safe today
For those of you who like a little drama, I have a dramatic event about to take place today. I recently purchased an older home where the basement was not exactly the most inviting environment. The previous owner bought it in 1954 from an elderly gentleman who owned the local store. The previous owner was up there in age and her son didn't have any interest in the contents in the place. However, they did go through some things up stairs and never made it in the basement. After buying the place, I discovered a huge locked safe in the basement.
I talked to a locksmith, he said he has cracked 100's of these safes and has only found worthless paper.
So...I am not expecting much...but maybe a bit of drama. 
Now that I have sold the house, it has become time to do some cracking. The locksmith recommend that I cut the side wall out of it....so....I am heading to the store to buy a metal cutter. Any guesses as to what I will find inside?
I suspect it will be worthless papers.
But, in the lower right corner I am betting I find one 1937 silver quarter....worth approximately $6. So, the cost of my metal cutter and my time will not be recovered.

I should have access to whatever contents by this evening. I will let you know what was in there.
Wish you the best with opening the safe...I'd be curious but skeptic at the same time..just wear a gloves in case.

maybe you'll find a service station hamburger in the safe. And who knows? With all the preservatives in them burgers, it might just still be edible.
You might also find a Chastity Belt, or maybe a laptop computer?
and that was for just a WEEK. Marriage, phew. Billions at least. Only Trump could really afford you.

Pepps....I added a picture of the find. There is about 7 1/2 pounds of silver, with a silver value of close to $2000.00.
