Angel of death

Oh my god
There's millions of them!

I've seen a fire start in Frisco
The day that the earth quaked
I've seen buildings a-blazing
Throwing up in flames

I heard men, women and children
Crying out to their God for mercy
But their God didn't listen
So they were burned alive

They went down, down, deep underground
In the great disaster

I was hanging out in Berlin
In the year one thousand nine hundred and thirty nine
I've seen Hitler's storm troopers
March right across the Maginot Line

I've seen two world wars
I've seen men send rockets out into space
I foresee a holocaust
An angel of death descending to destroy the human race

Down, down, deep undergound
A great disaster

In the sixteenth century there was a French philosopher
By the name of Nostradamus
Who prophesised that in the late twentieth century
An angel of death shall waste this land

A holocaust the likes of which
This planet had never seen
Now, I ask you
Do you believe this to be true?

I was standing by the bedside
The night that my father died
He was crying out in pain
To his God he said, "Have mercy, mercy!"

His body was riddled with a disease
Unknown to man so he expected no cure
But before he died that night
He was lost, insane

He went down, down, deep underground
A great disaster

You'll go down, down, deep underground
A great disaster

Here Smile

Her Smile
By: Nia

When she smiles at me or to the world
It seems as though her glow illuminates and agitates
A rhythm like a rainbow magically appears in the sky
Magnetically, her smile lights up the world
Not unlike the moon to a dark universe

She step into my life while all alone
Capturing my heart unbeknownst to thee
And her name is MJC
The J is for Jo and yes...I'm missing her

Missing the vocal tone that I've
Become so accustomed to
How could it be wrong for me
To say that I love you?

She said, it's not "normal" for a...
Person wanting or needing to
Call or text his or her love one
After the relationship is over!

Well, tell me then honey
What's normal?
Is it not right for a man or woman to put up
His or "best" fight to save those

Loving moments of happy days
Or, am I to behave as though it's okay or...
Drop it as it's hot?

See, CJ that's a slippery slop, sloop slid to K because all too long we...
As a people simply throw in the towel far too early as I…. cry out
Dry tears because it seems strange to explain the pain

Therefore the tears remain inside...damn I try....hard to hide
My truth from you because wanting to reach out to you
Just to say Hi anytime I'd like is a struggle
Eternally it's a fight and it gets hard at night!

Because I know she hurts too!
I feel and felt like calling up a crew to relate this message
On my behalf...glad I and I came to my senses
Last thing I'd want is for her to get even further pissed

Wishing, praying upon a star that your heart
Won't take all of this in a way that's negative
Perhaps you'll read it entirely and in'ceive it as it's..

Meant to be...ok baby I'll admit it...loneliness...
Is the only feeling momentarily I see
And please don't go there…I'm not in any fashion

Trying to make you feel guilty about anything
Really, I'm simply pouring out and sharing my feelings
To my sister, friend and woman that I love deeply and care about
Whole heartily, so excuse or give me pardon
For this poem being written entirely with honesty

It's only my opinion (yeah) and I'm not clamming to know...
All things and irrespective of what you think of me
Expressing my heart in this vulnerable spiritual state

Her smile reminds me of the uncontrollable...
Laughter of a child tickled to the max
Surely, you've heard that sound before
May I be honest with you lady? You I adore!

No babe, this isn't one of those pressurized poems!
To endeavor a change of heart
One thing is for sure, I don't wanna make you angry
Anymore than you already are!

One last thing I'd care to say
Trust and believe "I wanna respect your wishes
And give you your space
But know this...
It's challenging when all I see is your face!

Subway

McDonald's, Dunkin Donuts
ooh, I wanna take ya
Pizza Hut, KFC, come on pretty mama
Taco John's, Hardee's
Baby, why don't we go
Burger King
Off of any city street
There's a place called Subway
That's where you wanna go to get away from it all
Meat and cheese in bread
A fountain drink cooling off your hand
We'll be falling in love to the rhythm of
"What toppings would you like on that?"
Over at Subway
McDonald's, Dunkin Donuts
ooh, I wanna take ya
To Pizza Hut, KFC
Come on pretty mama
Taco John's, Hardee's
Baby why don't we go
Over to Subway
Ooh, I wanna take her to the Subway
We'll get there fast food and then we'll take it slow
That's where we wanna go
Over to Subway

About this poem:
Just thinking of the last sub I had at Subway. I bought two footlongs for their special coupon for 12 dollars. I am not doing that again. It's better to just get a six inch sub and eat it fresh. My favorite place in town is UNO'S where they serve Chicago style deep dish pizza.

