Illussive Dream

I searched the world over for you.
Knowing one day we would meet.
The mere thought of you takes my breath away.
You make me feel complete.
You take my hand in yours.
And tell me to search no more.
To close my eyes and see.
The life I want.
And it will be.
I trust you. I know it is what it should be.
And the search is ended for me.
So take my hand and lead me through the day.
For together we will stay.

Your Secret

You know something no one knows
You’ve been somewhere no one goes
Heard the music no one hears
Unless they listen with lover’s ears
You’ve seen color shape and form
That no one else could see
You’ve felt chills and you’ve felt warm
You’ve touched every part of me

Is it better? Is it best?
Knowing more than all the rest?
Is sweetness glinting in your eye
Because denial is a lie?
Do you await the confrontation
By someone who suspects
So you can gush your heart’s elation
And quote a name from scripture’s text

Or do you worry? Feel unsure?
Too soon perhaps to feel secure?
If blooming heart were meant for pain
To share it would be no one’s gain
Nothing ventured nothing lost
None to trouble none to blame
If risk’s unworthy of the cost
If thrill and peril are the same

Don’t decide until you feel
That what you know is truly real

For no one knows, no one can guess
At work at home or on CS
Does your secret make you smile?
Will you keep it, for a while?

Missing You

You have the sweetest smile and you have the warmest heart and I really miss your laughter whenever we're apart,
Your photograph reminds me of the days when you are near, but it can never hold me close and kiss away each tear,
And when at night the moon is bright, I long to share it's veiw
For I know deep down within my heart that moon is shining down on you

Moola Jive

I love money, I love cash.
I’ve got to keep my money in a stash.
‘Cause money and me’s a spendin’ spree.
A buck, a buck, a buck, a buck, a buck.

I love money just for me.
I love the moola jive that it gives me.
My money and me, we’re currency.
A coin, a bill, a check, a card, a click.

I love money clean and crisp.
Whoops! Mr. Greenspan, I’m a ‘puter disk.
Do it on line. Your credit is fine.
A buck, a buck, a buck, a buck, a buck.

Oh, slip me a Grant and a Franklin or two.
And I’ll spend it all on you know who.
Drop a fiver in my cup, Joe. Taking it slow.
Teller! Teller! Where’s the teller?

I love diamonds. I love gems.
Hey! Mr. Greenspan. I’m an ATM.
It’s not hard to slip in your card.
A buck, a buck, a buck, a buck, a buck.

Oh, give me a Euro. I’ll take a Yen.
I love all the money that I can spend.
Transfer funds to my account, Rick. Do it quick!
Banker! Banker! Where’s the banker?

I love money. I love dough.
I love the credit card that gives me mo’.
Money for free and the jivin’ and me.
The loot, the loot, the loot, the loot, the loot.

I love money nice and green.
I love it better than the coffee bean.
Forget the jug and fill up my mug
with a buck, a buck, a buck, a buck.

A Fly On The Wall

I wish I was a fly on the wall
Then I could hear what she was saying
To my good friend Saul
Does she even like me at all
I sure wish I was a fly on the wall
Everytime I hear the phone ring I hope its her call
I would know,if only I was a fly on the wall
Yes I wish I was a fly on the wall
Then I would know if she really liked me at all
My friend Saul said she really does like me
I would be able to see for myself
If only I was a fly on the wall

Hunters

Up in a deer blind in the wood,
Some thirty years ago,
I watched and waited for a buck,
That somehow failed to show.

Just tiny finches, rainbow hued,
And squirrels rustling leaves,
The only breaks to silence as,
I peered among the trees.

I turned to look behind me and,
Beheld a wondrous sight.
Upon a log, there perched an owl,
Majestic, snowy white.

So rare a thing in these warm climes,
I'd never seen before.
Stood there in awe above him as,
He scanned the forest floor.

Not finding prey to suit his taste,
He spread his wings to fly.
So graceful and so beautiful,
As he took to the sky.

In all my life I won't forget,
The way it felt that day.
Dumbstruck and humbled, reverant,
I watched him fly away.

The Pathway

I love you so and always will,
On that you can depend.
Though we're again so far apart,
With only words to send.

Our time together was so brief,
So swiftly did it pass.
I treasure ev'ry moment now,
In memory it lasts.

Each day is spent now, struggling,
To make my dreams come true.
Hard though it be, somehow must find,
The pathway back to you.

Sweet Release

When things are going badly,
And you're feeling down and blue,
The whole world seems against you,
Here is something you can do.

Find a quiet, private place,
Where nobody will intrude.
Lock the door and draw the blinds,
To ensure your solitude.

Take a moment to relax,
Let your mind and thoughts run free.
Remove restrictive clothing,
And indulge your fantasies.

Dim all lights except your screen,
Play some music nice and low.
Now don't get in a hurry,
'Cause it's best to take it slow.

There's nothing wrong or sinful,
In composing poetry.
Just wash your hands when finished,
And don't read that cr@p to me.

The Zen of Chicken Butchery

The birds were panicked, terrorized,
Were well aware something was up.
They flapped and squawked around the pen,
A threat'ning shadow loomed above.

The first four spooked into the coop,
Trapped in there by a crude wire gate.
When the roof was raised two flew out,
Thus striving to escape their fate.

These two were captured easily,
Trapped in a corner, grabbed by legs.
But these turned out to be the ones,
Meant to be kept for laying eggs.

The rest were destined for the pan,
And somehow they seemed to sense it.
So desp'rately they struggled as,
They realized the intentions.

When you hold chickens by their feet,
And then hang them upsidedown.
Then smooth the neck down to the head,
A quiet calmness will abound.

The rest was rote, mechanical,
Beheading, plucking, wings and feet.
It's not a pretty process but,
This is the way we get our meat.

The Patriot

He never went to war because,
They just seemed so unjust.
All fought for greed or politics,
Some old men's power lust.

His father in the big one went,
The evil axis fell.
He liked to think if he'd lived then,
That he'd have gone as well.

The many men he'd met who claimed,
To love their country most,
Had more seemed charmed by violence,
Bravado, blood and boast.

And yet he knew that warriors,
Were often brave in fact.
When fearlessly they battled to,
Protect their buddies backs.

So when he saw his country's flag,
It filled his heart with pride,
And gave a heartfelt thank you to,
The ones who'd fought and died.
