Ok what you are saying is perfectly true. Nobody expects a creep for a partner, but is there some other way of putting things? Most people are single here because they left behind an unfaithful husband/wife. And what they definitely don't want ever again is someone who is insincere, unfaithful, untruthful. In fact this is a trend in every profile. But it is what is written between the lines that matters.
Just imagine asing for someone who has all the vices imaginable. That there is someone asking for such a person is so offputting that it gets nowhere.....like asking for Jack the Ripper. I bet he is not going to answer your call LOL!!

Maybe she was not single, and all it would have taken was to ask her directly if she was free or not. It would have saved a lot of useless hassle. I can't imagine a guy who cannot walk up to a girl and ask her out, to ask her to bed with him later. It boggles the mind. Maybe some women act correctly when they ignore certain signals from would be admirers!!

Yes you do have to be single to use this site, although most of us are not in some way or by some contorted defenition of "single" single. I suppose I could say that if your intentions are finding a date, a person to meet, then if you are not single, you should be definitely out, but if you like participating in the forums, yes, why not? you would not be using the site to find new singles to date, but as a way to participate in a topic.
One way of learning a lot about people is to read their forum contributions. If they are not the type to actively participate in the forums, then chances are you get a one legged man who swears he has two, but one he leaves in the cupboard for that special occasion.!!

How come so many Maltese people get this idea that they are ruled by Brussels rather than that they are participants in decisions taken at Brussels that affect them like they affect the rest of Europe, and that they have a say in those decisions. Well I believe that one of the couple should be. And it does not have to be the man, but the one who is better cut for the job. So far as things move smoothly, it can be either. In the world where women affirm to be equal to men in everything, it is about time they took the responsibility to head the family as well.
I am a lazy guy. Always have been. I like to sleep very much.
Of course I had to adapt to circumstances like when my kids were young, and together with my wife I had to wake up early to prepare them for school. There were times when we had to do it regularly while travelling.
When I had my business with employees coming at a fairly early hour, I had to open the premises for them and hand them down the day's worklist, but today, although still in business, I wake up fairly late, somewhere between between 8.30 and 9.00, take it easy, make some coffee for myself, and gradually shower and move off to work.
On weekends it is different. Especially if in company, it is usually 11 or 12 noon. Same routine but no work.
I never managed to stick to the 8 hours work, 8 hours play, 8 hours sleep. Don't you eat when you work? Don't you eat while you play? Ok I know you don't eat while you sleep!
I could'nt agree with you more about the last paragraph. Rest assured however that nobody is ever going to give you money for nothing. So if you want some more, you have to make it happen. Or just dream about it at night as I do. Maybe one day I will wake up to the reality that my dream has become a reality!!
I know that what Oslo said was a joke. What I did not understand was why the scope of the thread to give the impression that Europeans and Americans were living on two different planets. That is the joke that I must have missed.....if it was a joke!!!
I never give away anything that I have treasured before, or paid for with my money. Same for the things I inherited, and the older they are, the more I treasure them. It makes no difference where I put them or how I store them. The important thing is that I never dispose of anything. My sons are the same. and they are going to inherit something like a curio shop very soon.
Whoever mentioned somebody else's money FOS? I too did what you did or are still doing, but would love to have not only the money to do it, but as much of it in excess of any need, even to cover my wildest dreams....and some of the wilder dreams require loads of money to make them come true.
Before letting them pick on you, tell them Oslo, that in spite of their ignorance, single mothers get a free residence where to stay, and they have a subsidy to live by, which we Europeans don't have. So if you were living in the USA, life would not be so bad.Enough said this time.
You are not getting a Nobel prize for the originality of this thread. So much has been said in similar previous threads, that there is nothing much else that one could add.
Aspirations are desires that you would want to see transformed into concrete reality. And to do that you need money. Since money does not buy you love, then I would rather have money if I did'nt have love. After all love will only last until you continue feeding it with money. Just keep telling your boyfriend/girlifiend week in week out that you cannot take them anywhere because you are broke, just tell them that there is nothing to eat in the fridge, or that they have to contribute to the rent, because you are broke, and you will see how long their love will last!
I don't agree with you CD. There are so many clever people (open minds), and definitely the ones you mentioned are not among them. There are so many categories of clever thinkers...would that classify them as the open minds referred to in this thread? Thomas Aquinas never changed anything about our way of life, but Einstein did, so did Marconi, and so many others .....the philosophers of our own time. Where do you put those? Or do these have closed minds, or maybe no minds at all?
