What solace is there for us to be found
Who bewail the demise of one so dear
Like the epicentre of a quake that's shaken the ground
Can't believe she's gone who was once so near
So much joy in the home when we rose this morning
To the usual bustle of breakfast being prepared
As she hurried us along for day was dawning
She made sure that each of her boys was fed
And then with commands to each she gave
She grabbed her bag and was out the door
I remember so well that hurried wave
That left me believing she deserved so much more
She was working too hard and needed a break
And my failure to give it simply broke her heart
I had vowed that there were changes I was going to make
But promises hardly kept us from drifting apart
When the news of the car crash came to my door
All the pain and heartbreak bore me down
With a shattered heart I lay on the floor
And wept till my tears had soaked the ground
Such anguish and loss I can hardly explain
We were cast adrift on an ocean of grief
My son's each tried to deal with their pain
But for none was found any sign of relief
Now the years have gone yet time's stood still
For a family who has lost so much
My sons have grown and their steadfast will
Is evidence of their mother's gentle touch
And though we're doing fine in many ways
With all my heart I would love to do
Just for a moment to see her and touch her face
And tell her one last time "I LOVE YOU"

About this poem:
I wrote this poem at a time when a dear friend had lost his wife in a tragic accident.
I saw how much he grieved for her and it broke my heart. I chose to write
This poem in a feeble effort to express, in some small way, my condolences
And an empathic understanding of what he might be going through.

When they get you down
down on your knees
never buckle
never buy the sleaze
who'll be rising
in the morning breeze
from the firestorm
gimme shelter please
FIST HIGH
FOR LIBERTY GAIN
BURNING FLAG
DOG ON A CHAIN

A gentle breeze brushed thru' my hair, A mystic touch from I know not where
The soft sweet scent of flowers in the air, borne on the wings of an angel
Soft beams of light through morning clouds bring warmth and hope thru' the wakening hours
Soft whispers blow through the leaves in the trees, she's near
That Angel of mine taking flight with my fear.
The deep of the night often unkind, plays games with emotions the route of my mind
My silent soul calls for a positive sign, be here soon on your Wings of an Angel
The hours do not matter the days aimless too, only worry of losing all that's come true
My long lonely journey may be ending please soon, put my fate in the care of this Angel.
A beautiful being but she only knows, was sent from somewhere I wonder who chose
This special lady holds a key to my door, she unlocks my heart with the kiss of an Angel
I've had doom and despair bring me to my knees, but I write this song with nothing to grieve
My heart it is lifting can I this time believe, she's the one with the love of an Angel.
She floats through my life like a mist from the sea, her soft sweet smile stays always with me
The love in her eyes reserved just for me, I'll always stay neath the Wings of this Angel.

About this poem:
I wrote this poem in my bedroom at a private French Chateau in central France in December 1999. It was a very difficult period in my life emotionally with someone special floating in and out of my life at will.
The writing of this poem was cathartic and helped me overcome the emotional roller coaster which was playing havoc with my working life at the Chateau at the time.

My heart is as pure as that of a child
My passion is hot and my temper is mild
I do have love in abundance
To share it with you, I have no resistance
Then why can't I find someone to love me?
A special lady to set my emotions free
To open my eyes and let me see
How wonderful life could be
Am I destined to spend my life alone?
Waiting day and night beside my phone
Hoping a nice lady may give me a call
Asking me, in love with her, to fall
Inviting me to a dancing hall
Falling in love for me is nothing but an illusion
That is my only and final conclusion

The feeling ..hard to explain
I recognise myself only in name
the sense of self merely a shell
the only feeling - living in hell
The light - end of tunnel is barely in sight
as sleeplessness reigns yet another night
So much to live for but lacking foresight
straying towards wrong - rarely the right
Desire to push the self destruct button
knowing full well result equals nothing
hoping like hell this night won't be long
hoping to find the will to be strong
Relentless struggle tomorrow will bring
and maybe the bell of hope will ring
may it chime really loud penetrating my mind
and reach the place it's destined to find

A dowager summoned her butler with some duress,
“Please Jeeves, come take off my dress,
Take off my petticoat,
Take off my bra.
For I know the man that you really are!
Please take off my panties,” she said with some yearning,
She knew that her butler was discreet and discerning.
“Yes Ma’am,” he answered with respect and with tact,
Finally she said in a language exact,
“Now if you wear my clothes again, you’ll be sacked!”

Your desires
engraved in the look
your face,
eye flame.
I do not run away
against the pupil heat
burning skin.
I serve raspberry breasts
swollen with longing
you rock the depth of your hand
mouth by touch
asking for more.
You intertwine the bindweed legs
dewy bodies
you're drowning in relief of blue eyes

When did you leave
Twilight fell quickly
and the flowers have lost their color.
When did you leave
time stopped in place
not giving a chance for tomorrow.
When did you leave
I began to die slowly
stepping pain
to feel that I still exist.

I light a red candle
evoking love
Come to me
I'm here, I'm waiting.
Wake the heart
break the ice, warm it.
Hug the breath of spring
what blooms.
I light a red candle
evoking love
I’ve been waiting for you
to long.

Dusk,
a lullaby of hidden desires
with faster breathing
drunken hopes.
Dusk,
aurora touch
with the smell of promises.
Dusk,
a touch of wind on the skin
the sensitivity of giving.
Dusk
receiving
every particle
our existence.
