CloudySky

Depression

My heart aches
My heart breaks
Rivers of tears
Turning to lakes

Joy is missing
Emotions switching
On broken stars
I have been wishing

Make time stop
Depressions backdrop
Swirling fog
Of cloud does drop

Swirling waves
Of mind that craves
Take me back to
Those happy days

About this poem:
Not in this state of mind right now, but have been there in the past. Hard to pull yourself out of the fog when in the depths.

just because

well you can see with your eyes
that I still have survived
all your dirty little lies

and if you look close dear
it quickly will become clear
that I haven't any fear

I'm not gonna' live in your world no more
I'll not be your carpet to walk on the floor
I'll not look back as I head out the door
for I am a free man

just because you have all the money in the world
is no reason for me staying
still look mighty good like you knew you would
and that's all that I'll be saying

just because you have everything your way
I'll not be around for another day
I've sunken far enough into this decay
now I am a free man

when you neutered me just because you could
well, it knocked me for a loop
and just because I hung around with my head in the ground
ever deep into your soup

I'm leaving this life of being your mop
I'll get off now, I think it's my stop
I'm sure that I'll find my way to the top
just because I'm a free man

HORRIBLE HORRIBLE DAY TURNED TRAGIC

A horrible day at the movies today
12 shot dead another 70 hurt
was in my truck just driving down highway
little chipmunk ran out in front
saw it's brown eyes
wish I could have
the day just turned
TRAGIC.

TODAY IS THE DAY~~~~~~~~~~~~

~~~~~SUNDAY~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
God has so many promises as we need to see,
we all have the day to be ready
as His return will be soon...
We all must face the day will come as we will
be home upon a cloud in His glory of place of
eternity and clouds to hold us with His comfort..
Death is hard however, Grandma lays to rest and we
on earth will rest of her to be free from all pain
for no more suffering and to be lifted into the clouds
of His Glory and the bliss of His promise has
been lifted as he has taken Grandma with him
and if we live according to His word he will return
and have a cloud waiting for you and me as there is no promise
for a place on earth as His return will be soon
Sorry grandma, as I know you would not want us to weep as some will and the lasting as we part and say our last farewell’s you would have one word for all here as we lay you to rest~~ Be good and live your life unconditionally true to God and according to what the Bibles tells us so to give up the old and come to know your Lord the Savior as when He the Lord comes to take us we need to be ready as He will lift you up from the pain and suffering to as many wipe their tears of gladness that our Dearest Grandmother-Mother-Aunt and as My grandfather on both sides would of said a Great Mother only you Grandma Martin could do this be the wonderful step mother to so many kids~~
I and the many more will miss you so severely grandma, but each and every one of us here will hope to see you again in Heaven as you would hope that you could see us someday in a better place of a bed of roses. I hope my few Hymns were a way of telling you that Christ lives in me as you taught me so Sorry grandma... it is the hardest sometimes to let go of the ones we love so much… Good bye for now~~~~~ See you in Heaven~~
Penniless Bench
With a broken body and broken mind
Hobbles crippled into the park to sit
Daily watch feeding some crumbled old bread rinds
To a few friendly birds he'd never quit
Tattered clothing old and out of fashion
A rough, hard weathered look upon his face
His are endless days without much passion
While Passerbys glance away in disgrace
Long ago wounded and now most forgetful
His body wrecked with the passing of time
A great victory no less merciful
Listen every noon the church bells still chime
Pitiful sight whose clothes have such a stench
Sits a great hero on Penniless Bench
About this poem:
Reflective of many , old and downtrodden folks who have once served
in wartime only to be left behind by an ungrateful nation. Sad but all
too true.....
closeted crying...a real man's response
Tears in the bathroom
What can one do about tears in the bathroom?
On my side of the panel, fear and concern held me in it's grip
I tried to turn the doorknob...it was locked
I lightly tapped upon the door
No response
In a soft voice I whispered my disquiet
No reply
Abruptly, I began mumbling words of concern with rising ire
This act only increased the sobbing in number and volume
I now had become frantic
All calm reason had disappeared
I began pounding on the door
Screaming now, I demanded that she open this door
Finally, beyond the door, a cracking, woesome voice was heard
'No...go away'
Well, that did it
I ran to my toolbox and fetched a screwdriver
I shall remove that door from it's hinges, I thought
The first two of the three hinges were easily loosened
Meanwhile the crying became more frantic and much, much, louder
The last set of screws were stuck fast to the hinge
I thought, they are rounded off and rusted, can't get them out
I decided that a man's gotta' do what a man's gotta' do
So, I pried open and grabbed the top of the door
Out of control, this had become dangerously personal now
I wrenched the door free
Tearing out a section of the frame where the hinge had held fast
A loud piercing shriek came bellowing from her mouth
As our eyes met, she screamed at me
'What in the hell is wrong with you?'
Suddenly I was at a loss for words
I muttered 'I thought something was wrong...that you needed help'
'Oh my god' she said
'Yes, I need help'
'Can you mend a broken fingernail?'
About this poem:
I suppose that should anything serious ever happen to his wife, he might blow the house up around them. That'll fix it...
A Shower of Sadness...
The rain shook its hair out
Carelessly,
Showering my heart with raindrops.
Which,
As I stood in a doorway
Thinking of you,
Became
Tears.
To blinded foot they fell,
Streaming out of me into
The darkness.
Where,
Whipped up by the moons reflection
Strands of gold and silver,
Carried them away
Into oblivion.
Gone
Gone
Gone,
Lost forever.
Just like me....
The Blade
a blade
thrown threw the air
slicing her ear
sorrow was released in the air
travling around the world
never landing in her heart
hiding her face
a tear splashes
in a puddle of her fear
late at night
covered up in fright
a blade was tossed
stabbing her in the heart
falling to her knees
begging to be free
not knowing where to go
she's trying to please
a blade not of a knife
cuts her down
words that are being thrown
from the blade of the tongue
sharper then a knife
realized
was walking down the road
kicking a rock when it
bounced back and gave me a knott
was shooting arrows with a bow
hit my tire and caused a hole
looked in a mirror to comb my hair
then realized i had none.
went to the store drove a car
then forgot i didn't own one.
went back home turned on the tv
then realized i didn't have a home
turned on the light to see my wife
then realized this isn't my home
i went to the doctor
for that knott on my head
and he told me that i was dead
