knowledge

Truth doesn't always shine
in the rise of dawn

Nor in the smile of innocence

It doesn't light up
in the beauty of a new bud

nor reside in the purity of my heart

It sometimes crawl
in the shadows of the dark

sits in the tirade of time

dance in bitterness of disappointments

And from my sanity it runs.

My discovery
of your brutal and selfish world
is killing me.

silent void

It is the silence.
Immanent void that as a thief
steals the breath from my utterance,
the blood from my lips,
the salt from my tears.

Yes, silence.
Once welcomed companion,
sanctuary from the illiterate clamor of life
turned consuming specter
transforming sweet dreams to aberration.

It is a lonely poet that can describe
the timbre of the clocks gait,
the meter of the drops as they fall,
the resonance of sobbing echoed,
from within once joyous walls.

You are but a moment away,
yet in your place the silence does swell
exchanging your warm aftershave
with frigid fragrance,
rancid reminder of your absence.

my love, my life, be not long away
for without the gentle touch of your voice,
the laughter of your smile,
I am abandoned to the cold love
of silence.

Lonely (5-7-5)

Embedded image from another site

Wine drenched lonely nights
Eyes lost in misty dreaming
Captured drops of time

Held in blue etched skies
Tears shed for lost love’s sweetness
Tides of stone gray seas

Engulf our sadness
While we bathe in deep waters
Measured in our pain

Silly Heart

Stupid heart of mine!
Don't you know
That there are places you should
Not go...
That store there...
Yes the one with the discount sign
Look closely
You will see, they are divorced unhappily.
And down that street,
Yes, where he said to meet
That is smack in the middle of love em and leave em town
C'mon stupid heart,
Just turn around.
No do not linger...

dead love

In the graveyard
of empty promises
one of broken hearts
Hands touching midnight
The bell tolls
Soul wrenching
Touching darkness

Cold fingers of ice
In frozen tears
steel in coldness
touching skin
Cries in the deepest
depths of hell

Crawling nightmares confused
A cauldron
of boiling fear
Dripping with agony
In water
Dark madness

A blank page of nothing
Crawling searching
The lost souls
A cloud
in breathing
I exist

Strangling
gasping breath
Hurt squeezing out
Life of happiness
Floating
Dark dreams

An empty shell
Bones rattling
Crawling in the skin
The Devil's touch
Cold to the bone

Tainted cold poison
In becoming
The walking dead
I hide
in the shadows

Lost dreams
Following love
A restless soul
Love so cruel
Dead remains

Emotion ending
My end
a withered
black rose
The heart
Died

tir na nog [land of forever youth] part one

The story begins
a long long time ago
in the emerald isle
land of forever green
one day while out hunting
Oisin who belonged
to an old Irish
ancient warrior tribe
called the Fianna

spied the most amazingly beautiful
young woman
long red glistening
golden flowing
in the sunlight
her hair
amazing beautiful
dazzling in the sun's reflection
casting magically
in golden light
appearing like an angel

floating across
the ground
on a white shining
silver ivory
horse hitting a cluster
of stones
in the field
sending sparks flying
into the air

as she spoke
in a small soft sweet
tender voice
sounding of music
plucking the string
of a beautiful harp
she began by saying
my father
is the king
of Tir Na Nog

Oisin stepped forward
from the group of hunters
in order
to welcome her
as their eyes met
sparkling beautiful
his insides
in one glance
they fell in love
she looked at him saying
come with me
to Tir Na Nog
to the land
of forever young

Niamh pleaded
with her new found love
totally smitten
within a moments hesitation
Oisin swung up behind
the beautiful maiden
upon the back
of the white horse

together they
crossed the sea
to Tir Na Nog
having grown up
in the emerald isle
land of the teddy bear
Oisin he was spellbound
in his eyes
it shone in sheer disbelief
such a beautiful land
ever existed

gazing upon this land
he was stunned
as his mouth
fell open in awe
dazzling beautiful
all around him
in this enchanting
magical land
they both built
a life together

spending each day exploring
sitting upon the back
of thee white mare
their love grew deeper
in sharing such beauty
enchanting in every way
was her homeland
yet deep down inside
a small part of Oisin's soul
feelings of loneliness
such feelings
were unheard of
in Tir Na Nog

in spite of all her efforts ,
Niamh was unable
to ease Oisin's loneliness
homesick one day
he came to Niamh
saying he desired
to visit his homeland ,
missing his family
also his close
Fianna friends

