confused about the vaccine
I hear on the news....or at least they make it sound like...that if you are vaccinated you will not spread the virus. I literally just heard a report about the potential for spreading the virus in the Olympic games. They said that 80% of the athletes have been vaccinated and there was not much of a concern there for the spreading of the virus...but the audience was on average only 20% vaccinated...and that is where the real threat of spreading came from.As far as I know, the vaccine only helped with mitigating the symptoms of the virus, but you could still get it. So in essence, a vaccinated person could indeed have the virus, spread it....and not even know they were spreading it because they were not suffering from the symptoms. I am not a brain surgeon...but, wouldn't that make them more of a risk for spreading it? I mean, at least the unvaccinated knew they were sick and would not be out in public areas....hence, spreading it less.

In my book, just a little more confusion.
Hopefully when England opens up....it is fine. One would think that they have enough data at this point (with other nations opening up) to make a fairly educated decision on the matter. If so, maybe the virus, as it stands today, is something not as concerning as one would think. I know, there are doctors that are against it...however, it still sounds like England will be reopening. ...leading me to think that there are enough in the medical community who have informed Mr. Johnson to go ahead as planned.
I will admit, I know several people who have gotten the vaccine and nothing has happen to them other than a sore arm....and after the second dose, they did get a little weak and tired but nothing two days of R&R did not cure. From my first hand experience, there is no big concern about taking the vaccine, but I am not doctor either. ...and things are still a bit early in this whole process. So in time, if this virus is still in existence, I am not opposed to it. But, I would just like a little more time to see what the best option is.
Clearly some countries were ready to go with vaccines, others had effective test and trace strategies in place, some reduced the impact through border controls and other physical mechanisms.
Why didn't we all combine knowledge and other resources and develop a synergistic, co-ordinated, centralised system in the interests of all countries and peoples?
I suppose that would be one good reason to find out the origin of this virus...to figure out why it got to the point it is today and why there were not preventive measures put in place early enough to prevent this. ...especially if there was scientific data to forecast something like this.
now, one can speculate and go into all sorts of directions here....but....the exact scientific data to forecast these events would be critical to start with I would suppose.
The virus out and about is one thing....but preventing something like this in the future is another.
I don't think we can rely upon Boris Johnson making the best decisions. His eagerness to reopen the economy has been an expensive mistake, costing us more in the long run.
Having got this far with the vaccination programme his decision to reopen on July 19th come what may, could jeopardise the progress we have made.
I don't think any of the other UK countries are opening up next week. As Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland each have some level of independence, we can use more cautious strategies.
Let's say that what you say is true....then the "why" would be?
...is it because of sheer ignorance things were able to progress as is?
or
....something more....like an agenda or something?
or
...something completely different?
I can see the economic motivation being an important factor. But for him to wait as long as he did....tells me that more than just the economics are at play with his decision, otherwise, (I would think) he would have reopened immediately when the first major country open their doors for business again.
Just thought I I'd let you know that I was watching TV here10 minutes ago and the french channel here said that Macron has made it mandatory for everyone to produce 'Health card' if wanting to visit bars, restaurants malls etc. Airports and other facilities are obviously included..The health card obviously states that one is vaxed.
So i think the speculations has now turned to facts.
Luckily I had my poke last week on Wednesday as was informed no vax no flight. No choice.
He could visit her ONLY if he produced Proof of being "vaxed".
Which also makes it disinformation or fibbing at the very least .... for authorities to loosely use the word "immune" when it does not ...
Here is a simplified explanation, I found it easy to understand.
I've also heard what Micron has suggested but....never heard it from Macron himself!
Same here, "they" say, "he" said...but...the politicians are hiding in the shadows...
Estoy de acuerdo contigo
I remain open to the possibility that is exactly what those who released the virus wanted to know. Do the humans have a global response plan in place? In all honesty we still don't. The test run was a success and the way is clear to release a 'virus of consequence' rather than the minor 'virus of concern' we are dealing with.
That said I also remain open to the possibility it was an accidental release by a US or French based military contractor and transported to Wuhan as China claims during the Wuhan military games. I specify France or the US because exhumations in both countries of people who supposedly died of pneumonia well before the virus emerged in China found Covid19 in bodies in both France and the US of people who had died in the early fall. So it is not as simple as blame China.
No enforceable law in the US prohibits making a virus on private property. There are over 200 labs in the US rated as having P4 level containment where it could be done somewhat safely. There are literally thousands of other labs in the US that have the equipment to make a virus of their own, but no containment capability. Indeed all of the equipment needed from electron microscopes on down is available for by Internet purchase and can be delivered legally and installed in a private home. Gosh only knows how many other places in South America, Canada or Europe also have the capability to make a new virus.
Meanwhile the US will probably not get mandatory vaccination orders. It does not serve the Democrat need. Most of the people in the US who died of Covid this past week were Republicans and none of them had the vaccine.
As to the vaccine being there years before the virus, of course it was, THE FORMULA was. You don't reinvent the wheel every time a new form of transport is developed you ADAPT it. Or if you prefer, you substitute coffee for chocolate flavouring when making a cake, and you follow the recipe.
As a side note, I just heard somebody got vaccinated...I believe it was Mederna one....and he developed Bell's Palsy the next day after being vaccinated. He went back in where he received the vaccine and they informed him that he was experiencing a side effect that 1 out of every 1000 get.
Now Bell's Palsy most of the time is nothing too serious, people usually recover 100%.
But, 1 out of 1000...is pretty significant? If you think of the millions who have gotten the vaccine and the 1000's or more who got Bell's Palsy....wouldn't that warrant being mentioned as a potential side effect?
I have never heard it as a potential side effect...not saying it is not being mentioned as one....but if it is not being mentioned as one....kind of makes me wonder what other side effects are not being mentioned.
One could still argue, they are indeed unknowingly still spreading the virus though.
Somebody speculated (I believe speculated...because I did not see any sort of scientific evidence to back it up)....but they speculated that the vaccinated are spreading this new strain of virus. Makes me wonder. Is that possible with that vaccine...have they altered the virus when it enters them....and then they spread that altered virus.
Sounds like something plausible to me. ...but I don't know.
Then I would pose to you the same thing I responded to Island Girl about....
It might be a lower viral load...but they still have the virus and they more than likely are unknowingly spreading it.
....and is it possible that the vaccine within people are changing the virus within them and spreading it to others (the changed virus)?
...just some food for thought
One more question....just because the virus is at a lower level...does that make it okay for them to unknowingly pass it along?
I know....what is the alternative.
Well...in time, I think we will have a better understanding of that I would suppose.
On the flipside of that comment.
They were interviewing a guy on CNN...a guy who wrote about Trump on his election. The host asked him what was the #1 thing that made Trump lose his election. The writer said, "Covid."
So, with that said, the virus was good for the Democrats.
Just a personal note here....does it mean anything or not... .....but I remember when this virus was first being talked about here on the blogs and there was talk about the 2019 Military Games in Wuhan. I have never heard of them before and decided to check it out. I must admit, I was like a moth to a flame watching the opening for them. The Chinese put on an opening for that like I have never seen before in my life....it was spectacular. Perhaps a showing of their place in the world.
Thank you for sharing the side effects you know of with others. Maybe a more vivid picture can be painted.
My family, friends and acquaintances who are aware of all those things I've mentioned above won't get the vax!
Also, using logic, if their said "vaccines" were to protect the population, why would they offer money for you to take it?
And now...they want to go to people's houses and force them to have it!!
In Europe, they want to take your freedom away by imposing restrictions to the invaxxed people.
In France they had some manifestations in Paris yesterday because of it.
Which will be followed by Spain very soon.

