Miles Away

Somehow I’m forgotten, some hundred miles away
Closer to the devil, the demons in my way
Fighting hard to leave it, for my shallow grave
Is ever moving forward, my own sweet addiction I crave

God has left me, as an island slave
Pushing through the darkness, weighted by the pain
Crawling to the master, of a forgotten age
So close to winning, still some miles away

Please forgive me, weak is in my veins
It’s what I’ve grown accustomed to, when I feel this way
I can feel them coming, closer every day
Full of hate and suffering, a mirror to my name

I feel the pressure building, thin sin begins to move
Like the hands around my throat, slowly taking hold
Prayers have failed me this time, there’s nothing left to prove
The last breaths escape me, as I release my soul

The Feeling

Do you know that feeling?
That coldish feeling?
The feeling of nothing living,
The feeling of lonesome dreaming.

A feeling that speaks no words
Yet you know it’s there.
Have you ever felt it?
Do you think it’s just a myth?

It’s the meaning to sorrow,
The meaning to why a heart becomes so hollow.
The feeling that breaks all hearths
The feeling that destroys all paths.

The feeling that a killer feels,
The feeling that an orphan child has to deal.
Do you know of what I speak?
Should I give you another hint?

No I think not, if you don’t know of what I speak.
Then I would love to meet.
For a soul that hasn’t felt it,
Is the true myth
And I envy it.

But hang no more,
I’ll explain it all.
It’s that cold feeling
That gives the meaning.
It’s on that day
When you finally say
“It’s cold, it’s cold
I feel… so alone.”

Silverthrone

Need Some One To Hold

Silver shadow
And silver mist
Please hear my prayer
As I lay my head on
My pillow
Grant me my wish

Don't let me go to sleep
All alone
The night is so long
And I need some one
To hold

Silver shadow and silver mist
As I lay my head on my pillow
Grant me my wish

Let me rest gently
All through the night
Let my slumber be
Peaceful
Without dark dreams
Or beasts that haunt me

Silver shadow
And silver mist
Don't let me go to sleep all alone
The night is so long
And I am so alone
The night is so long
And I need some one to hold

Flawed Genius - Alex Higgins

You blew in like a hurricane, working the crowd into a frenzy...
with your green baize skills, you thrilled and spilled a plenty...

You toy'ed with your opponents, but even they were in awe, of your mighty cueing action, your cue was your sword...

A flawed genius you were with inner demons being your biggest rivals,
little did you say in public, you did all your talking on the tables..

You were a rebel but not in disguise, you were planning a comeback, much to everyones surprise..

So long Hurricane, blow them away elsewhere, dazzle them wherever you are, and most of all hold your head up high, your fans love you, so never do despair...

He wasn't everyones cup of tea, a flawed genius for sure, but you cannot deny...he changed the face of snooker...

In Dreams

Why can't life be the way it was
Together, you and me
Instead I wait for each night so I can close my eyes
And you can visit me in dreams
Seeming realistic and knowing I'll see
Saturated pillows when I awake for the dawn
Remembering the nights when he held me close
But they're memories, those nights are gone
I've done wrong and apologized
So what more can I do
I can't mope around, sitting in my tears
And keep crying out to be held by you
You are my first, the chosen one
That's why it's hard to part from you
With tear-filled eyes and a broken heart
I remember the things that we used to do
I still remember how things used to be
Overlooking those times you couldn't talk
You always wanted your distance
It was your way or you would walk
I never would have grew so close
I introduced you to my entire life
The people I love, my heartaches
Now I sit here hating these lonely nights
I see the type of man you have become
Bringing up my wrongs done in our past love
I'll always love you, it's hard to let go
Of what used to be, of our was
Still life can't be the way it was
Together you and me
So I'll just wait for each night so I can close my eyes
And you can love me back in dreams

this is a message only*

yesterday (saturday may 16), at some point I couldn't gain access to this site. Later, I logged on to this site and was bombarded by messages that multiple viruses had invaded my computer and messages advising me to click an area to remove said viruses. as I have had experience with this type of attempted invasion in the past, I ignored all messages, exited out of everything and then shut down my computer. turned on my computer later, ran a full security scan, everything was clean and clear. went on to connecting singles and all was kosher. no indication of anything amiss. I think that some malware installation attempt had been briefly programmed on CS by some vermin. did anyone else experience this?...hedi

As Soon As I "Rid, My Heart"!

As Soon As I "Rid My Heart"!

While looking in the mirror
my eyes were stunned to see
A person filled with sadness
glaring so hopelessly at me:

I wanted to look away
but it was time I faced the truth
to the world I may seem happy
but in reality I was really blue;

You see there were so many places
I had a desire to go
and there were so many things
I had a desire to do
And I am going to make
those desires come true
"AS SOON AS I RID, MY HEART" of you;

I searched my mind, hoping to learn
why in the first place to you I turned
The answer was bitter, but yet so sweet
I turned to you because I became weak;

This new Revelation has made me strong
I now have the Wisdom to correct my wrong
For now I know where I must look
to regain my self-esteem you took;

I must search my Soul to find the clue;
in order to know what I must do
to finally "RID, MY HEART" of you.

Now when I look in the mirror
I am grateful to see
a person filled with Joy and Happiness,
glaring back at me,

And it is all because I did
what I had to do,
And that was "TO RID, MY HEART" of you.

FROM MY HEART TO YOURS

About this poem:
I wrote this poem some 20 years ago; it was not written only to reflect the relationship blunders of my life; but a friend of mine was on drugs and was in a serious car accident; she survived, but her boyfriend died. I went to see her in the hospital, and my heart sunk when I saw the condition she was in; so I went home and wrote this poem, because I realized that it was in her heart to do drugs, and she wouldn't be able to stop until she rid her heart of that desire.

Unworthy

Unworthy

I'm lost within myself, No way out and unforgiving,
Do i exist am i alive, Why can't i find true love,
Do they just see darkness or am i invisible,
I have questions but no answers,
I have the lock but no key,

I'm full of depression and sadness but no happiness,
I act like I'm happy but no one see's what i hide deep down,
Everybody has someone out there but is there someone out there for me, I'm lost and confused,
I'm full of anger and demise but why?, I'm in a corner
all by myself and no way out, I'm trapped but don't know where i am, I have so many questions but still no answers,

Am i damned or am i just lost, Why does this have to happen to me, Why am I the one that has to feel alone and broken,
No love, No comfort and no happiness,
Its dark and cold, No warmth from another,
I'm in pieces and no one to be there to put me back together,
I will stay this way until the one true love comes,
Only then i will have the key that keeps the true me locked away.

LONELY

I have a friend by the name Lonely .Lonely is there when my day begins,And yes Lonely is there when it ends. You see Lonely understands me.Lonely knows when to wipe my tears,Lonely knows all my fears. When I think I'm up Lonely is there to bring me back down,Lonely is always around.Lonely even goes out on dates all because Lonely knows I'll wait. When Lonely and I go on vacation that's when we have the most fun, my friend Lonely and I are one. Lonely knows just where I'll be. Lonely is me.

My arms are empty

My arms are empty
They ache for you
You stood no chance
You came to soon
In such a rush
To join this world
You would not stay
Inside my womb
Where I could keep
safe and warm

I hope your in a better place
With Gods love shining from your face
A piece of me died that day with you
A piece that is forever lost

As the years pass
I see your smile
In your sisters face
Shes my special child

A gift from God
When you had gone
To help me heal
To help me smile

My arms are empty
They ache for you
My precious boy
I will always love you
