Competition, who can write the longest sequence of rhyme using only one entry per time per letter in the alphabet. e.g. collide and cried is not allowed, just use one. I got through 13/26 letters in this one. Wonder if at, bat, cat could go more? Over to you if you can beat 13..
I wrote this one 4-19-2011 just by basically finger picking at some chords on the guitar, then I started writing and rearranging the sound.
I find that life can f*ck you, leave you all alone,I never asked to be here, I never knew I would, I never changed my world, you came into my life miraculously as one that I could see, I fell in love, instantly ,,, and its always been,,, just you and
Whats the meaning of a poem? Something noone can understand? A crypic message lost in meaning, for those that need it most, so we write words that only we can see, decipher it how it should be? I wonder why? Its not shakespere, its just how it is,,
Pondering on the old and the new. Best wishes to all !

I once kept a crab as a pet but had not yet chosen its name I wished to teach it how to speak or at least emit a small squeak So finally we got to chat! I questioned it: “do you in fact, move yourself sideways or forwards?” Quoth it,
Tomorrow ever full of hope can never be for it has no place on earth yet dwells somewhere ‘twixt dream and expectation It has no being to call its own
I use to watch a reality show and singles meeting singles but it was people from the UK. I love accents and I find them attractive. The girls on the show who meet the new guys and if they liked them or felt they were a match or had things in common they would use the phrase "He's a bit of me"
Hope is the birthplace of our dreams; it’s perched in our souls. Hope sings an eternal song avoiding all impossibilities with a returning option. Hope is like an undistinguished flame that shouldn’t ever fully burn out. Hope allows us to not hit r

As I listen to the rain drops,,falling on my roof, lost in contemplation, not being aloof, just thinking about existance, how they reflect it all,, they are here, they fall, they cease to exist,,, just like us all,, a moment in time, its all that we
A trillion years have come and gone, in all eternity it was not that long, gone in a blink, no time to think,, do we swim or do we sink?,,,are we too thin or did we get fatter,, who won the last game?,,, does it matter? Where we came from, we all wa

The famous Blue Mountains World Heritage Area, about 60 km west of Sydney. The "Blue" colour is caused by the refraction of sunlight through a very fine vapour of eucalyptus oil given off by thousands of trees in the heat of the day.
Just a silly little poem about us girls and our eye makeup
Merry Christmas everyone!
* The popular dating website. ** An outer South West Sydney suburb. *** An outer South West Sydney (semi rural) suburb. **** TAB (Totalisator Agency Board) betting shop. ***** Winx - very famous Australian racehorse. ****** Trainer of Winx ******* Poker Machines ^ Just sticking up for the trots (harness races). I would never run down Winx, who is undeniably the World's Best Racehorse. (What I mean, in the context of this poem, is that Winx is just so incredibly good, that she always starts at short odds; and is therefore not a viable betting proposition). The war that is surely coming to the world.
Imagine we are just a thought? What would you be?, A millonaire?, A captain at sea?,,, Anything you wanted to be, to fly to the stars?, to land on the moon?, or to be with someone you love? too soon?,,life is not wrong, or its not right

We were all built in his image, but none of us are built the same.
This was written one Christmas while ill with the flu. After the past couple of years, it would be nice to hear about the regular old flu. May this bring a good chuckle to you and may you all have a very Merry/Happy Christmas!
Poem about accusations and superstitions and leaving ancient worries behind. Seeking solitude in nature always refreshes my inner sense of peace and tranquility. Much of modern society is conducted under the auspices of surveillance and security. Thanks to all the great poets, past and present, that have made CS a haven for many to explore and share a common love for poetry and free expression of thoughts that generate so much passion and feeling. Thanks to all my fellow poets for helping me to reach my '600' poem milestone. I started writing poetry on this site ten years ago after a particularly painful breakup and I have never looked back.
Just reposting my poem as its appropriate for the season. May all of you have a Blessed season and a really Bright New Year.

This one I wrote 12-20-2021. I'm hoping this to be a good sign, for I really haven't written anything "wild, metal, hard and heavy" in quite a while! Who knows, I may play on stage once more? lol For the sad song lovers, fear not. I have many of those I'll sling on here next year (with some metal, too)! Let your hair down and enjoy the holidays! Merry Christmas!!

What say you to this!I believe most people will shy away from a reply here, because of being afraid to speak out against what's in front of them. So it go'es to show that fear tactics work. I believe I'm here for a reason, not too sure what that reason is, but I'll not let fear interupt what I feel needs to be said.

If I could say the words I think My tongue may over work and bust; I'd make Old Shakespeare arise and say, "What varlot now disturbs my dust?" If I could do the things which I Am simply aching to perform; I'd rope the lightning and I'd jerk,
I write Cowboy poetry and this poem is based on a true event. One that took place in the two room country school that my father went attended many years ago.
