They have been since I was big enough to touch them. My Grandmother didn't like a cat inside, so I would smuggle one in. They would be inside until I was caught. I found out my Mom did the same thing.
I was on the NY subway with a group of people, and it was packed. I did not like it a bit. I was afraid I would lose them. I held on to one of their arms. We were going to a Art Gallery. I also remember graffetti in places. For me, it was too many people. I've been there 3 times and always was glad to be going back to VA. My class took a high school field trip to New York. We had the green light, and all of us were trying to cross. Car's started up and were moving at us. I started running or else I would have gotten hit.
You would be delighted with the fresh vegetables and land to walk around on. My so called Fried blackberries are out of the world. I got the recipe from my Grandmother. They grew all their own vegetables. Baby lima's are a treat, they melt in your mouth. They are much better than regular lima's. Even in Northern Virginia, people are canning home grown vegetables again.
I had a date with my nephews. I had to drop off some candy for them and a toy. I had a good time.
But I come home to find a note from someone from CS, who I had been writing to. There were some nice notes. I had at least written 3 notes that he took the wrong way. Instead of asking calmly what I meant, he would explode on me. He would say I was pressing his buttons. But how was I to know that I was.
I asked him to be civil with me, no need to word things like he did with anger.
I wrote what was going to me my last note. I said, I didn't like the bashing. I had asked, are we friends or more? He considered 1 week to soon to answer this. I just wanted to know if he thought of me only as his friend. I do not think this is unreasonable.
In his last note, he didn't think we got along. I agree, he has anger issues.
Then he blocked me, not letting me answer him back. That is a true sign of what he is made of plus he didn't give a dam. There is the right and wrong way to disconnect.
It was a blessing in disguise. I would never be around a guy that struck out like that. Walking on egg shells, no thank you. So I'm happy that I never met him. It would have been a disaster.
I know if I would have gotten upset at him, he would have had a real hissy.
I hope you find who you are looking for. I grew up in Southern Virginia. It was heavenly. I'm in Northern Virginia now, but live close to a small historic town. Once I retire, I want to get a small house so that I can do full scale gardening. I think you would be happier if you do not like urban life. Now, I garden in containers on a balcony. I have perennial (come back every year) Iris in containers that can stay outside all year around. Then in the summer, plant annuals and perennials in containers.
I have 2 cats and a Doberman dog. Also 2 Betta fish. I love animals. I had a pony growing up. My family only had cats. When I got married, we had both. The ex was a sheltie guy. So we both grew to love both cats and dogs. Now that I am single, my latest Doberman has been owned by me. I have one of my ex's cats. I think having a animal is good for your health. I think that for all the love they give, to take care of them doesn't bother me at all.
Hello, Virginian, good work. Seems like everyone in the World wants to see us sink. If we sank, then they would rise higher. We got through the Depression, we will get through this. I agree with you Venere. She complains about the US sharply, then doesn't realize she acted exactly like how she perceives the USA acts. What she thinks will not change what I think of Australia, good people and a nice country.

I guess because we are. As for the quote above, even a little younger men and a little older than me act in the same way. There are players from 49-56. I've dated the whole group. There are still bad guys, and I stay away from them. These days, I go out with groups or try dating who I think is a good guy or stay at home. I have a better life that way. I have lost the attraction to bad guys, their talk doesn't effect me anymore. They can mosey on little doggy.
Hi Mtncabin, that movie scared me so bad, the "Wizard of Oz". My Mom took me over to her girlfriend's house to see it,she had a daughter also. I stayed glued to my chair in fear: the horrible beasty flying monkey's, the evil Witch, Dorthy being taken away by a tornado. I had nightmares after that. I thought it might be possible that the same thing could happen to me, being swept away. I only like Toto and the cowardly Lion.
Most Australians are known for their banter. I love Australia and most of the people. I have never met a Auz person here that had your attitude against us. Take a holiday wherever, that was a tacky comment about taking a holiday here. This is the kind of thread that stirs people up, not together, it was just a nasty comment you made. I would advise you to take care of your country, we will take care of ours. Frankly, all anyone can try to do these days is to help others in need with the economy.

One is having a Valentine's meetup at a pub. That is because we are alone also.
Also, meetup.com has been written up twice in our major newspaper as a good way to find things to do with others. All you have to do is type in the address, and enter the State you live in. Then you can select groups that have interests like you.
Since I'm single, I try to make sure I have sometime to do on holidays. But if I didn't have my group, I would stay home, light some candles, popcorn, and watch a movie.

Ha, Ooby dooby, that's a good compromise. Native born New Yorker who lives in VA. A little of both.I have to say, I'm sure there are some decent New Yorker guys, but some of others certainly don't help New York's image.
