On the Issues

When you are running for president
You have to let people know where you stand on the issues
I am against abortion and the death penalty too
Let's have free health care for me and you
Increase funding for space travel and go to Mars
Let's have cheaper and more electric cars
Get rid of the fed and income tax too
Make all drugs as legal as the stuff that come from the animal that says "MOO"
Minimum wage should be 15 dollars an hour
Reduce taxes to give the people back the power
No gun control
Unless you can shoot and put a bullet through the same hole
No more free troops sent to other nations
Protect your own countries and reduce our war machine inflation
No more handouts to illegal immigration
Send them back to their own nation
Social Security needs to be taken away
If you want to live forever, save up to pay your own way

About this poem:
I looked at Ron Paul and his stance on some of these issues as he is one of my favorites through the years who ran for president. Ross Perot, Jill Stein, Gary Johnson, and Ralph Nader were some good ones too.

Memory

It pains me to know our hands are now only a memory for my soul

I m a dove

The dove is a dove, and always a dove.
The dear only knows, what will next prove a dove.
You, of course, are a dove but were always a dove.

Anna loves her Jesus

She walks on air
eyes without despair
in her smile i know
there her heart goes

She's full of light
a shining delight
within her
lives the words...

Of her Jesus
Christ stuck in delusion
i know not love...
like she does

Oh Anna
loves her Jesus
Oh Anna
loves her Jesus!

She flew up north
Fell in love of course
Married another man
What was God thinking?!

About this poem:
Another one of my unfinished songs re a born again Christian I knew in college.

THE PRAYER: I found myself hiding in my dorm room in Pentagon Dorm. After seven years trying to fix myself since high school and running from people out of fear. I thought OMG I'm never ever going to be better! How can i endure this? Will i be living with social phobia when im 60!! Even at this point no prayer was said yet not until i thought OMG being at college is supposed to be the happiest time of my life. I THEN CRACKED! It was the straw that broke the camel’s back. Spontaneously i sent out a pure heartfelt honest sincere desperate cry for help. I TRIED I CAN'T DO IT BY MYSELF, LORD I NEED HELP. I wish i had journaled what happened in that moment bc i don't remember exactly, which is a bummer, but the next day seemingly out of the blue i decided to thank God for anything positive that might happen during the day even if it was just smile from someone. the cool thing was i actually felt gratitude as positive things began to pile up. I figure on some level i must of turned it over to God. Since He is now running the show or why would i the next day be thanking him for any positive experiences. Why didnt i do it yesterday or a week before. What im saying is something happened out of that prayer either I dont remember or something below my consciousness. This next thing is hard to communicate but I deducted if i did remember what happened in that instance after THE PRAYER i would be propelled back into that sacred holy space.(which is rare for me and out of my control). Just a theory I would be reliving it not just remembering it. Anyway in a month i was completely transformed and having a blast! During this time i felt a strong desire to make up for lost time. And not fall victim to that Mr Grinch part of me that was so afraid of what people might think that kept me not being me and living afraid in a cage called: What will people think! If there was a devil this would be the perfect way to sabotage someone from preventing them from living out their potential! Now though after my transformation which included waking up each morning jumping out of bed cant wait to start the day and go out into the world and be with people. Also l also had a strong need to let people know that they had inherent greatness within them. That they are not seeing their potential. Just like me before the prayer. Interesting tho this thing l was going thru was similar to what l read many years later about what Joseph Campbell talked about re all the hero's journey stories in mythology. After the hero goes thru his trails and is transformed by them he would have the option to go back into the world to help people achieve what he had achieved. l ended up doing outrageous things(a part of me wanted to make up for lost opportunities)BTW it was at this time i started Anna’s Song. Years later looking back I realized it was the happiest time of my life!

Two seeds

Two seeds,
whisper on air.
By chance,
settling near.

Two seeds,
water and ground.
They spire,
destiny bound.

Two seeds,
flowers and colours
Entwine,
natures lovers.

Two flowers,
bonding together.
Invinceble,
like life forever.

Two flowers,
caress and catch.
Endless,
a perfect match

Two flowers,
winter of wrong.
Withering,
the seeds are gone.

Silent Shadows

silent shadows running thru the fields
as Silence molds the clouds all day

silent moonlight bouncing through the trees
as Silence skips across the lake

silent snow flake falling like a ghost
as Silence swings low thru the gate

and silent stones gather no thoughts
as Silence gives my heart away

Oh Lord,
when my heart
is with you
its shield breaks,
oh how it breaks
in the most tender
silent ways.

Sunny(1/6)

Sunny was the disposition.
Warmth and glow fill hearts’ conditioned,
To welcome change from harshest pangs,
Chilled wispy embers of charred remains.
Were we so smitten all’s forgiven?
No one twice shy they’re never bitten.
As Summer greens turn greys of Autumn,
The swift forgotten race to bottom.
See now a drunken wayward mass,
Emboldened by a traitor masked.
Imaginings of crimes unjust,
Have birthed the biggest lie that was,
And dulled the senses quickened breath,
Emotional the sick and deaf.
Determined folk must prove the right,
When hangs in balance truth and light.
What losing men may claim to have,
Let rays from sun make plain the path.

THE SECOND THOUGHT

What is more boring than dying?
It’s a terrible waste of time:
lying there twiddling my eyebrows
or dreaming up words that might rhyme.

Why don’t I chant a ‘te deum’
or swear repenting remorse
or scream for succour or sanctum
or plead for a stay of sentence?

Perhaps the postman’s at the door
or my dead wife came back again
or once more it’s the brink of war
or women have turned into men.

It’s a BORE. I don’t even care
if I’ve seen my very last dawn!
WAIT: a decisive idea !!!
I'll get up and yawn my head off!

The Clouds

All alone and on your own,
Quest for love with a heart of stone,
Of all you've learned,
Still, what do you know?
The days glittering shades of light,
(quietly) oh, so warm--

And now we're here,
Dig, the clouds cloud our minds,
Too young for the love,
Too old for the lies--

You've climbed mountains and swam seas,
You've found peace through warfare,
Survived death, now live in prosperity,
What more could this life ask of me?
Ride hard and die free,
Ha, love is all you need--

And now we're here,
Dig, the clouds wondering by,
Too young to smile,
Too old to cry--

Perhaps now, everything is taking form,
Always the calmest before the storm,
You know too much,
Still, what do you know?
The days glittering shades of dark,
(quietly) oh, so cold--

And now we're here,
Dig, the clouds shatter and break,
Too young to give,
Too old to take--

About this poem:
I wrote this one 12-28-2021. I wrote and rewrote this in a few different ways just because I liked the stanza part (And now we're here, Dig...) Allow yourself to perceive what the song means on your own accord of thought.
