RE: The recipe page

It is a plant that makes eggs, much like a cement plant makes cement.
But this is a plant more like a tree kind, and it makes gigantic purple eggs. Unlike hen eggs the outer shell is not brittle, so you can eat it too, once you cook it.
Unfortunately putting it in an incubator has no effect other than that it will be ready to eat in about 3 weeks LOL rolling on the floor laughing rolling on the floor laughing rolling on the floor laughing

RE: Did You Know This About Norwegians/Danes?

I beg to differ.

Norwegians take sand paper to the desert, because taking toilet paper makes no sense. There are no toilets in the desert, so sandpaper is the nearest thing they can think about. At least it is some form of paper, and sand is abundant in the desert.

Again they take a car door to remind them that travelling by car is so much more comfortable than than travelling on a camel's back or walking on the sand.

You sink a Danish submarine by pulling the plug from under it.

You sink a Norwegian submarine in the same way, but being already submerged, the would'nt notice!!! rolling on the floor laughing rolling on the floor laughing

RE: Ferrari again!!!!!

Which type do you want? The one with four legs or the one with four wheels? I have been driving Jaguars since 1960's. Great cars, but then I moved on to Alfas, and all sorts of exotic machinery too.

HOPE NOT HOPE NOT

RE: About Soulmates ...

Sorry FOS, I must have confused you too.
What I meant to say was that most people see it essential to find a soulmate, as different from a partner which they might have to change, should things not work out.
My contribution aimed at illustratring that it is possible to live independently of anybody else, if we choose to do so, since we are not PHYSICALLY linked to anybody else at birth, unless we were Siamese twins.

The rest should be clear. Maybe I should also say that in other words people make mistakes about deciding on their soulmates, because physiological considerations are mistaken for love

RE: About Soulmates ...

You have understood wrongly the first part of my contribution. What I meant was that if people survive independently at a younger age, they are also capable of surviving as adults. I hope that this is clearer now. It is the whole answer that has to make sense, not sentences taken out of context.

RE: Picky's contribution: I got married last night...

Smokey dear, stop making me jealous. Include me in your list of favourites....or else??

RE: Great women

Oh my God....how could you put Joan of Arc and Aghata Barbara on the same level?

When Aghata Barbara was declared President of Malta, I for one, was ashamed that a woman of such low calibre could ever represent me, or any respectable Maltese, at any level, never mind as the President of the Republic! She was an insult to the nation, and when I remember to what levels this nation had fallen, I feel a chill down my spine remembering how we actually survived the dictatorship of the Mintoffian regime and the police state that we lived in. She was a part of that clique at the hands of which so many people disappeared, where frameups were the order of the day, and where corruption was rampant.
True she taught us Maltese a lesson, and that was how to swear like black chimneys, like she did. Or how to sell the palatial oranges.

The Mintoffian era must be remembered as Malta's worst black spot in its recent history. The younger generation who have been lucky enough not to have lived the nightmare, cannot imagine what it was like.
Last but not least, was the eyesore of looking at Aghata on out pound notes. Thank heaven that the central bank kindly removed this eyesore from our eyes and from our hearts.

I hope that she will be long forgotten and never remembered!!

RE: To get a girl you need a girl

THANKS

RE: being single forever

I am disgusted at what you understood in my reply Smoky.

I never said I was interested in any woman at all other than my girlfriend.
I said that there are many who write to me HOPING that IF I break up with my girlfriend, they would already be on board the ship.

Once again for correctness sake, I did not blow anything up. I am happy to be with my woman and happy to chat or exchange views on CS forums, and I let my girlfriend read my contributions too, so as to eliminate any such allusions and false accusations.

RE: being single forever

You answered your own question. I am not looking for any relationship. I am on the EU forums to contribute and to exchange ideas. It is exciting to contribute to such forums, and I believe that I have learnt a lot from various contributors.
Since it is no sin to publicly express my position, that of being in a relationship, so that no one would be misled that I am doing anything to induce any person to fall in love with me, I prefer to continue to contribute, to fill my spare time.

When I joined CS, I was 100% single, but then I met an old friend (not from CS forums or from the CS site) although there are atill a number of women who write to me, just as friends, or maybe hoping that should I break up my relationship, they would be on board the ship already.

RE: To get a girl you need a girl

I can swear to that Elley.

If you are good enough to be in the company of an attractive woman, then your woman is going to have many rivals, trying to pull you away from her. If you are alone, then you are not worth the effort of their attention.
Women work like that. It is just that they think that if you have not attracted the attention of any other woman, then you are just not worth their own attention.

