SHE"S BETHY; SHE"S BETHY BOO; ALTHOUGH SHE"S TAILESS; SHE"LL WAG FOR YOU! SHE"S FRESH AS THE MORNING DEW; I LOVE MY BETHY; AND YOU WILL TOO! SHE"S ALL BLACK, WITH SUCH A SMILE; TO CATCH A GLIMPSE OF HER; YOU"LL WALK A MILE! I"VE BEEN DOWN AND ALMOST OUT; BUT WHEN I THINK OF HER; I GAIN SUCH CLOUT! I"M SURE WE WILL MEET AGAIN; AND LIFE WITH BETHY; WILL NEVER END!

I look into my horse's eyes -
A deep pool there that holds no lies;
An honest glance without conceit
As he stands tall on all four feet.
From your liquid lambent eyes
Your equine soul now me espies
And I could never do you wrong -
I can only praise you in this song.
You'll take quick flight - if alarmed -
Speed animates your vital form;
Though when your still as a calm lake -
In mutual trust we both partake.
Rebel my beautiful standard bred
Your chestnut all from tail to head
On the trot track you once did race
And with stamina could quick miles pace.
You were still strong years after racing
Though now you trot instead of pacing
Adapting as a saddle horse
You did train on - no need for force.
You quietly did as you were bidden
First in the gig, and then when ridden
You learnt to trot and canter freely -
And then to jump most gracefully.
In your strong body not one bad bone
At Richmond Farm you found a home -
To there live out your life complete
To my sweet horse Rebel - Rest In Peace.

It was a hot and dusty day
the crowd fidgets as it waits
bull dripping sweat in shute bay.
howdy folks the announcers say
Raging Tornado in shute awaits
it was a hot and dusty day.
Saddle slipping this and that way
only held in place by weights
bull dripping sweat in shute bay.
R.T. chews on his cud of hay
pawing the ground in anger waits
it was a hot and dusty day.
Flies out of shute now comes what may
saddle slips man evacuates
bull dripping sweat in shute bay.
Riders distract bull hold at bay
while man slides out and valuates
It was a hot and dusty day
bull dripping sweat in shute bay.

I am a little snail
who is learning how to dance
but I fear it's not going well
as I try to leap and prance
The teacher keeps instructing me
to do the things I can't
my problem is when dancing
I'm about as nimble as a plant
She is forever telling me
to go quick, quick, quick, slow
but how to do the first three
I simply do not know
So I think I'll be a wallflower
and lean against the wall
for dancing is just not my thing
I'm just no good at all

I will fix my gaze upon you
To learn your secrets Mountain- Sun Face
In the glory of the morning
In the beauty of blue and green
Among the glistening orbs of silver
In the silence of your rising
In the stillness of your Golden dawn
The wind shall wake the Oak
The leaves shall whisper gently
Of Iris' sweet descending
The bough of heavens gate
To recite the oracles of wisdom
And dance among the gentle race
With a heart full of treasure
As I learn your knowledge
My fields shall be full and ripe
As I consider your ways
I shall harvest the Joy of the morning
When you cause your face to shine on me
I shall no longer eat the weeds of spoil
I shall glory in your mighty rays
The banner of your steadfast arms
Teach me your ways Mountain Sun Face

My dog gets down dirty
Licks up his bowl nice and clean
Gives me his little growl
Acting like he is big and mean
Tries to show me whose the boss
When he wants to get his way
I say yea alright
Now listen to what I have to say
I am the one who feeds you
Tucks you in bed at night
As if that little growl of yours
Will send me into a fright
You are only half a foot tall
Looking like a ball of fluff
Do what you have to do
But for god sake don't act so tuff

Each morning near to daylight
There you go singing with all your might
With joy your melodies continue to swell
It's a bright and happy day you want to tell
Such volume coming from so small a breast
Perfectly you each note and pitch recall
The nigh is past darkness is disappearing you tell
The day is here and all is well
The pigeons and doves their volumes not so high
Adding their cooing joining in with melodies so bright
While among the blossoms the bees keep a constant hum
And other birds in the trees they sing along
