I have my heart and it at has beat with a very sad song
For years I did struggle on this thing that’s so very wrong
My life can’t ever seem to be very complete
I have only sounds of no hope and harsh defeat

As I walk in the park
Surrounded by silence and just the dark
I look for her and hear no sound
A broken heart is all I found

For as I walk away from here
The things I’ve known are not so clear
I know that now Loves hard to find
Forever and always I will be blind

She gave me one last kiss goodbye
And as we parted I had to cry
For as the pain grew in my heart
I knew again there would be no start

So when I meet one anew
I am always Leary that it will too
End in a kiss that will show to me
The ending of love that can not be

Chest heaving
Aching emptiness
Hungry but unable to eat
The sob caught in your throat

I woke today and looked around
But as I walked I heard no sound
The one I thought was here to stay

As I looked around the house
and saw the memories of my spouse
and as I thought and wondered why
She left me now without goodbye

Again I walked throughout the house
I noticed a letter from my spouse