RE: being single forever

Hi Midnight, From the way you wrote your contribution it is difficult for me to understand what you actually wanted to say. Most of the replies you got made reference to you being visible or invisible. But if I understood right, you tried to make a point of being single. You said that being single really gives you the possibility of meeting the right man. If you were not single, this would exclude it. But you said, can you stay single forever in the hope of finding the right man in your single state. That is what I understood....... is that it?

Well, my comments are that being single does not mean staying alone. I am single, that is I am not married or engaged, but I am not alone. I have been in a relationship for over a year now, and find that this is the way which is most convenient to both. If we should quarrel, and decide to split, there are no divorce bills, no expensive engagement rings to be returned, no houses to be sold, nothing. In fact it is the purest of love, love for its own sake, not tied up with a piece of paper in some dark filing cabinet, which is the civil marriage contract.

Whether it is better to be single or be with somebody in a seroius relationship, is the 100,000 dollar question. The Italians have a saying that literally translated reads: better alone than with the wrong person!

I hope I have understood your contribution, purposely not commenting on your invisibility or otherwise, because, you have had comments from others about that!

RE: Re-incarnation

Yes I definitely believe in it, because I have been here once before. I distinctly remember many interesting things in detail.

I don't want to repeat what I have said in a previous thread, so please look it up.

I also believe that the ones who had a comfortable life, are reincarnated and suffer the second time around. Those that suffer are reincarnated to enjoy life to the full. I believe that this is the closest to the idea of heaven and hell reward theory.
As for myself, having lived a very comfortable life in my past existence, I have been reincarnated this time to suffer, and I have suffered a lot. In what areas? In those areas that I have enjoyed so much in my previous life. That, I think makes a lot of sense.
What do you think???? Any one of you who remembers anything??
By the way, humans are reincarnated as humans.

RE: Re-incarnation

The most scientific defenition of time is "a measure of change" a rate at which things are observed to undergo change.
Contrary to most beliefs, absolute time is non existent. Time is a man made dimension that has helped man to take into perspective the workings of the world and of the universe. It helps to establish certain rules of physics, but then apply that to eternity. How do we distinguish between something that does not seem to fall into our time scale, and one that does?
Reading "a brief history of time" helps here. Strongly recommended.

RE: Mr Gingg ?

Mr Gingg is the name of my ex wife's cat. He is still with me. He's quite a naughty boy!!

RE: Test for Dementia

No even without a calculator, it comes to 4100.
There are four "1000" so that is 4000, and the smaller numbers add to 100
So the answer is 4100.

RE: When's your Birthday and what would you like?

Hi Christiva, a warm welcome from Malta!applause

RE: Test for Dementia

Be my guest. But it won't happen for a long long time yet, by which time I would have forgotten that I have invited you!! We are still very young to suffer from dementia!!

RE: When's your Birthday and what would you like?

cheers

RE: When's your Birthday and what would you like?

Oh Cherscic,

Would you do that to a fellow lion?

I could drive back home, but am I not your guest?

RE: Test for Dementia

Don't get so desperate Oslo, I can look after you without locking you up in a retirement home!!
Hope I don't forget you are staying in my house, and call the police to tell them that somebody broke into my house!!!

RE: What does it mean to be Human

To be human is to realise to our despair that we are limited in everything that we do. Even our brain power is limited. We are bound to conceive the unlimited, like the infinite, in terms of the finite. When the finite cannot be applied to our thoughts, then we say that it is infinite.
Our aspirations are always for what we don't have. Omniscience, omnivolence and omnipotence.
While we yearn for these, we live in the misery of our fate, each one to his own fate, each one to his luck! And like that we are all fuc**ed!

RE: One for the boys....

Will have to substitute "if you had to meet me" with "if I had to meet somebody really special to me".
I would also have to select a summer day scenario.

With those premises, I would call for her with my convertible, and take her for a drive at sunset. This would be followed by dinner at a very good restaurant. Wine, but not too much of it.
A hand in hand walk on the sandy beach, some star gazing on the roof of my house, an invitation for a back massage in the air conditioned bed room, and of course a night of love, with breakfast in bed the next morning (well let me say afternoon). Can't get all that love making in a few hours!!

RE: One for the boys....

WOW WOW WOW !!! What hospital does she work in? I am feeling terribly sick. I need a nurse....someone to save my life......nurse, nurse, can you attend to me ? I have a broken heart, can you mend it?
Oh you are French?? Can I have a French kiss then??

Why is it that we have a brand new hospital here, and crappy old nurses? Someone should offer this nurse a job, especially now that summer is approaching, and she is already in her summer uniform. Holy smoke!!
Some people will never leave hospital while she is still around!

RE: One for the boys....

Would that woman be the prize Brunette. I'd better start thinking about what to tell you to merit it.

RE: One for the boys....

Dont think there is much resemblence though!!