CRISPR Breakthrough Blocks SARS-CoV-2 Virus Replication In Early Lab Tests
AFP 14 JULY 2021
Scientists have used CRISPR gene-editing technology to successfully block the transmission of the SARS-CoV-2 virus in infected human cells, according to research released Tuesday that could pave the way for COVID-19 treatments.
Writing in the journal Nature Communications, researchers in Australia said the tool was effective against viral transmissions in lab tests, adding that they hoped to begin animal trials soon.

I didn't suspect Covid (or Any infectious disease) due to lack of fever -
I figured it may've been brought on by abnormally Extreme sedentary lockdown lifestyle.
Reasons to question sedentary lifestyle hypothesis -
It's improved Remarkably(!!) without much lockdown lifestyle change. ...
I discovered covid doesn't Always produce fever. ... (That's a Biggie.)

yes mandatory???
All three Covid vaccines are currently authorized for distribution in the U.S. on an emergency basis, but none of them have received full approval from the Food and Drug Administration yet. Full approval would allow the drugmakers to market the shots directly to consumers and give employers more flexibility in mandating them.
Low-Dose Aspirin May Help Shield You From COVID-19
By Robert Preidt and Ernie Mundell
HealthDay Reporters
MONDAY, March 15, 2021
(HealthDay News) -- It's already being taken by millions to help ward off heart issues, and now preliminary research hints that daily low-dose aspirin might also cut your odds of contracting COVID-19.
As the Israeli research team noted, aspirin is an anti-inflammatory and previous studies have shown that it may help the immune system combat some viral infections. According to the researchers, aspirin was widely used during the 1918 Spanish Influenza pandemic, several decades before its activity against RNA viruses was confirmed.
All of this prompted the team to investigate whether taking daily low-dose aspirin might reduce COVID-19 susceptibility, as well as the length of illness if infection does occur.
The dose used in Israel was 75 milligrams (mg); low-dose aspirin in the United States is typically a bit higher, at 81 mg.
The research was led by Eli Magen, from the Barzilai Medical Center in Ashkelon, Israel. His team tracked data on nearly 10,500 people who were tested for COVID-19 during the first wave of the pandemic in Israel, from February to the end of June of last year.
Because the study was a look back at prior data, it wasn't designed to show cause-and-effect, only associations. But Magen's group found that people who'd already been taking low-dose aspirin to reduce their risk of heart disease had a 29% lower risk of contracting COVID-19 compared to those who didn't take aspirin, and that rates of aspirin use were much lower among COVID-19 patients than among those who didn't get infected.
Among people who did get COVID-19, the time it took for SARS-CoV-2 PCR test results to go from positive to negative was significantly shorter among those who used aspirin, and the duration of their disease was two-three days shorter, depending upon preexisting health conditions.
"This observation of the possible beneficial effect of low doses of aspirin on COVID-19 infection is preliminary but seems very promising," Magen said in a news release from Bar-Ilan University.
