Limerick Weekend #3

A pool boy at work in the shade
Was transfixed by a comely young maid.
She waltzed over to him
And she said with a grin.
You're just too hard at work I'm afraid.

Blue

Here I set brokenhearted newfound love to soon departed. Were she went to on that day she never did tell or say. I only know that she is gone so now I have to carry on. Life is not an easy game when you feel like you’re the one to blame. I really don’t know what I’ve done to make her leave me on the run. So here I set alone and blue not knowing what to say or do. But now I know just why she ran she left me for another man. I hope she’s happy and she’s bright cause now I finally see the light. She played me with a suckers game I’m just glade I’m not to blame. Of curse it still hurts but it’s all a part of rebuilding your life with a broken heart.

Season of a Cold Moon

"He has his Winter too of pale misfeature,
Or else he would forego his mortal nature."

- John Keats, The Human Seasons

The city vanishes
slowly in the rearview mirror
as my headlights splinter
frozen darkness
of this December back road.
Above frost-filled pines, stars hover
as winter claims the landscape.
Tires drone against asphalt
keeping time with the caroling radio
while my thoughts hang from the edge
of a cold moon darting above the treeline.

I think how my seasons are structured
with so many summers now tucked away,
neatly folded like blankets in a chest
only used to keep warm when needed;
how spring has become drives to the city
on alternating weekends
and autumn a deconstructed sunset
slipping somewhere behind the cloud
of a cold goodbye.

As I look ahead the snow is blinding,
ice gathers on every curve
winding through the night.
Tears freeze in this weather.

neglecting in love

they think being dumped is a failure
it's a must to reach ur love
falling in love is the main
how come it's happened not the head
for me it's not like that
i won't go out of my path
having a major crush on
dosn't mean she is mine
when i'm in love with her
won't want her to love me
once i had a thing for a gal
i behaved so unlike me now
i thought it's a big deal
and i've gotta get to jet
i went over to her and said
i can't live life without u
she responded me but i can
she ripped my heart out easily
and walked out from me with honor
at first i began to cry loudly
but than i asked myself why
why would i be crying for her
she even dosn't know how i feal
now i know ther is gotta be mutual feelings
and things will come to gather to be with ur love

Wonder..

Wander in to a feeling in the air
thats grim she sat me down to
confront our truths and banish
secrets we didnt share ,
We relaxed as our doubts were
shared with lots of tears n sorries
interrupted by laughter as the past
unravelled we knew we had to
part or end up sour ,
Woe's end with hugs exchanged
as she said take care also know
i did love you so i bend to pick
up my bags and walk out the door
with a new sense of wonder

When Love Dies...

When Love Dies
© Billy G.

When love dies,
It ceases to exist.
And the flame that used to be,
Ceases to persist

It feels like a wound that won’t stop bleeding,
Like it’s your last breath you're about to take,
And it feels like your soul’s watching,
And all you can do is pray you wake.

When love dies,
It’s like everything slows down to a stop!
The tears that came rolling down your cheeks
Are taking ages to drop.

To the cold tiled floor
I fell onto my knees,
It felt as if the light followed her shadow,
As she slammed closed the door…

Love died,
I know this because my soul died too.
And it was hurting as much
As all the pain I put her through.

When love died
I ceased to exist
The only thing that kept us together...
Ceased to persist!

Reason has no logic

Don't you love when a women ripes your heart out.
What goes through thier mind, we're they hurt in the past?
Maybe it was a gift, a future lead in doubt.
A destiny of nothing, a failure that would not last.

Who was more hurt, me or her.
Who is to blame, destiny, or fate.
Learning this lesson so many times, it hurts.
This feeling does not last, it accompanys a new wait.

Did I deserve this shameless experince.
Did I know it would come.
Reason has no logic, it would lead so to some.

I hate that I trusted you, it hurt so much.
May the circle of fate enlighten you, and eat you for lunch.

So What If I Lost You

So What .. If I lost you
I've lost you so many times , Before
I'm hurting myself by lovin' you
So Walk out of this door
I don't want your memories
Cuz I don't need to remember
All The pain , inside of me

So What .. If I never see you again
What if I walked through the rain
Everythin' looks beautiful
after you ..

So What .. If I changed my life
What if I don't have you
By my side ..
My heart will still be beatin' then
Lookin' for someone new ..

So .. What If I lost You ..
It doesn't Mean I've lost Love ..

To those who venture

Sad is the fate of rose that shed and lost its petals,
We contemplate a wilting of a life that’s passing by,
If only we could know where fate would take us,
Much more would be revealed to our mind’s eye.
If only we could see through heavy mist and haze,
We‘d easily imagine love as cruel and hurting.
We wouldn't fail foreseeing what's the end,
Should wisdom ever told us that we’re erring.
We would be cautious, thinking more than twice,
Had we an inkling of the agony we‘re about to bear,
That endless suffering would be in store for us,
Wise is a man who won't be tempted and bewares.
No matter how uneasy you should feel, just dare,
You’re face to face with love, succumb and bear.

To love alone

Love alone can feed the starving in the world
Love alone can change the bad to good
Love alone can heal the sick
Love alone can dry up the tears u shed

Love alone can & is what we all need
Love alone can & well do any thing
Love alone can make your hart grow
Love alone can & is the 8th wonder of the world

Love alone can be enough for living
Love alone can fill your world with flowers
Love alone can take away sadness
Love alone can keep two harts as one

But if you love alone you have nothing
If you love alone you don’t shear a hart
If you love alone you can’t go on living
So love is to give and shear together

Love love love that is what we need
Love has changed my world
Love will change your world
But Love alone is nothing with out you

So give love and you will get loved in return
