That sounds fantastic Smoky. I never tasted that brand of mulled wine. Me and my ex used to make our own, and it tasted delicious, much better than the commercial stuff available. I am not too fond of beer, but I would accept an invitation to try all that out without losing my jacket of course. Any offers?
Are those log fires amazing! I have been once in a chateau in Switzerland around a log fire eating hot chestnuts and chocolate, but that is many decades ago. Never had the occasion to revisit!!
What's the hot soup like? I was lucky to taste some lovely Irish stew while in Ireland recently, and it is nothing like what we eat in other countries. It is the real Irish stew.
Thank you darling Smoky. With me you can rest assured that I would come looking and smelling like a flower.
A small part of it is my personal experience, the other part is from observation. There are times when I have to return to the supermarket counter because of stinking people standing next to me.
But stinking on a date.............Oh Gee unheard of, that is one thing I would never accept. It tells so much about the person. If they don't bother to rectify what is evident, imagine how much they care to do what isn't
Well Smoky, we all have our preferences, I was quite oblivious to other minor things like fingernails ear/nose habits. But smells hit me fast!!
I will pay more attention the next time. I will enquire about her hairdresser and her manicure expert and what shampoo she uses against dandruff. Maybe I will ask her about the conditioner she uses on her clothes.
Well Baron is the family title. We are all barons in my family, but then he has added another title, that of Chevalier of the Order of St Lazarus of Gerusalem.
So the next time you see him, address him as
Your highness, Baron, and Chevalier of the most Noble Order of St Lazarus of Gerusalem.
My son's partner has graciously invited me over for Christmas dinner, and I hope to persuade my ex to join me in the fun even it be just for that one day. We are all doing some of the cooking. I will make the lasagne, my son's gf will cook the turkey, my ex should do the mushroom soup if she comes, and my son the desert. Our other invited friends will provide the wine, the mulled wine and the soft drinks.
When people present themselves like that, especially on a first date, it is a way of life with them, and whatever you do, you won't change them. Character is no substitute for personal hygene. I place personal hygene above all else, because when you get intimate, it is what is most important.
I hope they don't eat what you've got! Catholic women have stopped their abstention from eating meat on Friday about 50 years ago. So don't hesitate on a Friday to get the job done, and they are free to drink anything even in days of abstinence
The left wing are the destroyers in every nation. They caused a disaster in the few months they were in power in Italy.
As to Berlusconi being a crook, the Italians have courts of justice too, but till now have been unsuccessful in pinning him down on anything. It is just slime thrown at a person who has not only led Italy through a stable government, but also brought prosperity to a nation that was going to be destroyed by the Communist left....yes in Italy they still have a communist party....long after the demise of communism!! only in Italy!!!
Well as usual, when there is an interesting thread, posts go at a tangent, and never address the real issue.
I have not read one post that definitely affirms YES & WHY or...............................................NO & WHY NOT all have circumnavigated the question.
The question of the creator as the prime mover is interesting. In our knowledge of things, everything has a reason for being or for functioning. In our Newtonian physics we learn about action and reaction being equal and opposite.
Because of the complexity of certain things in the world around us and in the universe, it is difficult to imagine how all this could have happened without a creator. This creator would have to be omniscient, omnipotent and omnivolent. But if this were the case, why was man made so imperfect? Why is it that he was created or made to live on a lump of rock still liquid on the inside, with volcanoes bursting everywhere and killing people, earthquakes and tsunamis all along the ages...etc?
Why is it that man had to create time, in order to be able to better understand something beyond time?
Did we humans create the first mover, the creator, or did he create us? We have a reason why we would want to create a creator? Because we can attribute to him all things that we cannot do or understand, yet we cannot understand him or the way in which he created us, because the capacity of our human brain cannot process a thing well beyond its capacity.
Since one thing leads to another, yes I do believe that it logical to assume that there is such a thing as a prime mover, although I cannot describe what or who it could possibly be.
It is absolutely unacceptable. Yet you get it down the line from top professionals to ordinary workers. These people just don't realise that smelling like a corpse is NOT ok, and stink whether it is sweat, mouth, or simply lack of general hygene is unacceptable and is not the body's natural pheromones.
I would turn down my date if she smelt....and you have to consider if she smells when she is still fully dressed up. just imagine what it is like when she takes her clothes off.....And one thing if she smells it is an indicator of bad personal hygene, not just the lack of perfume!
From what ADY has said, it looks like it is a suggestion that has been put forward. I am proof reading my replies for spelling mistakes!! LOL
Let me see now Capricorn, that is a very agreeable sign with Leo. Does the age bracket have to be 0-99 for your male preferences? You see I have forgotten my age too but they tell me it is 99+1. Any difference to you? LOL
That's great Smoky, so not being my Granny, you have no obligation, but you will be sending me a Christmas present. What happened to your pink Ferrari? I would appreciate it as a pick up car for my dates!! You have'nt been seen in it in the village for ages.
Oh that is very bad costagirl, not that I am afraid of dogs, but I am afraid of losing what I got, so tell me, would you prefer coming over yourself? You don't have to get a six pack with you....drinks are cheap in Malta.
One other problem, I don't have a door knocker, just a doorbell, so I guess I cannot expect anybody at all to knock on my door six pack or bare hands!!!! LOL
