Winter’s Love

Winter was long gone, but like all the seasons
It would return
Bringing the cold of a long lost frozen heart
But you was spring to me
So fresh, so warm
And with that hope of a new beginning
I saw you blossom, with love
That only pure passion
Could ever wish to reach
And the summer passed us on by
Languidly lazy, but lingering on
In forlorn hope that spring was not lost
But it would pass
As the browns and glorious colours
Of autumn that consumed all, reminded us
That life was so far short
Of the perfection of seasons
I wish to melt with you
From one season to another
As they would blend into each other
But winter seems to me to endure
Far beyond my imagination
But true love is eternal
Like the seasons
Oh! But how I long
That spring would return to me
And the cold of winter
Would forever
Be frozen in the past

One Night

Love Can't be the same
Without morals
Love aint only a feelin' ..
It's something we can't touch
But it is somethin' we believe in ..
" Tomorrow " you said
Tomorrow we'll talk about it !!
Boy , I got no time to waste
I gotta release you & me

It's the final Goodbye
We're standing face to face
I can't look at your eyes
I might lose my faith
Don't touch my hand
Cuz I'll never understand
Why would one night with her
Destroy everything we had
She means nothing to you
But what You did ..
Means everything to me

If Only

~If Only ~

I can't help but wonder what your thinking,

would love to see what your eyes have in view,

how you feel and what makes you blue.

On the drop of a dime ,

I'd walk into your arms,

and feel at a glance what you needed.

Oh sure there are others who have,

could have and should have,

but I'd be the one who'd never demise you.

A few stolen moments would never be enough,

you'd linger and leave me to crave

what I can only dream of having.

I'll never forget your importance,

or the magical way you make me feel.

But you'll never be more then lust in the dark,

and I am far more then a walk in the park.

Time

It was for a moment;
A very brief moment,
That I closed my eyes;
No longer then seconds passed;
Before I allowed light to
Invade and destroy
My serenity.
Seconds, that's all it took. Seconds to know that
The eternity I hoped to spend with you,
Was as brief as the time as my
Eyes were shut.

I know my failure,
And I know my regret;
For that brief moment,
As I sought serenity,
Though only seconds passed,
In my time,
A millennium passed in yours.
A millennium to cast doubts
About my friendship.

Fragments

Caressing your hand below the knuckles
A kiss to your forehead oh so insanely tender
Flirting with so many laughs and chuckles
Mixed feelings as if combined in a blender

Talking so sincerely when waiting for pizza
You walked beside me oh so intently spritely
A rose to make you happy when I greet ya
Talking to you oh so candid and politely

A better man whenever I was near you
Your natural sweetness never seemed to wane
A feeling I had and I knew you had it too
Poignant moments we shall never have again

I looked at you with that wonderful smile
So happy and natural to exude such true joy
You looked into my eyes for such a long while
You made me feel like a young love struck boy

If love makes one smitten then surely I was
If happiness makes one most beautiful you were
I fell for you so hard...why...you know because
Both our spirits and hearts began to yearn and stir

A bottle of wine and memories of laughing
Stories told to display ones character and soul
Caresses, kisses, hesitant words but refreshing
Only fragments now that exact their cruel toll

dad

coldness like ice
termination
kissed the warm side
and said goodbye
it was sensless
usless,Godless

it was so far away
i could not say much
just we are goinng to kerry
a place where i grew up thanks dad
anyway going to kerry
nothing bad i thought

cold october breeze
looking out of car window
fireworks from kids
celebrating halloween

we got there couldn't believev
how my neices and nephews had grown up
went into a and e and expected dad to greet me
he hated hospitals too.

my three sisters were there holding me against wall
'dada's dead elaine now holld it togeather'
i fainted and then asked to see him
the smell of anticeptic

he looked ok on the end row
thats whn i kissed him
a waste

awonderful man stripped from life for no reason
he had a tube up his nose that was it
my mother sweared he came to her in the hospital and told her he was more than well

dad i write this poem cos they took u to dublin
and you were sleeping i even put your baseball cap in the coffin
i couldn't go to the funeral.two years later still numb.

Why

Why is it that he can leave me. abandon me. tell me that I suck or the lack there of? Hurt me for no reason. Take off with her. She's not as pretty or nice as me. I did everything for him. Made our house a home. For what? To find out that 19 years later he never loved me anyway like I am garbage. All those memories of us. Pictures to bury deep in my heart. Where they wil never reserface. Gone. So he can do that but if I were to say hello, Then I am trash? Why. Why was I not good enough for him? I need ananswer and so do my kids. They are asking mister you better answer.

My Lover Fists

Blacken eyes told the truth to my story.
I couldn't lie today because the brusies was out of my control.
I bearly could stand because I'm hunched over from the pain.
And its funny because today it had to rain.
It never failed the loud thunder storm shelter my screams.
I shouldn't be afraid of what I've have gotten used to.
But everyday I pray for hope for something new.
He used to love me.
But now all he do is drink.
His stress becomes my torture.
I'm his fighting rank.
I'm his punching bag.
And again I'm holding a warm rag.
I kno this isn't love, I know I have to leave before he take me out.
But I'm afraid to leave him.
I'm not ready for the fight.
Battling him trying to kill me because he believe his love was true.
My Lover Fists was the death of me.
I tried to leave and that was my final breath I knew.
His rage was powerful then ever or my body was to tired of healing.
I couldn't stop my head from pounding so I told myself to go to sleep.
My Lover Fists was the caused of this.
I wished I could have left scott free.
And now I know I am truely missed.

In the cloisters of my soul

In the cloisters of my soul the wound
lies quiet; but hungrily it consumes
the life that in my veins feeds
a flame that extends through my marrow.

My dropsied life drinks the fire
as now, emaciated and loving ash,
the remains of the lovely fire, it displays
its extinguished light in smoke and darkness.

I flee people and am horrified by the day;
I extend in long cries my black weeping,
which to a silent sea my burning pain sends.

To cries I gave the voice of song;
confusion floods my soul;
my heart is a realm of terror.