Search my stars

Last night, I looked up into the stars and matched each one with a reason why I love you. I was doing great until I ran out of stars.

ME WITHOUT YOU

I HATE THE WORLD WHEN YOUR MAD AT ME CRAZY WITHOUT YOU CAUSE YOU HELP ME DEAL WITH MY SANITY. YOUR LIKE MY CO-PILOT, MY GAS MASK IN A RIOT. I LOVE ALL YOUR BADS CAUSE THERE NOT YOUR FLAWS AND ME WITHOUT YOU IS LIKE A d*ck WITHOUT A NECK "JUST HEAD AND BALLS" ME WITHOUT YOU IS LIKE A SPIDER WITHOUT SILK, CEREAL WITHOUT MILK, THE LEANING TOWER WITHOUT THE TILT. WITHOUT YOU I GET ALL KINDS OF PAIN UP IN MY CHEST LIKE GETTING SHOT WITH 12GAUGE THROUGH A KEVLAR VEST. WITHOUT YOU IS NOT TRUE LOVE BUT WITH YOU ALWAYS FEELS LIKE NEW LOVE GIVES ME A GOOSEBUMPS WHEN WE KISS AND WHEN WE HUG! I LOVE ALL MY PEOPLE WHITE, MEXICAN, BLACK, JEWS AND ARABS TOO BUT f*ck THEM AND THE WHOLE WORLD IF THERES A ME WITHOUT YOU!

Heartbreak

He wants to say "I love you,"
But keeps it to "Goodnight."
Because love would mean some falling,
and she's afraid of heights.

Dead Gone

I hear you
I knew

too sudden for birds to arise?
don't think so

Surrendered you did to your
cries

sleeping ghost
that
weeps so
alone

flick your such
blanket anger

spread your'e unknown

It is you....your chance to make a difference

sleep well in the hell

now you are dead

WHO WILL LOVE YOU WHEN YOU'RE OLD AND GREY?

Who will love you when you're old and grey?
Who will love you when your looks fade away?
Who will take that extra time
To tell you that you're doing fine?
It's not the hardest task to bear
To work out just who will be there,
It will be those who you call friend
That will love you till the very end.

Which came first, the chicken or the egg?

A chicken and an egg were lying in bed,
The chicken grinned and moved his head,
He was smoking a cigarette and had a satisfied smile,
The egg in contrast was frowning all the while,
The egg muttered with a forlorn expression,
“Well I guess we answered that old question!”

Christmas Tradition

Once upon a Christmas a long time ago,
Santa was getting ready for his annual trip,
But problems began to appear high and low,
It was enough to give even Santa the pip.

Four of Santa’s elves got sick, life can be cruel,
The trainee elves could not produce toys very fast,
So Santa was becoming behind schedule,
And as a result he felt very downcast.

Then Mrs Claus told Santa her mum was coming to stay,
Santa couldn’t stand the whining old biddy,
This stressed Santa even more on this important day,
It made him nauseous and quite giddy.

When Santa went to harness his reindeer, what a mess,
Three were about to give birth and two had jumped the fence,
They were out there somewhere which caused him more distress,
His face grimaced as his body became tense.

When he began to load the sleigh it cracked like a gun,
The toy bag was scattered all over the icy ground,
This Christmas Eve was turning out to be not much fun,
Which was echoed in the sleigh bells’ hollow sound.

Santa needed a drink; his usual apple cider and rum,
But the elves had hidden his liquor and he had nothing to drink,
He began to get frustrated and morbidly glum,
He could see that his career was teetering on the brink.

Then he accidentally dropped his cider pot on the floor,
It broke into a hundred little pieces all over the kitchen,
When he reached for the broom, mice had eaten the end with straw,
It was like some horror story fiction.

But just then when all was doom and gloom, the doorbell rang,
Santa opened it and saw a little angel with a great big tree,
“Merry Christmas…what a lovely day,” the little angel sang,
His face beaming with Christmas spirit so joyous and free.

“I have this beautiful tree for you, where would you like me to stick it?”
He said like a happy queen bee,
Santa without thought knew where it would fit…
Thus began the tradition of the little angel a top the Christmas tree.
