feelin' 'round

sometimes when we're lost, need found
wonderin' what happened back there
find ourselves dazed, lookin' 'round
what made us feel like this...despair

we know we should be grateful now
jus' want to turn this thinkin' 'round
but can't seem to get into it somehow
get these feet back on solid ground

where is that centered nirvana state
we think we can remember back then
just make these blues disappear...abate
peaceful before, wanna get back again

hands weighing tons are hard to reach out
fumblin' 'n stumblin', movin' a hard motion
when megrims surround the soul with doubt
when feelin' da blues is life's hued emotion

we all get da blues, in a friendless funk
but passin' through these pitiable times
hear eight bar guitars, our gaiety shrunk
wrappin' ourselves in blue quatrained rhymes

we'll make it past to sunnier days fo' sho'
so sing and hum and stomp, cry and moan
put dem blues down when we don't want no mo'
yet know with the blues we're never alone

Despair

Do you seek the comfort

Of a touching hand

Does it make you feel

Your from a special land

Will it help you heal

Whatever that has to mend

Or is it that your lonely

An require a special friend

Just someone close

To show that they will share

A friend a lover A rock to lean on

To rid you of despair

Blue Horizons

I gazed ahead to the towering heights
Of the mountains far away.
Their peaks were bright
With the sun's white light
At the dawning of the day.

The sky above was very blue
And even the mountainside
Had grass that grew
With a bluish hue
Displaying steadfast pride.

Yes blue it was and will always be.
The horizon's always blue.
Thought it may look bright
And laced with light,
The truth will still show through.

Though I've got pride in what I've done
And all I hope to do,
When I see the sun
I see no fun
In horizons that look so blue.

About this poem:
I wrote this many, many years ago after going to boot camp in the Army 3 weeks after my 17th birthday at my parents strong urging. Finishing boot camp and in AIT with news that I was going to be stationed in Germany, I felt like a very lost person being jostled through life like a cow through a chute, vowing to do my best but not know nor understanding nor even really hoping for happiness. I was just thinking about my life's journey and remembering some of the beginnings, I thought I'd share.

Am I Crazy or just Alone?

I dream of love but wake up with nothing I think of something they say nothing. I desire it bad and it drives me mad. I pray for hope that I no longer need to be a joke, so I'm not a man of your dreams but I know that I'm real, when I know I can feel. So don't act like you dont see me
I'm not a Ghost I'm not even dead, I think and feel like most.

About this poem:
I just wrote how I feel about this world and how hard it is to find real
love, when most people these days are so shallow to even know what love is all about.

Abode of death

Battle of Afghan hath begun
Relentless spirit of a Mater mind on end,
Brilliance of the earth's best army on another,
Between the unending spirit of two
Lay the hopes of Eastern Mother's & West Mother's.

Afrah hath not sighted her beloved
Hunger had struck her hut for long
Prayers were cast with celestial strength
For her child had vested hopes in future
A knock on the door she felt that day
Rushed to the door with unending hopes
Aghast# Irfan's corpse lay breathless at her breast !

Angela monitored the news with hope
A beloved was waiting in her womb
Passionless days past in her calendar
Suffering the hunted pain of mother hood
She arouse to a ringing bell
Measuring her thoughts opened the door
Aghast# John hath returned in a state of coma !

Days and night hath passed in Afghan
Vultures enjoyed the winter-fall profits
Suffering mothers raised their head
Fronting their gaze, a Grand drousy figure stood
With grandeur passion it laughed and said
"I am Thanatos-Demon personification of death"

HOLD ON TO LIFE

DONT

LET GO

DONT SURRENDER

HOLD ON TO YOURSELF

DARKNESS HOLDS FEARS

NIGHTS UNCERTAINTY

MORNINGS BRING LIGHT

HOLD ON AND SEE

NO MATTER HOW DARK

REACH FOR A FRIEND

ALWAYS SOMEONE

WILL REACH OUT FOR YOU

EVERYONE HAS

UNIQUENESS AND VALUE

HOLD ON TO YOURSELF

DONT LET GO

OF LIFE

O' How I Miss You

Open my eyes, an hour has gone by.

Sun goes down. Call your name.

See my breath, an hour goes by.

It's cold outside.

Touch your face, shed a tear.

It's only been a year.

Close my eyes, hear your voice.

I call your name.

The moon rises above, an hour goes by.

Open my eye's, give you a kiss.

Walk away.

Leaving you behind the gate.

As the moon's light shines on where you lay.

When the clocks stop

I had a light in my hands
The way was bright and secure
It was an illusion, or a nightmare?
As the time runnes in seconds, minutes and days
I get more and more lost.

Time is running behind me
As all the old clocks had stopped
In that moment of truth, of your last word
One second I felt lost.

I'm going down, more down
I'm falling in to the center of my soul
As I'll become a point, a light
Where from I'll be reborn.

East and West

There is a peculiar air
It comes to me from the east
East is where “it” resides
Gaining strength in the open sunrise
It cascades and filters down toward the west
West is where I reside, with the sunset
Can sunrise and sunset coincide?
How I wish they would, oh how I wish….
If only sunrise could see what happens after sunset
“It” doesn’t see beyond its rise, so far gone within itself
Come to me, remove your veil and you shall see
Far beyond what you think you see….
