Their Love

(A Tribute to Linda and Pat)

This is a story of Linda and Pat
Two wonderful people
Whom fell in love and became
Very eternal friends.
As they grew closer together
They were falling deeper in love.

Their lives were enriched with
Love and affection of their two children
One a son, the other a daughter
Forming a bond, one was 6
The other 9, they were so close.

As time rolled by, the happiness
Would wane as Linda would eventually
Lose her beloved Pat, it would leave
Linda so devestated, by Pat's departure.
The tears rolled down her face and heart sank.

Linda misses Pat so much now and can
Only reflect back at their wonderful life together.
Pat is now gone, or is his presence still felt
Shining his wonderful light from Heaven
Touching Linda from above, smiling.

One day Linda and Pat will be reuinited
Once again they wil be at peace together
Holding hands, kissing and reflecting
The love that once was, the time they
First found each other and said I Love You.

Tears and Prayers

Tears and prayers
Were my salvation last night
The tears were cleansing my heart
The prayers were healing it

How can I forgive
Why do I feel so weak

I pray to God

Help me, Lord
Please make me whole

I need you, Lord
Please save my soul
From this betrayal and pain
I kept bottled up inside
For far too long

I was smiling and happy for all to see
But deep in my heart
A pain so forlorn
It was slowly killing me

Thank you Lord
The tears are now spent
The healing and forgiveness
Of your sin
I must now begin

GOOD RIDDANCE

I am tired of feeling less than I am
I tired of closing up like a clam
That is not who I was made to be
That is not who the world should see
I will never add up for you. Tough!
It has been years I am use to it rough
My destiny is mine to shape I am sure
So tomorrow I prepare to walk out the door
For me there is no love in your heart
My understanding has finally gone off the chart
I am getting out of your life this time forever
Because finally for ME I will act clever

Oh, False You

Are you going to stand?
Like the man you say you are?
Or are you gonna run
Like an athlete from Jamaica?

Sweet like sugar she was to you
Easy like pie,
She thought you a dream come true
But You lied when you said
Your love will never die

She gave her trust then her love
She thought you'd just come down from above..
Specially created for her
Like an answer to a long lost prayer.

Didn't know was a game you played
Like a worn out guitar
You drew from her till she knew
It was all take and no give with you

Within her arms
A babe now lies,
The product of a love
No longer true
An almost exact replica of you.

And now... imprisoned,
Behind a self made cell
Afraid to love, to trust again
Maybe.. just maybe
A hero might come....
But for now...
Who can tell?

Return of the shadow

The shadows of darkness have covered my heart
trying to live each day with a piece of me that has been torn apart.

Waking every morning with no desire to see the next day
having my coffee and cigarette with nothing pleasant to say.

Pushing through the day trying to keeping my mind occupied from sadness
another rough day with depressing problems I can't fix starts to bring out my madness.

When the day is done I come home to an empty house, it's so quiet there's not one sound
all the rooms are full of silence, with my day full of madness all I can feel is my head pound.

Sitting in my chair staying up all night dreading to see another day
the same question keeps going through my head " Is there an easier way ? "

The shadow of darkness has once again returned to haunt my life
I'm slowly getting older and im starting to think I'll never find that one and only special wife.

tears

Lonley tears I do weep, wishing I could find the one I seek. My heart crys, leaving my soul alone to die. My soul wishing to make my heart whole, leaving my sprit in dispare. I stare at the stars surounding lonley moon feeling all this gloom. No friend can fill this hollow hole, that I feel deep in my soul. I sit alone and begin to cry, hope diminishing, dreams fade,Im so tired of this escapade.

CALLING ALL POETS!

Stuck in the hallway, shouting at ghosts.

About this poem:
Please add a line. Let it take the poem forwards. Allow it to be as open as possible for the next line that follows. You can add more than one line, but no consecutive additions.
Let's see where it leads.
Let's try for about 2/3 weeks worth.
I'll compile and publish it on here at the end of that time.

Fade to blue and grey

There's a girl on the poster board
you can spot her from the bus
a small alluring interval
on a mediocre ride
each day she fades more
to blue and grey
pigments washing out
edges torn
and in time
she'll be replaced
by an advertisement
for doughnuts
and all the men
will silently sigh
for there's one less peg
holding up the day

Walking the lonely path

Lying awake at midnight
meandering down paths unknown
Looking for a place for my weary soul;

When head is bowed low
and limbs are weary
We look for home beyond the sunset.

Is this how life's journey ends
for some who tirelessly toiled,
Just asking for a brief respite.

Alas! it is their lot in life
to take one step at a time
Walking the lonely path.

Memories

Makes my head hurt
Body jerks
stomach hurts
Feeling like I’ve eaten dirt
Trying not to think of you
left feeling blue
Memories not so good
Smells of nothing sweet
Afraid to close my eyes
Always trying to hide
Hurt to bodies core
Can’t smile anymore
Trying to pick myself up from the floor
Keep hitting my head on the door
Wishing I wasn’t even here
These memories not so dear .
