~she has a past too~

Why did you stop her
In the middle of her say
Her heart is still heavy
That pain needs a way.

Yet you focus on words you choose not to hear
It's not about you, it's a loss that was dear.

In your love there's a friendship that needs to be seen
There'll be times when she talks, it's not to be mean.

I've seen it before, his thumbs in the belt
If you never been there, you can't know how it felt
Those cards they were given, hand has been dealt.

So take out your thumbs and open your arms
Listen to her words as you kiss away her tears
It's time to be holding, holding her close
She's there at your side, expressing the most!

lost in love

oh these winds
i can feel
them shifting
deep inside
the very heart

over the soul
i began to feel
a cold wind
begins a blowing
dealing with love
in the heart

tell me what
i should do
standing hand
hand on
my very heart
holding out
my hands
take this walk
with me sweetheart

i follow
your path
walking down
golden cobbles
dazzling everywhere
each step
towards you

i have reached
my highest mountain
it has taken
a lifetime
finding you
the rarest treasure
shouting to
the world
i am a millionaire

she who will
stand and fight
along side me
then truly
i have
everything
kissing you
my jewel
of love

just for one more day

let me reach you one more time
just for a day, just for a moment
I know it's against my better judgment
but what can I do
this is what I've become
weak, wasted, wilted,
all my cards, folded, up to no good
all I know is the whole of me
my heart, body, my soul
has died many a thousand times
never want to live, again
so I just want to know
before I go
how's life is with her
she called me you know?
you went back to her?
and I'm truly happy
for the both of you
she even told me,
as if brushing my pain
would make her feel better
that your love became stronger
better, healthier, and this time
would never, ever end
it will, last forever
you're sure of it because
after you astrayed from her
be with me
you definitely learned

you were always for her.

if only she knew every word
she uttered
was a double bladed sword
that tore and shattered my heart

but to hear from you
I just know
it will will leave me in peace
even just for a moment
for a second, just to be with you

I wouldn't trade it for the world.

Pan's tights

lost in a deep sea
the frog is loose
escaping from hell
tracking down
hopping mad
a culprit

named pork chops
who ate the pig
is on the loose again
vile threats
made on duck

calling out to everyone
his lips
on the lily trumpet
blowing heart shaped
bubbles out the rear
bringing back
the magic
with those green
smelly old tights

in hearing
whistling on the wind
under a silver moon
peter pan imposter
sweet talking candles
softly falling petals
on the hair
magically green
shades is back

the legend appears
in the ocean
a white ship sails
carrying pan's tights
like mosses
the sea will part

swallowing the ship
washing the remains ashore
along with tights
shipwrecked
on paradise

sweet smelling primroses
the rush is on
for pans tights
journey begins
bring back the bacon
enchanting love
in peter's tights

can't stop loving you

It's brazen out there
without you
unkind and even ruthless
not like I'm not used to it
on the contrary
since you left
it has become my only world
of course,
you know all too well
and why wouldn't you
you're the most emotive
of all I've known
just because I am mum
and don't come crying
doesn't mean it's has lessened
the sorrow and pain
I am carrying
I don't doubt time will heal
but I'm not sure anytime soon
for day after day
night after night
seconds even
I haven't felt any change
nor abating this wound
has ever commenced
I do write them every minute
as its comforting to say the least
for right now
I will say:

I've never stopped loving you
nor I feel, I ever will.

Why Did You Have To Go

Feeling sad and blue
It was thirty years ago that I married you
Why did you have to go
There was so much I needed to know
You would come and you would go
Leaving my heart with a hole
I never loved another man so
I always thought we would get back together
Never did I think you would fly away like a feather
Now will never be together
Maybe when we meet in heaven
Things will be better
Just know that I've always loved you
Me and you
You and me that's the way we said it would always be
Sending kisses to you in heaven xxxxx

till I breath no more

I would like to believe
that: I am free
I have a soul
yet my spirit is bound
trapped in the moments
of yesterday
swimming in the pains
of my loss
when I let go of my hopes
my dreams and my aspirations
yet as time goes by
I am still here
ensnared in the memories
of where we were,
what we did...
why can't I find my way
back to where I was
before you captured my heart
and yes, the sun may go dark
the stars may stop flickering
the moon might lose its luster
and I...
will still be alone...
hoping
waiting
till my breath accounts
for the last time.

standing alone

I am not here to judge
anymore than I have been
many a times, I could've drowned
among the dreams of the living dead
but I chose to stand up
one more time
so I know I can withstand
more sorrows, more pain
more slashes that bleed my wounds
in many a thousand pieces
if only to know
even death can't stop me
from knowing
that...yes...
I am still strong

and yet
standing all alone.

~in your eyes~

At a distance
They grace your sorrowful soul
Your pockets are filled with nothing but weight
A past that evolves life in your time.

teardrops trail, then drip off your chin.

Starts at the end
The end now begins.

Those tears that stained innocent cheeks
Crashed through your soul, leaving deep rooted stain
Stain that can colour
What life passe's your way.

Mind block grabs hold
as, you de...fend your soul
words that spew from your needed sealed lips
razor sharp blades, slashing under hips.

Hurt past, time, thrown to the air
your victim defends with defensive care
till your spew is acidic on
what they've done
for you!

The stain that you throw
it's your's......did you know
your victim know's nothing
as your soul is unleashed.

Your next set up dates
will never follow through
to a second night out
it
will never be New!

About this poem:
get over yourself! Start treating people fair, without having to put potential future mates in jeopardy of your issues! That would be like trading the best person in your life...............for a cigarette. Meaning a crutch! To keep your issues........living!

Cheers everyone and find a way past your past into your awating future.....................

Swade's try at Kickit's Challenge....

A thousand steps
walking a crooked fence,
weaving in and out
seeking comfort or defense.

Comfort or defense
from love gone wrong,
leaving pain upon pane
as smudged windows
bear fallen tears stain.

A thousand steps
walking a crooked fence
is what life has become
without love's presence.

A thousand steps
walking a crooked fence
In hope of some day
seeing this journey end
in love's rejuvenating display.

A thousand and one.... :-(

About this poem:
These two opening lines that Kickit presents has so many directions for creative thinkers to travel!! I've thoroughly enjoyed reading everyone's contributions to this unique challenge and couldn't resist adding my own little flavor to the mix.
