Manufacturing industry is the only thing making money in the country at the moment and 40 % of that goes to the UK according to RTE! I'm not even talking about extra trade. Then there are Irish companies working within the UK and many Irish people who choose to live and work in the UK! We need to be friends with our friends now more than ever.

The UK is your biggest trading partner and €25 million is a drop in the ocean compared to the value of trade.

Music nowadays is designed to appear and disappear very quickly. It's a manufactured product designed to generate profit for shareholders of EMI and the like and it's shelf life is very short. Quick turnover and on to the next thing is the name of the game!

I think it's your motives that are important. If you're being honest to be helpful and clarify a situation then that is fine. If however, you are honest primarily to hurt or humiliate someone then that is wrong.

According to the news reports I've seen, and we're talking mainstream media like the BBC, this is not true making the thread emotional claptrap.

Bin Laden was unarmed and his wife threw herself in front of the US troops. And once again, the US military broke international law by entering a sovereign state with no permission.

The world may be a safer place with Bin Laden dead in the short term but if it's justifiable for the US to ignore international law, then it's OK for the Chinese, The Russians, The Iranians or anyone else for that matter.

I wonder if anyone is considering a similar fate for Bush and Blair!

They are asked to sign up so we can arrange discounts with the hotels for numbers. Why do you think we have a sign up thread. Just something nice and superficial like hello magazine for airheads to read!

At one point 41 people were booked up and 4 show up. This site is full of time wasters and liars in my humble opinion! Tell me honestly.....just how many do you see going to Donegal out of the ones who have signed.

I'll certainly never arrange or attend another meet.

There are plenty M who are still on the sign up thread. These are regular members. Any wonder that dates aren't working out on here. Sherkin isn't the kind of place you can go off and do something different. It really needed the members to turn up and sadly they let us down.

Sadly, another meet gone wrong by people who have no intention of going, some of who should know better, signing up to attend. That's the kind of wasters we have on this site lately. 4 members and 3 guests turned up. For 2 of the members this was their first meet and very disappointing.

So 5 of us came home after only one day. Perhaps a reminder to us all not to take people on here at face value.

I wouldn't hold out much hope for the Donegal meet!
