ducks plea

theres a fly in the oinkment
someone ate pork chops
the duck is in a plucking bad mood
threats of assassination shooting him
leave me alone you vile monsters
talk of making curry of his dead remains
scrambling the eggs and allsorts
please anyone with a heart shelter me
i am an old duck
going grey in the feathers
this all gives me such bad blood at my age
we live in such a hostile world
i have such a good family
they protected me for years
in the sanctury of beautiful hills
always had peace and quiet
demonic snuff videos sent to duck
i just wish they could see my little heart
i have always been a good duck
i wouldnt hurt anyone
my little eyes cry tears of fear
my life is being threatened
as i wipe the tears with my wings
now they are stuck to my sides with so much fear
if only i could stretch my wings in happiness
like in my sheltered years my wings always open for a hug
why do you want me to have such a cruel end
like the pig pork chops
beware of the wolf in sheeps clothing
my dad taught me this he always made me feel 3 foot high
hiding in the corn probing a non smoking serial killer
i had such beautiful adventures
planning them in my mind, now distorted with threats
you opened a big can of worms threatning my life
sending snuff videos of duck killers
help me find the killers

Lords of the Prairies - A Tribute To The Bison

Dressed in my shaggy brown coat
I stand almost six feet
at my shoulders
and weigh almost a ton
I once roamed the prairies
in herds of millions
grazing on its grass
which fed and nourished
my brethren and I
for tens of thousands of years

Running at speeds of
over thirtyfive miles per hour
across the prairie
in herds that stretched
as far as the eye could see
our hooves created
a thunderous sound
that shook the earth
causing it to tremble
like an earthquake

We were slaughtered
in our millions
They left our dead bodies
to rot and decay
where we fell
Sometimes they took away our coats
other times they cut out
our tongues only
and left the rest
of our dead bodies
to putrefy and decay
on the prairie grasslands
that we had trod proudly on
for thousands of years

This is my epitaph
for I just saw the glint
of the sunlight
on the long mysterious stick
and heard its thunder
and felt something
go deep into my insides
as I fall to the ground
I shall go the way
of my proud ancestors
who once roamed
these lands in freedom as
Lords Of The Prairies

About this poem:
The arrival of vast waves of white settlers in the 1800s, and their conflict with the Native American residents of the prairies, spelled the end for the buffalo.
There were even buffalo killing contests. In one, a Kansan set a record by killing 120 bison in just 40 minutes. “Buffalo” Bill Cody, hired to slaughter the animals, killed more than 4,000 buffalo in just two years.
Some U.S. government officials even promoted the destruction of the bison herds as a way to defeat their Native American enemies, who were resisting the takeover of their lands by white settlers. One Congressman, James Throckmorton of Texas, believed that “it would be a great step forward in the civilization of the Indians and the preservation of peace on the border if there was not a buffalo in existence.” Soon, military commanders were ordering their troops to kill buffalo — not for food, but to deny Native Americans their own source of food. One general believed that buffalo hunters “did more to defeat the Indian nations in a few years than soldiers did in 50.” By 1880, the slaughter was almost over. Where millions of buffalo once roamed, only a few thousand animals remained.

NO ONE....(Perfection in imperfection)

No one can feel for you, the way you feel for them
No one tries to please, like you try to please 'em
No one can be the person you want them to be
No one can be perfect cos they don't want to be
That's why i love God and He love's me !

No hour, is too late an hour for Him
No day is the wrong day to call to Him
No problem is too big, or too small
No prayer goes unheard, how small it may be
That's why i love God and He love's me !

I LOVE YOU MORE THAN LIFE

JASMINE; YOU BROUGHT ME, SO MUCH JOY AND LOVE! WHY WERE YOU TAKEN, BY THE RULERS ABOVE? IT WILL ALWAYS BE, JUST YOU, AND ME! NO MATTER HOW FAMOUS, I BECOME; IT WILL ALWAYS BE YOUR FACE; I LONG TO SEE! THE YEARS WILL GO BY; BUT WHEN I THINK OF YOU; I'LL STILL CRY! IT WILL ALWAYS BE; JUST YOU AND ME; AND I WILL FOREVER, PRAISE, YOUR NAME; FOR ALL, THE WORLD; TO SEE!

