I think it all depends on where you are going within Italy, if you go to major cities or holiday resorts then English is widely spoken, however, more rural and isolated areas tend not to need English so fewer speak it. I am going to Italy in a couple of months to teach English and only have a smattering of Italian, enough to meet and greet and order food etc
And what is wrong with Elkhart? I spent a very happy time there

I spend roughly 240 pounds a month on food, and 100 pounds a month on fuel, I have budgeted when I move to Italy for 190 euros for food and 50 euros for fuel, going on the prices I saw at Christmas, accommodation will of course be on top of that.
Smoking will go as will my lovely cheese which was so expensive in Italy, but I intend to replace those with good wholesome red wine
Yes I agree,there has been a change, but would this not have occurred whether or not the human race existed, my point is that there is a cycle of climate, earth seems to go from one extreme to the other one moment an ice age the next (give or take a few million years)the ice caps melt, maybe we are just coming to the end of the last ice age and the beginning of a new heat age for wont of a better word A natural phenomenon perhaps.

Routers do emit a radiation in the form similar to both cordless phones and mobile phones, they all transmit radio waves at particular frequencies and as such an electro magnetic field is also emitted, this field is often called radiation.
Sambhava, I am not implying anything, I have not read the Karolinska Institute reports so can't comment, all I can do is tell you what I personally have done or not done regarding the safty of mobile equipment, its up to you how you use that information,but, in my experience, the idea that cordless phones and routers should not be used within 100 metres of a person sounds a little fanciful if not impossible as you would find it impossible to use such equipment. Mobile phones have been around for a long time, I think it was around 1940 odd that motorola first brought out walkie talkies radios,the cell phone of today is not much different, if after nearly 70 years of continuous use we have not been able to prove one way or the other then sure, use some caution but don't lose any sleep over it, Japan has been using cell phones since around 1978, no ill health has ever been attributed to their use, or at least not as far as I am aware.
Finally, don't forget the world is held in place by magnetic forces, the amount of Electromagnetic radiation or Field,produced by a phone is infinitesimal compared to that which passes continuously through our body by the very nature of the worlds own magnetic force.
My 15 year old son has a mobile phone he keeps by his pillow, (in case his girlfriend calls lol) and he also has a router in his room, I have a signal detector, which I mainly use for tuning aerials but its quite good for finding other transmissions, I have never detected any greater spurious signal in his room to that from outside the house.
As I said earlier, I would not recommend a lot of wireless technology around any young child while their brain is still developing, as no one really knows if close contact to radiating signals from phones, routers etc could affect such a young person.

No it makes no sense whatsoever, the information is converted into a digital signal and can have no affect at all, the only possible affect to DNA would come from the radiation produced by the transmitter, but the average TV gives out far more radiation than a cordless phone or a cell phone.
Dru with your spiritualism you really should visit the UK especially Stonehenge, explore the lay lines and feel the power they exude. When not swarming with tourists I think Stonehenge and the Westbury circles are the mos tranquil places on earth.
Well as an observation,can I politely suggest that you take a look around again, I have been here a few months and I have not seen any male bashing, sure there have been squabbles between members but I defy you to show that they were gender related.
But by stating your "observation" I guess you have now blown any chance of meeting someone, which was presumably why you joined in the first place.
Thats what I was thinking, but when you read on the internet there seems to be much that points to it being a human creation and nothing to do with mother nature
