Dream Ship

I dream my ship
lands on the lawn
A door slides open
I step inside
Sit in the pilot chair
Cap and helm in place
In computer interface
Take me to my beloved
Manipulate time
To be there for tea

So ever again in fancy free
Beyond time and space
United once more
But nary a wit of memory
Yet who can know
I hear my soul aver
It could be so

Last poem challenge

I sat in my wheelchair and rolled across my
den to the high standing bookshelf..
Scattered throughout the shelf were dozens
of verses written quickly on scraps of paper
and used as bookmarks
I began fishing out all the snippets of verses
I'd planned to use in what was now to be my
last written work
For some thirty years I'd saved any flash insights
and bursts of inspiration I could use in my final
masterpiece
The doctor said he didn't expect me to live
throughout the week so I worked late into the
night
The old grandfather clock ticked away the final
hours of my life as my final poem began to take
definite shape
It was almost sunrise when suddenly I heard a
noise in the backroom
The sound of shattered glass sent me rolling to
my closet for my shotgun
But before I could load the gun I turned to see
a masked man pointing a revolver at my head
I clutched an excerpt of my poem in my right
hand and the last thing I remember is the shot
ringing out and my falling to the floor
Barely conscious the voices of policemen filled
the room
A policeman stooped down and pulled from my
hand the fragment of paper I was clutching
He read what was to be the title of my poem, 'A
good day to cry..'
But then I heard another voice calling my name..
It was the voice of my house maid
She kept saying, ' Everything is going to be alright
sir, you were not shot, you were just having a bad
dream
I awoke and realized I had merely fallen asleep after
a long night of writing
But the maid pulled a pistol from her purse and
with a devilish grin said, ' I've been waiting for
you to finish your poem because I have plans
to sell your work to my own publisher..
She pulled the trigger and shot me dead..
When she published my poem under her name
she merely changed the title which was now
called.. ' A Good Day to Die..'

My Last Poem "The Mr Cafe Challenge"

Embedded image from another site

It was only yesterday that incident became an epidemic
I knew shit would hit the fan from all the movies I have rented
When I heard the news I began to collect my family near
And I put them in the attic hidden above my chandelier
Then I removed a portrait of the president hanging from my wall
Where I store enough guns and ammunitions to start a small war
If you knew what my fellow soldiers on domestic lands were training for
Then you would buy beans, bullets, and bandaids every time you hit the store
But theres nothing small about the chaos outside my front door
At first I heard the screaming then it was followed by their moans
And like a herd of turtles stamping through peanut butter they gave chase
Im baffled how these nimrods served themselves up on cold plates
People tend to be very clumsy when they panic its a trip
Dropping keys and falling down like some cheesy horror flick
So like the hare beaten by the tortoise Mr Johnson came in last
He beats his dog when he gets drunk I hope they bite him in his a**
What did I tell you? Mr d*ck Johnson just led them right up to my porch
So I shot him in the leg and I threw the dead a fork
When in a frenzy with my guns a'blazing they were dropping one by one
Then two by threes and threes by fours killing zombies became fun
I was even slashing them and stabbing them as I punched one in the lip
Lost in all of my excitement I failed to see a tooth lodged in my fist
I began to think about my family and all thats yet to come
And almost instantly I felt infection contaminate my blood
So I wrote them my final poem to further express my love
But I kept it short and simple leaving little time for hugs
I first explained that Ive been bitten, but isn't the place to show them fear
Its the time to come together and outlive the undead years
And that I will fight with them as long as I can until the end
But when its time to go I want to be remembered as a man
So a unit we cleared the perimeter and kicked the zombies a**
I handed my poem to my mother and placed a gun inside my fathers hand
Its time to go so lift the barrel to my head and please don't hesitate
I said goodbye and that I love them, I closed my eyes and then a
...BANG !

…."To my loving family please forgive me that I kept you all at bay
I had so many wrinkles to iron out before I could see your face and stand up strait
So fight with bravery and common sense and don't die foolishly like me
And let your bonds become the freedom that brings you joy and peace
Today the world may have changed, but don't let it change the perfect person that you are
And even though Im gone always know Im never far
I should of said this sooner instead of waiting for a zombie apocalypse
But remember all the good times and let the laughter guide your steps"

...Destination unknown......

I look to the sea

and see ships coming in.

Been coming here and sitting on the shore.

Wishing and thinking when can I go.

But what will I do.

Oh be so nice the change.

But my luggage its so heavy.

I best leave it as its not going to be

much use to me there.

The journey owe its so good to breathe in the salt air.

Be so nice with each breathe my pains to disappear.

I escaped your advice and sank into fear.

This was all a illusion.

I have disappeared in to despair

and the ship has long departed.

What will ever become is all in my court.

Who dares wins.

LADYCOUNTESSA

Floating The Estuary

Entering the therapists’ room I experienced

brief and glimpse encounters

through an aquatic of grappling hands and minds.

Yet all who proclaimed to be healers were stealers.

Among them was the highly acclaimed clairvoyant

trying to penetrate my mind.

She became overwhelmed and frustrated

finding no gateway,

abandoning me, as hopeless, mindless and useless

thrusting me towards you

the new boy

in training

untried, untested

and little thought of

too insignificant for their grandeur.

You knew that I was being cast off

furthermore thrown into your direction

as unwanted, un-repairable

too broken to restore

opinions of the soothsayer

oracles of false prediction.

The teeming room of therapist

glanced on with pity

as they exchanged fistfuls of their clients wealth

“She is covered in blood!

who can go near her” they feared

“You have her” the mystics insisted.

