Victoria Secret chick I saw at the mall
She cooked me flapjacks with bacon and toast
Then for desert
Well, I don't like to boast
We lived happily ever after
My good wife and me
Thanks to a jolly old elf who lived up north on a frozen sea

Thinking of Mariah Carey's Christmas song "All I Want For Christmas Is You." This would be an awesome present from Santa.

Road Rage Xmas

'Twas the night before Xmas, the streets were a mess
with last-minute shoppers unleashing their stress.
The traffic was swarming like flies on a turd
with honking and yelling and flipping the bird.
Mamá in the cockpit, and I with a map,
had just turned around to get out of the crap,

When over a median, cellphone-distracted,
an urban assault wagon flew and compacted
a mini-van trying a left-handed U-ie:
The shopping bags flew as they both went Ka-blooey!

The corridor lights on the metal and snow
shone blue on the cuts of the victims below.
The cellphones were chiming, an ambulance called;
it couldn't get thru 'cause the traffic was stalled.
But lawyers there were, and in less than a flash,
arrangements were made to distribute the cash.

With similar accidents all over town,
the exits to parking lots all were shut down.
Employees and shoppers were trapped in the malls,
and Xmas arrived with them climbing the walls.
And we heard someone say, as we got out of range,
"How much of this stuff will they let us exchange?"

hooray for santa

Jesus lay upon a manger
At the age of zero taking gifts from a stranger
The holy miracle of a virgin birth
Forgive me for a chuckle of mirth
Kids all wait for a gift from Santa
Sponsored by Coca Cola and a glass of Fanta
Frost laden trees and a field of snow
Its the driving rain that makes my cheeks glow
I thank you heaven for the gifts of this birth –
A big roast dinner and a week off work.

PS
don't take this too seriously, it's just a laugh.

A New Day, A New Year 2012

A New Day,A New Year
A fresh page, bright and clean;
Fresh snow on the meadow,
Not a track to be seen.

A crisp new canvas on the easel
An untouched meadow, snowy white;
We pause to choose our palette,
To what tales our tracks may write.

So rest awhile
Reflect a bit;
Start the new year slow,
Lest rage and passion of bygone days
Stain crimson on the snow.

Choose the path that suits you best
Paint with colors that will last;
For the future lies unblemished,
By the errors of the past.

Reasons to Root for The Ravens

Reasons to Root for the Ravens

1. The are the only team that is based on a poem by Edgar Allen Poe

2. They are from Baltimore

3. They didn't beat the Packers and stop them from going to the
Super Bowl

4. They have a cool color: Purple

5. They beat the Patriots so we don't have to be bored to death with
another showing by a team I could care less about.

6. They only have one super bowl ring. The 49ers have five, so they
have enough.

7. The 49ers are based on a bunch of smelly prospectors who spent
most of their gold on prostitutes, gambling, and whiskey.

8. The 49ers are from San Franscisco, nuf said!

About this poem:
Just having some fun with the Super Bowl. My favorite is a tie between the Bears 1986 win and the Packers 2011 win. I still have the Super Bowl Shuffle record and my friend who works for the Packers still has the 2011 Superbowl ring with 92 diamonds.

Angst(Unbalance)

I saw you one night,
thought it was the real you,
it doesn't matter now
either way I'm still alone...

Then we touched palms,
each of us gave
a sensual map of our world,
clasping to the end of time...

The ensuing darkness,
you were the rabbit at the dog track,
elusive and deceptive
running around in circles...

Sleep only teases,
flame of unlit candle,
surreal dreams of love
became a matchstick dipped in water...

To survive, I said "I love you."
you said, "I love you too."
Perhaps just a culling song,
the deadliest of lullabies...

Separated by the hours of darkness,
the ceiling becomes the pale sky,
you milked the moonless night,
I became the crow fettered in rain...

Wordless and timeless the death of daylight,
thrown into an existence of love,
all with the ambiguity of Kirkegaard,
two saddled horses taken to a dry pond...

In this chapter of life and love,
you killed the romantic hero,
in the very first pages,
the destruction of I and thou...

There once was a love poem,
before the grass grew brown and withered,
the longing has not diminished,
just flowers and rainbows mixed with blackened storm clouds...