KITTY HEAVEN

I'M DROWNING, IN MY OWN SORROW; I'M NOT SURE; THEY'LL BE TOMORROW; THE LOVE OF MY LIFE; MY JASMINE; HAS GONE TO KITTY HEAVEN! AS SHE LAY, DYING, SHE SAID; DADDY; YOU MADE ME, SO VERY HAPPY; I COULD NEVER WISH FOR A BETTER PAPPY; I'LL ALWAYS LOVE YOU; BUT RIGHT NOW, I'M OFF TO KITTY HEAVEN! FOR FOURTEEN YEARS, WE HAD NO FEARS; OUR BOND CAN NEVER BE BROKEN; I ALWAYS FEARED, THE DAY WOULD COME; WHEN I WOULD LOSE, MY ONLY ONE! I WAVED GOODBYE, AS SHE ASCENDED, TO THE SKY, TO RESUME HER LIFE, WITHOUT ME; IN KITTY HEAVEN! I PRAY TO THE LORD, EVERYDAY; THAT I'LL BE ALLOWED TO ENTER AND STAY; WITH MY DARLING JASMINE, IN OUR NEW HOME, KNOWN AS; KITTY HEAVEN!

Red and Feisty

I had a rooster , so grand
a fine tail of colourful feathers
a bright red comb on his head
how that bird could strut

To see him you'd think
no you would know
the king of the barn
for sure he was

He'd dig up some worms
then call his girls
they'd come a-running
to share in the treat

o h boy, could he crow
his voice ringing out
from dawn to dusk
letting every one know

What time of day
his chicks so cute
they followed his lead
what a din made my ears ring

He ruled his roost
chased off his foes
until sadly one day
he passed away

Now his sons
take his place
on the barn fence
and life carries on

Odontoceti (Lady Morgana's Challenge)

Hiding low my deep voice in depth of sound
More vocal my watery world than yours
Many miles in distance my presence found
Yet not far from the glimmering Azores

Large at birth swimming a winnowing sea
Transiting as I do from pole to pole
Roams vast a spirit for remaining free
Carefree I go shimmering shoal to shoal

Alive with such hope for life eternal
So much older now and so much wiser
Fills a legend from a sailor's journal
My famous name now flows like a geyser

Relate to Jonah tales of Isreal
Be watchful for spirit of Ishmael

Instinct

What is it makes your old yard dog
Bay all night at the moon,
In chorus with the wild coyote's
Archaic clannish tune?

By daylight he's content enough
To lay around and nap,
Domesticated by his look
A ward of table scrap.

But nightfall wakens something deep
Where mind and soul convene.
Some age-old longing locked awat
Embedded in his genes.

The same thing makes a fella
Who is both steadfast and sane,
Jerk down a rope and join the chase
With slack pitched in his rein.

His slight regard for consequence
Attests to what's inside.
A banner unfurled honestly,
Impossible to hide.

Some know it on the ocean's waves.
Some dig it out of mines.
It finds us on the city streets
Or high up in the pines.

It's played out in the stadiums
For all the multitude,
Or realized in the cedar breaks
In perfect solitude.

That we fool others and ourselves
It matters not at all.
We're ruled by what's inside us
When we hear the coyote call.

JENNY

I HAVE THE LOVE OF, SO MANY CATS THAT I'VE SAVED, AND THE RESIDENTS OF MY LAST JOB, TRUELY RAVED! MOST OF THEM, LOVED CATS, AND ENCOURAGED ME, TO STAND TALL! LITTLE DID I KNOW; I WAS IN FOR A GREAT FALL! JENNY; YOU WERE THE ONLY BRIGHT LIGHT! I STILL FEED THE CATS, BUT YOU ARE NOWHERE IN SIGHT! COME TO ME JENNY, WHEN YOU HEAR MY VOICE; TOGETHER, WE WILL SHOW THE TYRANTS, IN THE FRONT OFFICE, THAT FOR THIS CONDO; CATS ARE THE ANIMALS, OF CHOICE!