she could not
stop him
as his desire
was to strong
she agreed to his pleas
she could not
hold him back
saying on your return
to Ireland
upon the white mare
what ever you do
never let your foot
touch the soil
of the emerald isle

smiling with
so much love
he kissed her gently
on the lips
holding her gently
in his arms
as he was leaving
blowing her a kiss
promising to return shortly
jumping on the white horse
smiling waved to her
heading across the sea
to the land
of his birth

soon the white mares hooves
touched upon Irish soil
Oisin began to see
how much the land
with everything around
it had changed
all his family
also his friends
had passed away.

tir na nog [part two]

no longer was there
a grand castle
instead it was completely
covered in ivy
almost in ruins
he was so caught up
in his emotion
with heavy feelings
of grief
deep down inside
he forgot to care
for the beautiful
white horse

in spite of her hunger and fatigue
she continued to respond
to her riders request
with a sad and lead heavy heart
he turned towards the sea
to head back
to his love
in Tir Na Nog

as he was approaching the sea
he came across
a group of men
working in the fields
as the mare
reached the group
in her fatigue
she began stumbling
clipping her hooves
of a stone
he bent down
to pick up a rock
planning to take it with him
to Tir Na Nog
as a keepsake
full sure it would
help ease his sadness

taking a little piece
of his homeland
back with him
but as his hand
grasped the stone
loosing his balance
falling to the ground
within moments
he began aging 300 years
without her rider
the horse reared
on her two front legs
rushed towards the ocean
returning to Tir Na Nog
to her beloved Niamh

as the men
in the fields
they witnessed this
their eyes wide
with amazement
at first they saw
a young man
before their eyes
transforming growing older
they also saw
an old plow horse
changing as it neared the sea
into the most beautiful
silver white mare
that they had ever seen

as the came men
walked across
to Oisin's aid
they carried this
a feeble white
haired old man
to St Patrick
when Oisin met St Patrick
he began telling him
about his family and his Fianna friends
whom had disappeared
300 years before

then he began telling
the story
of the magical land and his love
tears rolling down his cheeks
broken hearted
in the magical land
of Tir Na Nog

just as he was ending
the story
in great weariness
with the pain
inside his heart
swept completely
away in feelings
of painful emotion
closing his eyes
he fell into
eternal slumber

even to this very day
fishermen and lighthouse keepers
they sometimes
see on foggy nights
when the moon
is full face
a shimmering white horse dancing
on the top of the waves
along the shores
of Ireland
Niamh the red haired maiden
still rides the horse
forever searching
for her lost love ,
her soul
will never rest
until she finds
her beautiful Oisin
in her his love never died .

the trust game

Trust me you say? I trust you with my life. Do this for me you say, make your self vonerable to my way,yet why should I? You want my total vonerability?, yet you cant give me yours. Love is built on trust, what a joke! Trust is earned through deeds unbroken. You say trust me,yet you don't, why continue this silly game?, when played nothing is gained, only sarrow and broken hearts remain.

About this poem:
just thinking how internet dating seem to be built on blind trust, yet no one truly can trust any one thanks to all the scammers. If a man truly wants my trust then he must show himself in person to me first. I have yet to meet any of the so called romancers

Fading into black

Embedded image from another site

Lost in the wilderness
I can't look back
the sky is dark
fading to black.

A knife in my heart
hard to pull out
it cuts so deep
but I refuse to shout.

Where is the love?
blood dripping to dirt
now i feel nothing
but pain and hurt.

Afraid I stumble and fall
Dear Lord I pray
this is not the end
this world a shade of gray.

I hear the reaper coming around
to put me six feet under
the hard cold ground
clouds lightning and thunder.

Lord, the way I have lost
I'm running out of time
I'll do whatever to pay the cost
the highest mountain I will climb.

Bring my lady into my arms
help me get back on track
without her my life is over
everything fading into black...

Fire

It often gives warmth and comfort but now
for me, it serves a different purpose.
This is a purging, a cleansing by fire
and everything must burn like me for you!
Love letters, old photographs, the clothes you
bought me, the watch, all your gifts, everything
you've given me must be destroyed! And were I not
to suffer terrible pain and be consumed by it's flame,
I too would enter, if only to quell this burning desire
I have for you and these thoughts and memories
seared in my mind for all eternity!
