Going to the Bathroom

I like to slack off
I really do
I brownnose the boss
And compliment him too
My coworker are so jealous
Of all the work I don't do
They don't know the game like I do
Cause I'm going to the bathroom
And I'm gonna sit on my throne
Going to the bathroom and I'm gonna slack off
Going to the bathroom and read the newspaper
Going to the bathroom I love
Morale is low and I know why
Cause I'm always in the bathroom
They have to do their work and mine
I don't care cause I make the most pay
It's not how hard you work but who the boss likes
That's why I'm going to the bathroom
And I'm gonna sit on my throne
Going to the bathroom and I'm gonna slack off
Going to the bathroom and read the newspaper
Going to the bathroom I love
That's right
I'm going to the bathroom I love

About this poem:
A parody of Going to the Chapel. I had this coworker back at a job I had up till 2006 and he would do this constantly. He did get written up once, but still continued to do this. I figure he worked about half his shift and the other half did stuff like this to get out of work and he was the highest paid. He was also my favorite coworker which shows how bad some of my coworkers were.

I cannot deny
All of this anger in my veins
Its bleeding out with all this pain
But you cannot disguise
All of your faceless apathies
They're all swallowed by your travesties

So why should I even try
If you say you hate me
Than why won't you let me be
Because you only want
What you cannot have
But then you killed the love we had

No More
I push you pull
I stay you go
No More

I cannot describe
What its like to feel this drain
As you infiltrate my brain
But you cannot define
What it means to live in peace
Instead you blame your hate on me
So while I rot inside
I let you get the best of me
But I wont let you kill the rest of me
Because you cannot live my life
Although I know you'll try
But I would rather die

No More
I push you pull
I stay you go
No More

GIve me a knife to cut you out of my throat

Thinking About You

on your darkest of days with your lonliest of thoughts.
when love seems to have dried up at it's source. (and)
time for others may be is a luxury you just can't afford.
remember, someone should be thinking about you.

words can be given freely yet they can cost the most.
broken hearts in their wake should hurt dare encroach.
but ah the magic certain words can bring, especially bespoke.
remember, someone might be thinking about you.

whether they be 3 streets over, or a million miles away.
someone wonders how you are, and cares enough to pray.
in time they might be there with you, smiling for your face.
today, someone is thinking of you.

Fools Gold

Saw a sad dog so thirsty I gave him my water.
Got a big smile today from my neighbours baby daughter.
Everything's in colour. Clarity so sharp.
This is the effect that you have on my heart.

Laughed with a stranger at the bus stop this morning.
Found a four leaf clover with the new days dawning.
Everything is possible. Nothing's too hard.
This is the effect that you have on my heart.

Amid raised voices lay the silence of the future.
The silence of fools gold is hollow. Come over (where)
Everything's so beautiful. These words I impart.
This is the effect that you have on my heart.

Broken hearts swim alone, lonely in yesterdays tears.
So swim to my island. Sand pristine. Love clear.
Everything's so ready. It's next to you. Not far.
This is the effect that you have on my heart.

Lost no more

Walking on the sand...visions return like a lost ol' friend,
Let the sun bake me. Watch the dolphins play.
Another day missing you. Why do I stay?

Feeling the waves...visions return of younger, better days.
Let the sun bake me, Hear the laughter of kids.
Another day without you, and the things we did.

Hearing the surf...visions return. I know their worth.
Let the sun bake me. The seagulls scream.
Another day kissing you, in only a dream.

Seeing the blue...visions fill me. My wife is you.
Let the sun bake me. Rip carry me away.
No more days without you. Water lead my way.

For 'S'

Silent is the sky
Silent is the moon
Silent is the ocean
Silent shall I be soon.

Whom will you whisper
and whom will you say?
'Me ' will be a 'mummy'
Only to turn into some clay.

So my soul you save
Which is there in the cave
Of sins and of sorrows
Which will lead me to my grave.

Pray you at the end
Never make me bend,
For 'me' is 'you' and 'you' 'me'
And to each other a friend.

Beautiful and Rare

The sun is rising, peeking above the water.
It’s the beginning of a brand new day.
A gentle breeze is coming off the ocean.
I love the way it makes the palm trees sway.

Taking life, slow and easy
On the island where it’s warm and breezy
Never a worry, never a care
A piece of paradise
So beautiful and rare.

As I go walking, barefoot along the shoreline.
I love the feeling of my toes in the sand.
Living here on this island paradise,
I realize this is simply who I am.

Taking life, slow and easy
On the island where it’s warm and breezy
Never a worry, never a care
A piece of paradise
So beautiful and rare.

The day is done; the sun melts in the water.
I head off to bed with a smile on my face.
Snuggled in your arms tonight, my lady,
This is paradise regardless of the place.

Living life, slow and easy
This may sound just a little bit cheesy
There’s never a worry, never a care
You’re my paradise
So beautiful and rare.

About this poem:
I've always had an affection for the islands.....even though I;ve never been...the poems I write are what I perceive as song lyrics....but being void of any musical ability...they are just words.

Dear God

Dear God up Above
Shelter Those in need of your protection and love.
Help them find a safe place to stay
And erase all their pain away

Comfort those who are alone
And those who are far away from home.
Give them hope and piece of mind
That in the end all will be fine.

Send a meal to all those in need
Even those that had bad deeds
Some believe the end is near
As they live each day in dreadful fear

Send them a sign to not give in
And by working together we will win
So Dear God Up Above
This is my prayer sent with all my love.

No Pockets in My Garments

With no pockets in my garments
I am bound to leave this world.
I'm going to the Kingdom
where I'm the Kings wayward girl.
We've had a strong thing goin' on now
for a real long time.
Once and accountant to that Fiddler,
I am become His laughing Bride.

Well, I won't be goin' without you
because you know that ain't the way.
The King doth wait eternally
for all who've gone astray.
He's a real mench like no other:
His patience has no end.
He will lift you up on Eagle's wings;
Your broken heart He'll surely mend.

Now we're all goin' to the Kingdom.
Our only choice in this is "When".
You can choose to hate
and languish,
or you will the world befriend.
For the Kings so loves His children
that He'll never turn away,
and when you come into the Kingdom
your comin' home to your own
wedding day.

Don't need no pockets in my garments,
Love is all that with me flies.
It's only Real if its Eternal,
so Love is all I leave behind.
They can't tax it.
They can't steal it.
It doth not rot nor oxidize.
The more you give it,
the more you have it.
Love is the treasure of The Wise.

Yeah, we're all goin' to the Kingdom.
Our only choice in this is "When".
You can choose to hate
and languish,
or you will the world befriend.
For the Kings so loves His children
that He'll never turn away,
and when you come into the Kingdom
your comin' home to your own
wedding day.

About this poem:
After the death of a friend who was also a song writer and singer, this set of lyrics popped into my head, along with a tune, while I was thinking of my departed friend "Mr. James". I felt like he was singing it to me.

The Bubble and I

"Welcome, you Bubble," asked I,
"Please tell me one thing.
For a moment you come
But what us to bring?"

Said the Bubble, "I'm for a moment,
True, and must vanish soon;
But hark you , my man!
For me this life is a boon.

Life has its own charm
Long or short - matters not;
On the water for a moment
I do love to float."
