Oh here's another Antonio but shortened to Anton.......yes you guessed where that Antcus came from, the first three letters of my name and of my surname!! While you're at it, just let me tell you that I am interested in buying a house in Spain, possibly in Almeira. Any comments please??
Hi Sofija, my intention was to make you laugh when you realise that such a small spelling mistake can make such a big difference to the meaning of the sentence. Yes I laughed too, and I hope you did too.
OOPS my mistake this tima, not Sofia but Sofija, really sorry about that. You see in Malta we write your name as Sufija....another version I suppose...and now you will want to know what it translates to...well you will have to ask another maltese CS contributor for that.!!!!!!!!
Well Sofia, before you can find a fairy "tail" you have to find a fairy, which is not such a simple thing these days!
But keep on searching.... and when you do, just tell me what a fairy "tail" looks like. I would imagine it more like a peacock's, but could be small and ugly like that of a rat!
CHOOSE and CHOSE both exist, and both are verbs the difference being CHOOSE is present....I choose you any time over the competition CHOSE is in the past tense. He chose to get married ten years ago.
Ok Cathy I am with you there, the more the merrier, but this is the point. This is not "the more the merrier" situation, but one person's name appearing across the uploaded page.
I would like to see, like you, many DIFFERENT contribitors as thread starters, but not one person taking over the entire CS forum.
Out of sheer prudence, space should be allowed for everybody.
I am fascinated by divorced people who want to get married again. It surprises me to be honest. I mean the marriage vows are quite clear - 'till dead do us part' surely after divorce a person would have real trouble repeating these lines all over again, surely its more well ' i do take you, as long as it works out and we survive together till death. If you were getting insurance or a bank loan they would penalise you heavily for the lack of success first time round. Now don't get me wrong i am not against divorce or suggesting that people stay in loveless marriages. I am just surprised that people still keen to give it another go.
Let me start from the words "till death do us part". A very beautiful statement, but flawed from the start, because people change with time. life is like circumstances and politics....they may be good at any one time, but flawed or irrelevant a few years later. So promising "till death do us part" is making a promise into an unknown future, which if said, may not be kept.
I made that promise, and held it for 34 years, till death did us part. After that experience, I am definitely not prepared to make such a promise ever again!!
Regarding people who have just seperated or divorced and go ahead and say that again, I can only say one thing....they are people who never learn from their mistakes, and repeat their mistakes over and over again. they are the people run over by emotion, but by no sense of reasoning or logic. They look ahead, but never back, to see the devatation that they have left behind, in their life and in the life of those who have crossed their path and their lives.
Yes, happiness can be found without resorting to such promises or marriage. In fact I believe that when love holds two people together, instead of a piece of paper, that love is purer and stronger.
Well it is obvious that if you can say your opinion on the CS forum, so can all the other contributors and readers, who can FREELY show their dismay to others about the "pirating" of the entire CS forum by one person or two maybe.
I for one, am not objecting to the contents of any one thread, in which case I would complain to the moderators, but at the behaviour of individuals who think that they "own" the forum.
And from what I have been observing, I may have hit the nail on the head, if the contributor in question has a head!!
The point I was trying to make, and I hope I have made, is that it is entirely unfair to have a very small number of persons start an innumerable number of useless and stupid threads, in the hope of getting attention. I myself answer most threads, I am not against anybody answering to posts, but I must say that I feel embarassed to see one or two people literally hijack the CS forum.
This is what is keeping back the "shy" ones from contributing. They are really left with no space for themselves. That is unethical behaviour, no matter what they think of themselves!!
Any courageous RUSTY KNIGHTS out there who would like to continue this story. Don't be shy, on this forum we are ready for everything, so far as we can have a good laugh. LOL
In a world where people interact, there is no such thing as a guaranteed succees. No opportunity can safely reach your shores just because you want it. there are always the third parties that get in the way.
A good opportunity which really depends very little on personal ability is the "luck" of knowing the right people at the right time......like a cabinet minister, who helps you to take a government tender at a higher tender price, for an inferior product, from which one makes millions profit. That is opportunity. The choice that precedes that is. Should one go for such opportunities or not?
Actually Smoky, your idea of giving them beer is the most fantastic idea I have ever heard so far. It is the exact equivalent of giving rope to somebody to hang himself. But seriously, if these slugs die enjoying a beer, then it is good luck to them. It must be a very pleasant death. Just like someone dying during a bonk I guess!!
I would do exactly what you have written word for word ..really!
After dinner I would kindly point to the lady that all the food she has been eating that evening has produced a rather visible bulge in her tummy area, which if left untreated, would look very ugly the following morning. So I would ask her to go up to my bedroom, lie down on my bed for me to iron out that unsightly belly bulge, before going to sleep. I would assure her that this together with other body massages were free with the meal, and were traditional house rituals!
All the more reason why you should give that slug a chance.
Oh, and food chains are for the animal kingdom.
If we were civilised enough, we would not contemplate killing (taking away the only life of that animal) just to have the pleasure of eating its flesh. It makes me shiver to think that there are still such barbarians around called butchers, who become rich killing animals, spilling the blood of innocent animals on the floor, and selling their flesh, just to fill their pockets. And to think that it is not the first time that after being served as food, the flesh is thrown away uneaten. Just think why that animal had to die....to be thrown away!!!
Ok so you're all going to jump at me, and tell me to piss off, but don't any of you believe in luck? If two guys did the same job diligently side by side, got the same pay, but one just won the lottery, which allowed him to study and make it to the top, what do you call this? Being struck down by lightening?????
What do you call the case of two guys, both clever, one living in a country without opportunities and the other one in a country full of opportunities? Who has the bigger chance of living a successful and comfortable life? No prizes for guessing.
The impact was rather violent but this helped to free the jammed and rusty joints of Rusty, who was feeling very helpless at this stage.
It was at this point that he realised that his dangly bits had been trapped at the wrong angle and were resembling more a pair of aubergines than anything else known to man.
He wanted to get to the door to see who wanted to pay him a visit at such an hour of the morning, but realised that he had to grab something and put it around him before getting to the door.
WATER POWERED VEHICLES !!
Do you believe it will be possible in the near future to run vehicles on water? The technology is already available.
