hooray for santa

Jesus lay upon a manger
At the age of zero taking gifts from a stranger
The holy miracle of a virgin birth
Forgive me for a chuckle of mirth
Kids all wait for a gift from Santa
Sponsored by Coca Cola and a glass of Fanta
Frost laden trees and a field of snow
Its the driving rain that makes my cheeks glow
I thank you heaven for the gifts of this birth –
A big roast dinner and a week off work.

PS
don't take this too seriously, it's just a laugh.

Stuffed Like a Goose

This is the season to start fasting
Too many a meal of ‘swine and wine’
With all that glazed goose a’basting
Today with only a cup of veggie soup I dine
A few tall glasses of water for ballasting
Bring my scales back across the line
You know it's only me now I’m roasting
When I can’t see my toes when I recline
and I'm not boasting !!

Happy New Year

Where has the year gone
2011 will be over soon
oh lets remember it with a tune
Ill sit in my old blue chair
just thinking about
my life how it changed
in this passed year
as I watch the deer out
my frosty window
down my face runs
a lonly tear
as I partly smile
about the new coming year
oh lets remeber it with a tune
as I turn my radio on
and tap my foot
and twist my hair
thats all curly and blonde
yes Iam just thinking of
the passed year
how happy my family is
and God was so good
to us all
oh but soon it will be
spring and ,summer , and
again fall
other year will end again
as I say with a grin
Happy New Year to you
hurry,,,its almost through

New Year's Message

While the future
with all of its possibilities
is beyond our direct control
each moment
does its part
to set the stage.

'Tis my hope
as the new year unfolds
that each of you
continues to find your stage
a most welcoming place
full of wonderful possibilities.

Wishing you a
year of moments
to embrace
and enjoy
in celebration of life.
Happy New Year!

New year! New year!

New year new year, what will it bring? After the christmas cheer, we are all expecting! Would it be promotion, an increase in pay? I hope your resolution, does find its way. Hey, is it marriage, that's on your mind? For me an engagement, would be just fine. I've heard the resolution, to finally quit smoke! This and similiar notions, like kicking the dope! Some want political change, a new look ad ministation. Though it seems strange, it includes the vatican! Babies are big dreams, for many childless couples. Then the numerous teams, hoping to turn tables. Spiritually many want devotion; last year's plan failed. By making new resolutions, they will try again! This year would be: big, winnings in gamble! Some proclaim they "see"! referring to the lotto! Some will be laughing, all the way-to-the bank! Santa came gift giving; is you merchants thank!

HAPPY NEW YEAR
i'm sick of it to the teeth
isnt the ending of a year sad
or is that just me.

fireworks going off
people cheering in the street
behaving like crazed monkies
not a fine sight to be seen.

whats with everyone
have all gone daft in the head
BIG DEAL,another year begins
another one ends.

granted, at least we live to see it
whilst others have not
so i lift a glass in memory
to them, this year we lost.

well,im retiring to my warm room
iv no exciting plans on
but im happy enough to do that
watch a movie and munch on popcorn.

but aghhh my rooms been hijacked
by my adult kids & partners
so its back to me to my cold kitchen
it simply is not fair

but alas,as true as god is my witness
it will happen in 2012
they will all move out,but if not
then il do so myself.

now that iv had my wee rant
il not dampen the cheer
and if not later
then il see ye all next year.

Happy News Year!

Happy News Year!
More than just a
New Year

Better than the old year
Go to sleep
Old Year
Wake up
New Year

More in store
This New Year
Less tears than the
Old Year

Good News Year
Not bad news
That callender is
Out

2012 In!
The clock starts
Again
A Re-DO
A Yahoo!

Happy News Year
New Friends Year
New Love
This Year?

New Body
New Goals
New Try
At old dreams

Porch Light Burning- A Toast For 2012

When your mountain trail is long and daunting
And your spirit is feeling cold and wanting;
Like a far away flicker of firefly light,
Or Polaris, bright, in the high dark night.

There's a glow that seems to guide you homeward bound
And bids you welcome without sound;
It shines it's light for your safe return,
The porch light waits with patient burn.

When your steep trail tumbles to the valley floor
May you ride to the light at your front door.

Just some simple words...

Words are about as durable
As campfire smoke
Scattered by breezes
As quick as they're spoke.

Yet, when captured by the dewdrops
As cobwebs of rhyme
Some words turn to diamonds
Preserved for all time.

A New Day, A New Year 2012

A New Day,A New Year
A fresh page, bright and clean;
Fresh snow on the meadow,
Not a track to be seen.

A crisp new canvas on the easel
An untouched meadow, snowy white;
We pause to choose our palette,
To what tales our tracks may write.

So rest awhile
Reflect a bit;
Start the new year slow,
Lest rage and passion of bygone days
Stain crimson on the snow.

Choose the path that suits you best
Paint with colors that will last;
For the future lies unblemished,
By the errors of the past.