You held me in your arms

Then gently seating me down upon the rug

You handed me a colourless bolster bean-filled pillow.

I pressed the pillow close to my chest

hugging it like my own teddy.

You drew in close to me,

asking me to choose a colour for the pillow.

“Vivid light green, a turquoise sea” I responded

“I knew you would choose that shade” you joyfully affirmed.

Simultaneously I was on board your boat

Buoyantly floating the aquamarine estuary

You held my shoulders, gently rocking me

The boat swayed back and forth

as your healing love journeyed

exploring my complexity

through your sweet unguent scented palms.

Embracing one of your hands

descending it down my torso,

nestling it precariously on the inner part of my thigh

I enticed you into the boat with me.

While the elements gently rocked us

Your hand soothingly and sensually

fondled me into a sleepy lull.

With my back inclined into your chest

along with your arms around me I melted

into your caresses.

Nuzzling your head

into the curve of my neck and shoulder

we drifted on the calm swaying waters.

We no longer were two separate entities

however had become as one,

encircling the cool flame

of infinite love and peace

flickering through our quintessence

as the healing flame entwined each receptor

infusing the subtle energies

gracefully flowing like liquid gold

exploring our veins and vessels

entwining us like a woven blanket,

a tapestry of bliss.

Subsequently

we were curtly interrupted

from our dreamy boat

of tranquillity,

by prodding therapist

with scornful expressions

“Totally unethical” we heard them murmur with many “tuts”

Yet nothing bothered us...

Nonetheless we remained serene

plus undisturbed within,

there were no disturbances

within the waters of our existence.

You encircled me intimately

wrapping your arms around me firmly.

Your sensual sexuality surged

as you pressed in closely

upwelling through my spine.

Whilst both inhaling

in perfect synchronisation

the presence of the living God

filled our hearts.

When we exhaled together

all the brokenness

plus all the pain dispensed.

With each breath we shared

deeper healing occurred.

Trust and bonding grew between us

like two innocent children.

Peace and understanding was ours

to be claimed.

Fear dissipated into the sea

as Christine held us safely in her bowels

**Behind Blue Eyes

Through the time we spent as stoic figures,
Resting on cement legs that restricted motion,
And emotion a play of figures dancing in circles
With shadows joining the dance,
Monotony,
Her fragile frailty,
Outstretched arms to mobility,
I am her golden coin among the silver,
Yet dull with wear and time,
A dream last night that led me to believe
I should hide,
Behind your blue eyes,
The doors that wasted life,
Behind your blue eyes,
The strife of epic stories and conversations,
I am tangled in this pattern,
Just the momentary bliss,
A kiss that leads you to distant deserts
Where we haunt ourselves with thirst,
I am this patient hold on the edge of your mind,
Keeping you from torture,
In teeth that will not resist,
I am bruised,
I am broken,
I am the last you ever kissed

In My Dreams

In my dreams.
Keep you in my dreams.
In my dreams.
Keep you in my dreams.

Last night I laid down,
I saw visions of you.
Before I closed my eyes,
Your sight, your smell,
I knew it was you.
There you were standing,
A vision to behold.
Tears ran down my face,
I cried, you cried,
Scenes started to fold.

In my dreams.
Keep you in my dreams.
In my dreams.
Keep you in my dreams.

I woke up knowing,
That never were you real.
My heart sunk in my chest,
I tried, you lied,
How was I to feel?
I knew I must go on,
Can`t live in fantasy.
I knew I would miss you,
Your taste, your touch,
Would shape reality.

In my dreams...I feel I know you.

Your face, your touch,
I must, keep you in my dreams.
Your smile, too much,
But I need you, in my dreams.

In the darkest corners of my heart,
I need you, to be real.
I can`t forever live in the dark,
If it`s me that you really feel.
Surely, if you can feel me,
Then I must exist.
Even if you can`t see,
Look at how you try to resist.

In my dreams.---------Your face, your touch,
Keep you in my dreams-I must keep you in my dreams
In my dreams.---------Your smile, too much,
Keep you in my dreams-But I need you in my dreams.

WIND OF DAY

OH HOW THE DAY GOES BY
LIKE WIND THROUGH THE SUMMER SKY
NEARING 30 YRS OF AGE
THE END OF A CHAPTER
THE BEGINNING OF A PAGE
OH HOW THE DAYS GO BY
LIKE A MOONLIT NIGHT ABOVE STREETLIGHTS
WILL THE DAYS FOREVER LAST
FIND THE ONE WITH THE HOUR GLASS
WHAT IS A POEM. WHO DOES KNOW?
I THINK IT TIME FOR ME TO GO

Reality Virtually

The whirring of the fan drew him from the hall.
He once again was drawn to the cyber call of his computer.
Like a frenzied hunter hearing a twig break in the forest,
He hastened to unlock the virtual world
which was just around the corner.
He knew he could master the challenge be it game or search or query.
He knew this sport kept his mind sharp and practiced and yet it did
Draw him from the elements that were firm
and solid with mass and molecule.
Several hours later he smiled with reckless
abandon as he sent his last and wittiest email.
He had come, seen and conquered. Veni, vidi, vinci.
He had yet again taken on that
Black rectangular monster and mastered it once more.
His thoughts were sharp, his reactions sharper.
His weapons has performed flawlessly. His anti-virus had
kept him safe throughout this battle.
He reveled in his intellect and scurrilous Courage.
The vanquished software knelt before him in humble servitude.
The trumpets sounded and he put the device to his ear.
“A loaf of bread and a dozen eggs?” “No problem....right away dear!”
