acceptance

as the harm befell
I reached out in the dim
but....must I have had a cigarette?
I saw no evidence, being in the dark as I was
my fingers crept to the tray
...and yes
there it was!
barely smoldering
.I was grasping it
but instantly I felt aware
that I had been unaware of an amount of time
transfixed as it were
in the jolly goings-on
but then the event...
that....happened!
must have shot before me and carried me off....
a void_________
so perhaps fear or bearing had me reach out for my salvation
.....a cigarette
which now has taken me to this point
I draw upon the object of my salvation
..yes, it is burning...it is still burning
I puff
I deeply inhale my sustenance
all can now be abided, swallowed
whatever happens or has happened will be okay
just as long...just as long....

Dad, Don't Go

Dad , Don't Go
It's still early for me
To let you Go ..
I still need your wise words
I need your Advice
I need your tendrness
I don't want a Goodbye

Dad , Won't you stay
Would you teach me And say
Life aint easy , it's not a play
Than you would hold me
Telling me , Everything will be okay

Dad , Don't Go
Don't just disappear
I still need to see your beautiful face
All your things are still in place
I don't wanna move a thing
Im afraid it would go away

Dad , for the last time
Don't go..
Don't leave me alone
Would you just come back home
I miss you so ..

the girl

the girl that walked on glass. now it is broken and she is free at last. free to travel the roads that bound her, free to travel the roads that unwind , leaving leaving the world she left behind. the girl that walked on glass , now it is broken and she is free at last. by peggy anne

field of dreams

In our field of dreams
as the meadow green
by a slow
running stream

we have moments there
inside our heart
that others
have not seen

it s a house
made up happenings
and special things
etched upon our soul

patchwork quilt
of life and times
we carry alway
often they rhyme

music came too
to give melody
be it 63 or 71
great years to see

its a private place
that we create
wallpaper and paint
love was not late

now some folk dont see
what they mean
and tread them down
like soft evergreen

laughter and distain
falls like rain
as gems are thrown down
causing some pain

we all have things
our live brings
so if you enter in
please respect us there

and if you don't agree
keep it to yourself
and do not hurt
field of dreams

TREMORS IN THE EYES

THERE ARE MINOR TREMORS
WHEN YOU START TO CRY
AS EMOTIONS MOVE
AND FEELINGS RISE
BRINGING TEARS TO ONES EYES

WHEN A LOVER LEAVES
WHEN A ROMANCE DIES
SOMEONE IS UNFAITHFUL
ONE NO LONGER TRIES
REFLECTION IN THE EYES

SEEMS WE WERE BUILT
WITH DUCTS IN THE EYE
SOMEONE HAD SEEN
THAT WE WOULD CRY
WITH TREMORS AND SIGHS

An Angel without Wings

Starry skies

A moonlit night

Sunshine high in all it's warmth and tenderness

Clouds that make a mystical creature and castles above

So I can see

They come to me, those in need

I do not seek but can feel

Pain, need, rejection and sorrow. They have it all.

Blessed am I, an honored guest

If I can, but one to help. To guide. To light a path

If I can, but one assist

Contentment is mine and knowledge of what I am fulfilled

Power not mine, but mine to give

Strength to lend and words to cure

Peace and joy and harmony. Weapons and gifts.

Not mine, but mine to bestow if I can

To give, to be a vessel I am honored and more

To receive I care not. Nice yes, but not needed.

Reward someday

I care not when

Not about me but them

The little ones in need

To self I look.

Physician that cannot heal himself

The healer who can not lay hands on himself

The prophet who sees not his own morrow

The leader who looses himself

Eyes to see but for ones self feeling blind

Ears deafened to my own voice

Sensing, feeling, touching worlds and people not my own

Where am I when alone

Angel they call me, of the highest realm

Knowing what I do not know. Touching what is out of reach. Battling beings beyond my mortal existence.

Yet, I can not fly for myself

Soaring high and fast, the gates shut I can burst through for the heart of another. Flying above the darkness to help one in need. Through the fires and chasms to help the lost.

Yet, I can not fly for myself

An angel without wings

About this poem:
Just another time in the past, when it seems we can be there for anyone else and all of their needs. But when we look at ourselves, we seem lost.

Loneliness

Loneliness, what are you?

Are you but a figment of my imagination?

Are you an entity come to visit me again?

What are you and why?

I can feel this pain, deep in my chest.

Overwhelming, like a blanket that covers my being.

You come and set in when you know you're not welcome.

Your friends you bring with you, I detest to the core.

Depression and Fear, your friends not mine.

I loathe you and you know, you visit too often.

People wonder at me because of you.

I reach out, but none answer, it doesn't work out, nobody's home.

So you, you wretch. You come to visit again.

Friends, I try, but why? To fill a void?

That's no reason for a friend.

They care, I know they do. But still,

the only visitor I have is you.

Shut up, just stop. I know your words.

"You'll stay with me till the end." But you, you'll be my end.

"Go out, meet new people and have a good time."

Though I sit amongst hundreds, you are there with me.

How is it, you are there in the crowd. There when I'm alone. There, always there.

I have desires, but when they don't come through,

You are there.

I have dreams and when they don't happen,

You are there.

I have wants and wishes, and when nothing changes,

You are there.

Why?

Why me?

Leave me alone, for when you are gone

you are gone...

~Solace in the Bottle~

I had found solace with an old friend
Telling all my troubles
One you know will be there till the end…

Had my fill and headed to the door
Fumbling for my keys
Thinking I shouldn’t drive tonight that’s for sure…

Somehow I make it home that night
Driving, yes I know
Wasn’t something all that bright..

I stumble, I fall
Arms reached out for protection
As I wonder down the hall…

Memories flood my mind
So many thoughts of you,
The hurt now numb I find…

Curled upon my bed
With my pillow, knees drawn up
My arms cradling my head…

Tonight I’ll dream of you and me
Wrapped in loving embraces
Once again the way I think it should be…

No broken heart
Just you and your love
Holding me from the start..

I know with tomorrow comes reality
The pain, the spenders
Life with all its fragility..

Others

Im not the same as others
I am alone. left in the dark
do I want to see the sun feel the sun
No I stay hidden away, lock in my dark space away
Will they cry for me? ask for me? or even speak of me?
No! The lips of others they lay in silence because they no not of me
Ha! My life. The sad story of my life.
Im not the same as others so I have no life.
Im just a echo of pain.

Sad Tears

Sad,sad tears.
So many of them.
Too many of them.

I see too much.
I know too much.
I feel so much.

And your still not here.
To kiss my sad tears.
To kiss my pain.

To share the burden,
That one such as I,
Must carry.

Alone I keep, the secrets I know.
All on my own.
