Beat the Depression Blues!

I'd like to start a 'Group' thingy on how to make money out of this depression, but you can only start one group per 20 days and it seems I started the Wine thingy group less than 20 days ago!

Any volunteers, please, to start a 'Beat the Depression' Group?

I have to admit that I am totally gobsmacked by my good fortune over the past few weeks and months........... I know very little about 'investments' in general, but have a good mathematical brain (including some knowledge about such stuff as 'probability').

I read that it made sense to get a good mentor - and I have been lucky enough to have found such a person........... I'd like to share and discuss my views on how to take advantage of the horrible mess the world is going through right now so that when this global recession/depression is over in a few months (years?) we'll be able to really reap the benefits!

Making money is a rather dry and boring subject for most people (especially if you are only interested in lust and love in a singles site) - but remember that if you really love somebody you want the best for them, and money does NOT grow on trees!

Wishing you all future prosperity..................... wine

RE: whats the nicest thing a guy ever said to you ladies?

There are all kinds of drunks - he must be one of those loveable drunks who wave to you, while burping into their pint glass, as you leave! grin

RE: whats the nicest thing a guy ever said to you ladies?

No I'm not!

I'm a cute little froggie thingy!

See?

stuck frog stuck

grin

RE: 4 dreaded words we all have heard

I'm watching...... and waiting! batting

RE: 4 dreaded words we all have heard

My immediate reaction is 'NO!'

(I don't HAVE to do anything and YOU'RE not going to make me do ANYTHING against my will...... get out of my damn way 'cos I am outta here and I am in a good mood and you have no right to spoil my good mood, so there! tongue )

RE: whats the nicest thing a guy ever said to you ladies?

of course...... 'cos you're a little devil! lips

RE: whats the nicest thing a guy ever said to you ladies?

I used to take off my glasses and say:

"NOW you look beautiful!" (~squint~ ~squint~)

Summertimes it got me a slap on the face, other times a chuckle........ but mostly it at least raised a smile - and a smile is often an ice-breaker into the heart of a fair maiden; right?

grin

RE: Why I don’t get friends here?

oh fickle one! tongue laugh

RE: Why I don’t get friends here?

I already told you - a pic of you having been pushed into a swimming pool with all your clothes on just doesn't 'do it' for ladies of discretion and taste!¬ laugh

RE: Age

think so, hope so.......... grin

RE: Artist desperately seeking EU men with intellect and heart!

A very sweet and sincere post - good luck! thumbs up wine

RE: where is the best place to live in europe?:)

I am not Irish, but I have a half Irish son.

I have only visited the Republic of Ireland for one day, but it was a day to remember and I have not been anywhere else in the world where the quality of light was so 'magical'.

I also found the people I talked to that day the most well-rounded and sane and cultured people I've ever met; they were decent and intelligent and welcoming in a quiet and dignified manner that impressed me.

It was only a single day of my life, but one that stands out as being really wonderful and a memory I'll treasure until the day I die!

thumbs up wine

P.S. I think a few Irish coffees and the fact that I was madly in love probably helped with the good impression too! dancing

RE: overweight>...........................

Yes. I feel very sorry for people with genuine weight problems; there is a genetic disease that 0.02% of the UK population have that makes them permanently hungry combined with a lower than normal metabolism...... saw a tv programme that featured, among several others, a little girl of 12 who had this disease.

She got so hungry that she ate the cat pet food; her mother and father were terribly upset for her and she had a 'normal' younger sister who tried her best to help look after - the genetic disease has some other symptoms including reduced muscle development and is very distressing for the individuals and their loved ones. conversing sigh

RE: overweight>...........................

I guess I am lucky when it comes to weight; I can put on or lose weight very easily over a matter of just a few months. I don't go on any special diet - I just tell myself what weight I want to be, and then allow my body to subconsciously obey my command.

Really - I am NOT kidding!

RE: Age

Not really - eight years difference between me and the love of my life.......... and even those eight years are frustrating because I want her to retire as soon as possible so she can devote her life to me! moping

RE: where is the best place to live in europe?:)

"Where is the best place to live in europe?:)"

The best place to live in Europe is in a house.

A house offers protection from the elements, and (depending where you live) nasty biting insects (especially if you have airconditioning or decent fly/mosquito screens).

A house makes you feel nice and warm/cool and secure.

A house can be up a mountain or by the sea or even in a city (not so nice as there is more stuff called 'air pollution' in most cities).

I recommend a house in Europe.

A house is better than a tent and much better than sleeping on a park bench, and (if you are single) if you meet somebody nice you can invite them home to your house and do naughty things with them that would be more difficult on a park bench and less comfortable in a tent.

I like Europe - living in a house in Europe is the best place to live! lips

RE: judging the book by its cover

rocketqueen...... dare I say you have a stunning cover? batting

I really don't care if you can sing!¬ laugh

RE: overweight>...........................

You have a cute nose and lovely eyes! lips

RE: What size women do most guys like?

I like women with large-sized brains but with demure modest personalities.............. what they look like is then a bonus, but, being a very greedy man, I like to have the wonderful personality and brains delivered in a nice package - having said that I am totally convinced that if you love a woman she is bound to be beautiful in your eyes whatever her hair or skin colour of her 'size' - and hopefully vice versa! thumbs up

RE: hey from houston

Oh yes............. blushing

RE: Items that should not be worn in public.

I just have a vivid imagination.............

I have never seen a man from ANY country or cultural background actually proudly strutting down the main road of a little village in the Cotswolds (England) wearing a baby camel on his head - never!dunno

RE: Say something....to anybody...TRY to be nice...

I tried to be nice once, and all that happened was that I got accused of being insincere!

moping dunno grin

RE: I Am Really Curious...... To The Couples Who Met On CS

There is no need to relocate - my partner and I have three homes in three different countries so there is no need for either of us to lose what we already have to start a new life in some foreign country; a couple of months here followed by a couple of months 'there' (wherever 'there' may be) and then there are always holidays (what the 'mericanos call 'vay cay shuns') to think about - I really fancy a six week cruise to New Zealand for our next trip....... trouble is the food is so good and available 24/7 I do tend to put on a little weight! Yikes!

moping

RE: I Am Really Curious...... To The Couples Who Met On CS

Good luck! thumbs up wine

RE: Items that should not be worn in public.

Listen, young man, if you lose your cufflinks at the top of a lady's stockings it's really open to interpretation whether that's 'good' or 'bad' or 'very bad, but really quite nice' - ok? dunno

RE: this is for regulars here !

Yup - met a load of CS members who live in Malta and even a couple or three members who live here in Gozo plus members from Spain, Sweden etc............ all great people! thumbs up

RE: wedward

Excellent! thumbs up

I was only being sarcastic - as you should know by now!

I hope your new venture is a great success! wine

(last sentence is NOT sarcastic, btw)

RE: Items that should not be worn in public.

Hi iamamm......

It's all in the wrist action! blushing

RE: I Am Really Curious...... To The Couples Who Met On CS
