If the Bible is correct...
That would mean that there is something alive and conscious around us at all times that is undetectable by us.What if the Bible is in fact true?
Prayers are heard and pondered by this invisible life force and then determined if they shall be answered or not.
Our every move and thoughts being recorded and will be used for our judgement.
"God" as he/she/it is called knows all, including our future.
Can billions of people over thousands of years be that gullible into believing something that is in fact not real? ...seems hardly possible.
Has modern society forgotten about this being/force and will we be reminded?
Actually, I do not know for a fact...but there are times that it seems like in fact prayers are answered....etc...

As far as it being an illusion...
That I can give a comment on.
You might be right about that, this life is an illusion. The Bible does state we have eternal life. Basically what we do in this current life determines if we get passage into heaven or not. So with that being said, one could look at this life as an illusion...as in, the true meaning to our eternal life does not sole rely on this current life we have.
Hmm, that is pretty deep stuff there Robert...not about the believer and the skeptic, but about Noah's dog.
However, great quote about a skeptic and believer.
and
and
so no need to use sign language with me
Just as well though I am telepathic and know exactly what you're NOT saying
Reminds of a lady I went out with for a few days. She was really good at giving me sign language, here specialty to me was the One Finger Salute.

hopefully your next lady will be sending you more welcoming signs ..
Sometimes Belief and Fact do not match with each other.
"The Belief says that the Earth is at the center of all the planets, with the Sun and all other planets orbiting the Earth. The Earth is not round but flat."
If Belief brings about good changes in our nature then it is very good to have faith.
But if faith or worship done only with the aim of pleasing God, can never bring good change in us. Worship or belief done with the wrong motive, destroys the common-sense inside us.
If faith in God develops in us the qualities of kindness, compassion, tolerance, equality, honesty, diligence, decency, etc., then surely everyone should have faith in God.
That is the purpose of this blog....to explore the possibility that there is indeed a "God"....and what that would mean.
I do not know for certain if there is a God or not...however, I can point to certain events in my life that can be attributed to a God existing.
You are right with your comment, if there is no God, the convincing or the manipulation in a society to trick them into believing so, can indeed produce results in which you describe. However, in your statement, I get the impression from it that you are certain there is no God. How are you so certain and can you make me certain too?
lol
You and I have always had similar views regarding spiritual stuff.
Why should an invisible entity that nobody has ever seen - only in their dreams! - come between us?
I know
lol
Here, I'm trying to figure out what F-her means.
Anyways, yeah if a lady is not happy in her marriage, maybe she's already told the dude she's married to, and she's looking to get action with you. OR maybe the guy messed around on her, and now she wants to get with you, to get even with him. Yeah! Cool, huh?
What's all this Getting It On stuff got to do with The Bible?
I hadn't washed my car for sooo long, the cobwebs on the tires were so tough, they wouldnt' let the tires roll.
YIKES!
The Haunted Car!
time for me to go for now. Time for me to get my afternoon nap, then my dog gives me a massage later when he walks on my back.
See ya later. Take care.
She's a hot one today....CW and the weather.
keep in mind that the first four books of the new testament will seem repetitious at times should you read the bible. Mathew, Mark, Luke, and John were all very close to Jesus as some of his disciples. they are similar, sometimes the same, because they are the perceptions according to each one. they are there because four people give pretty much the same account of many things. the Synoptic Gospels. the standard bible today is about 93% or better, accurate with the dead sea scrolls.
it's up to each individual what to believe or not. the material is available to most. if judgement day is a worry to any one pondering, i don't think,"i didn't know" is going to work too well.
but what if God said to you, you did not seek enough to find....
what then would you say to him?

I would hope that answer satisfies him!

you don't have to answer if you rather not because its more about YOU then the topic....
But are you saying you chose not to believe? if yes, then I'm puzzled and confused.
Who would chose not to believe in anything or someone good?

Take the Shroud of Turin for example, that was evidence of Jesus, until they were able to use carbon dating to age it and it turned out it's only about 500 years old, so couldn't be of Jesus!

If you want to believe with your eyes I suppose it would be pretty pointless saying there's evidence to be found in what you DON'T see also....for example, where is the body of Jesus? if not risen like the Bible says.
Now time I take a leaf out of your book and go tidy up my house
Onee water Brings Life,
one water brings death
The death water is what you currently see now, if you say this world is the life you know not what is there,
It has NEVER been invisible, if that was true you would have no soul, for it is the soul that reveals All.
You would have sseeen it as a child, when you had an accident, cartoons describe it too albeit poorly, but creates an example of after an accident too, like a halo.
100% you will not be able to google about, the water that Brings Life, and see a genuine picture of My Life Essence.
I testify with the deepest part of my soul, I have seen...
To kind of prove your point, as I was reading it, my mind went back to an article I read about a hospital emergency room. I might be mixing/mistaking the fine details of the article here, because I read it years ago. But, it went something like this: There was a scientific study done in one of those rooms where people had died and were brought back to life. The study had a number that was in the room that could only be seen from a ceiling vantage point. It was proven that the patients who had died, did indeed see this number when they had described an out of body experience.
Meaning...there is something more to us than just our body. And I agree with you Tame about it being our soul.
